Y&R: Tony Morina accused of sexual harassment. Sony being sued.
When you add up all the behind the scenes garbage, you realize these shows just don't even have a chance to remotely succeed when they very well could. When you have a network and cast invested (NBC/Days), they succeed even when the writing is, to put it lightly, questionable. It's clear the DAYS cast even the messy GH cast get along.

They're beyond checked out so I'm not at all surprised we've heard nothing. CBS/Sony is a MESS. Yikes. Again, stems from the top. Les Moonves ran this network for what two decades? How many actresses did he and Kent get blacklisted that should be *stars* right now? This industry ...

Exactly. And I believe this. You'd think. But nope. Tumbleweeds could blow by ... And yes as everyone else said, Steve Kent needs TO GO too. It ALWAYS stems from the top. "If they do it so can I" And also, these people have enablers all around them. Y&R has never sounded like a 'fun set' to be a part of, honestly.

General Hospital: August 2021 Discussion Thread
I was wondering that too LOL. I like Monaco fine when she's interested, but she can turn on a dime and be so checked out. Korman-Hartley just has so much ... energy. But she has perked up and has chemistry with Zamprogna. IMO. I didn't expect them to but they do. It is a little odd how they seem to have no interest in addressing Lulu. It's just "well she's not well so move on!" LMAO. Gotta love soaps. I guess Drew came first.

They do. It's just laughable that Jason is still a mob enforcer at this point in his life. And Carly the valley soccer mom doesn't work as a badass mob bitch. Sarah Brown/Tamara Braun could pull it off. Ms. Wu needs a son or daughter going after Josslyn/Cameron.

Peacock Orders DAYS Spinoff: Beyond Salem
Yeah, I imagine they used the money for the 'guest stars' and not the sets. We'll never see 90s primetime special budgets again. I was hoping for something more than re-dressed sets. But we'll see. I know some will say "just wait or you don't know for sure" but it doesn't look great in terms of the sets. At least it may hopefully be better than simply replacing 'Salem PD' sticker with a Zurich sticker and calling it a day ... Soaps just don't do a great job anymore at 'setting the scene'. I miss that. But it is what it is. No budget is no budget.

General Hospital: August 2021 Discussion Thread
So do I on Mathison. Maybe if ABC Daytime hadn't shoved certain stars down our throats for a decade I'd have a different attitude. They are electric together. I LOVE the twist of Esme, too. However, the casting is a bit too Willow/Nelle for me. I like her though. I'd already take her over Willow (don't even get me started on how she's now a nurse). I loved the scenes of Britt on the outside looking in as the nurses and Terry had a good ole time together. LOL. It was a bit too much of Britt but I get what they're going for and Thiebaud sold it very well. I feel like the writing is all over the place with Jason and Carly. As well as how they're trying to sell Jason and Britt. Lord a whole 'nother month until these fools get married? The show is clearly dragging this out for the sake of dragging it out and they're not even trying to make the stakes high or interesting. Can we keep Ms. Wu? I'm just thrilled it's a nutcase and someone outside of the 'four' lol. They've needed some real conflict and a [!@#$%^&*] stirrer. I've wanted them to branch out and have more than each other as friends. I mean, we can get a dozen extras for Nixon Falls parties but we can't get teens at a rager? lol

Agreed. He was nervous in the beginning but damn is he becoming comfortable. I think he's excellent casting as Spencer. I couldn't be happier. That look Spencer gives Trina? Yasssssss honey. I'm all in on Sprina. I loved their pool scenes. I definitely saw some chemistry. I feel like Dominic Zamprogna could have chemistry with a phone book though. He's been so checked in since he returned. I have to say Monaco looks deflated in her scenes talking about Drew LOL. It's like night and day. The pacing has been good and I like who's been featured. And man, it's REALLY time to move on from the mob. At least with Guza/Phelps they made it ugly and destructive and there were consequences to actions. This is boring, sorry. So much potential with Jason and Carly and this stuff and it's falling flat. Dragging out the Sonny story so Mo could do other things is hurting the Jason/Carly story, as is the two of them having insane for today episode guarantees. So much endless discussion and not much movement. They are doing a poor job showing us the danger the mob presents, JMO. Which tells me they aren't invested in it and it's all for plot.

Legendary Sitcom Star Joins DAYS and Reunites With Former Co-Star
That was my thought too. Booooo lol. I assume it was written short on purpose and to test the waters if you will. I hope they ask her back. I can't believe they wouldn't ...

I liked Monday and Tuesday's episodes. This is a General Hospital I'd watch. Nikolas is being rightfully dragged but I didn't mind him giving Spencer a taste of his own medicine (and I like the air of doubt about his guilt). I imagine there's more than one stalker. However, can't say I'm enthused about Cam Mathison. He's just not that great of an actor, sorry ... very likeable guy but he's never been an amazing actor, those around him usually help. I'm sad so much airtime will likely be devoted to him. Meh. I just don't care about Drew either. I like Dante and Sam together 🤷♂️

Yep, that's what I would do. He's expendable and at this point so is Ingo.

Days 8/16/21 weekly preview
Typical Ron though. Has to put his 'stamp' on things. For what though? In his writing, nothing ultimately matters. Paulina will still be the aunt, Abe will still be considered her father and Tamara her mother. Ron loves wasting our time. But it should give the actors some good material I suppose. You'd hope. And I want to point out, Alarr was thrilled with Marla Gibbs and told Ron she could 'do more' ... hope some of you are her age and still getting work LOL

GH: August Spoilers
Yep. It comes off like Frank just can't help himself ... I really think Dan and even Chris "get it" but the show is a hot mess BTS, just feels like agendas getting pushed.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'm kinda used to the block storytelling, I get it (don't always love it), but they did seem to do a much better job in the past. It's gotten better in the last week or so actually LOL. It's just a silly complaint I guess, but it was SO noticeable. I figured it was more for the protocols and everything, keeping certain cast together in bubbles and not mixing them too much. But I think I'm starting to see what was the growing complaint pre-covid. We'll see. The balance just feels ... odd. I don't notice it quite as bad on Hollyoaks (which is guilty of storylines going missing for weeks on end) or EastEnders. But like you said, Corrie has a very large cast, which I love, but I just miss the 'feeling' of the show I guess. It's a bit lost and feels kinda empty in the Street.

GH: August Spoilers
Same. It's too bad because this character, ignoring the Howarth casting, could have had a lot of potential. Especially in the mix of this Mildew/Chase drama and the Brook/Maxie baby switch. But of course it's Howarth and ... sigh. I really did try to give him a chance again in a new role but I'm over it.

Yes please. But we can't have nice things. Would love to see her at GH. I knew Lenny wouldn't make it from the start, siiiigh. They immediately mentioned he had a heart condition so his days were numbered from the start. I'm disappointed for sure though. I wish they reversed course and kept him. Rif Hutton is good. All this for Mo Benard emmy bait?

GH: August Spoilers
I like most of it for the most part. I still think the overall "focus" remains tone deaf and geared towards the pets but the writers are still trying to make it all work, even if I'm starting to have some issues with it. I have no interest in grandpa Austin with Maxie. Lord. This show is deliberately trolling us. They HAVE to be.

General Hospital: August 2021 Discussion Thread
I'd rather keep Lenny and see Sonny finally croak. Sigh. lol. We should be keeping both of them. Someone Lenny's age is needed. We already have Stella too. Now Phyllis. Both can exist of course but where's the patriarch? Taggert? LOL

Genie Francis Taking a Leave of Absence from ‘General Hospital’ to Spend Time With Family
I think all she's ever wanted from this show is a summer break and equal treatment. Nice to see her at least get the summer off.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
LOL at both EastEnders and Corrie having a hit and run story. Both are different of course but still LOL. I kinda feel like they didn't know what to do with Shona, David and Todd (and Abi) so here we are. Abi had the Seb stuff but Shona and David have been on the backburner since I've started regularly watching in May. It's odd, since May, I've barely seen George and Eileen, now they're on frequently and their relationship is ending. If you just jumped in and had no idea ... the balance is a bit odd on the UK soaps. Same thing for Ryan and Alya. I think they appeared like once in May and now here they are on frequently in the midst of their Daisy drama. Is it more of a recent COVID protocol thing? I know they often focus on certain storylines but there's usually more going on in the background. I don't know. The flow isn't great but it's not the worst. I can see they're doing a better job having more extras now in the background and using more of the cast together again.

‘General Hospital’ Honors the Life of Stuart Damon With On-Air Tribute – WATCH
Ah, thank you for that. I guess that WAS it then. I figured it would be something like that and not an actual episode dedicated to him, but that seemed to be the growing assumption on social media. So I fell into that I suppose lol.

General Hospital: August 2021 Discussion Thread
lol it's so bad. The propping is unreal. You waste Elizabeth on this creature? And drag out Felix to prop Sabrina 2.0? LOL. This show is deliberately tone deaf. Willow makes me MISS Sabrina. My God, make it end. And Austin, as a character, has a lot of potential. Shame it's played by long checked out Roger Howarth with that awful manbun. Siiiigh. The character should be younger. JMO. Brando's actor would have been better as Austin. The storyline is also like 5-7 years too late IMHO And Cameron Mathison would have made a better Steven Lars recast. But of course he's Drew. Although Drew, unfortunately, makes more sense, story-wise, at the moment. Nothing says "General Hospital" more than featuring Todd, Ryan, Greenlee and John McBain. Brian Frons would be so proud.
