Agreed. Thy could be used better but the interest doesn't seem to be there. Alexander Kiriakis seems like such a missed opportunity. Istead we get "Xander Cook". LOL. I love Xander but that was the period where we got "Xander" instead of Alex and "Serena" instead of Sarah and I'm still annoyed about it. Anywho that's me being petty about stupid things no one else cares about LOL ... Wally works better for me on GH. He's always been Ned to me. I never had the attachment to Justin and Adrienne even though I love the actors.

Good to hear about Lucy Allan. I do think the younger crew could use better focus so that should help. I like the balance they have right now; it's not too dark but not fluffy either and you feel like you have a sense of what's driving these people. I do think some of the 'bite' Kirkwood has is gone so I do worry about the 'boring' aspect of Allan's past tenure coming out. Right now they have a good balance. Meanwhile, seems they're doubling down on Luke's impending demise. Shame. Love the actor and the character. But if I had to pick one to off, it would be him. He ties so many of the 'old guard' together and his death could be felt forever so I get it. Still sucks.

To write Bonnie and Justin out I guess. Wally and Judi allegedly haven't taped since June. I don't want to hear any whining from Cin stans on social media. Ya'll got your dumb-ass "romance". Shut up. I really wish SSH would go back to more understated performances. Ever since JER circa 2004 she's been campy. It doesn't help that the writing could be a lot better for her. Still, will be nice to see Doug and Julie on-screen even if the story is probably all sorts of WTF-ery. I dislike a lot of the camp Ron writes but at least he appreciates Doug/Julie and Jarlena and knows their place.

Yeah. Like I said, if I had to narrow on people to cut, it would be them, unfortunately. They should cast Judi as Liz's mom on GH. Frank loves handing out contracts. Unless you're a GH vet or you don't have abs so ...

I agree. I love them too but if I had to cut some people ... it would likely be them. I get it, sadly. I'd rather see more of Steve/Kayla and Tony/Anna. And there's a lot of things we seem to hear about "off-screen" that I'd much rather see. LOL

I have to admit they're striking the right tone for the streaming service. They had pulled me in with Saved by the Bell but I'm here for Beyond Salem and I'll definitely check this out once it hits the service. While I appreciated it for what it was at the time, I didn't love the Showtime version of QAF. The depressing setting never helped. I love this version will be in New Orleans. That alone interests me.

I'd probably argue if the constraints of daytime were taken away, we could have nice things lol. I agree I want this to be a success and lead to more. People are definitely hoping this paves the way to open the door for more opportunities and the soaps to move online. I think the best bet is them moving online.

Chandler thrives when he's opposite someone he has fun with. Not saying he doesn't like Freddie but their vibe died a long time ago. Chandler came alive with Christopher Sean and they clearly had a bromance. I see something similar with Zach Tinker, who has a good personality on his own. I'm not surprised they mesh. Hopefully they do come back to the main show. It feels like it's just a matter of when, not if.

LOL at stripper Blando. It was nice to see Bobbie I hope it does too. I didn't expect them to spark so much but I love them. Obrecht was definitely struggling for a purpose but because the actress is so good how could they not keep her? She feels revived by all of this. So does Scott. And I love Scott's relationship with Elizabeth. These are the two best things to come out of that awful Friz.

Yeah she has lol. I'm sold on him too. Love him anyway but I like the idea of him playing a crazy Cassadine villain. It works. He's great. I assume because he's on contract the Obrecht obsession will fade ... I love Scotty and Obrecht together lol. I'm glad they suddenly have a story. I won't hold my breath they remain the focus but it's still nice. Trina and Ava had excellent scenes together. I just love them together.

Jarlena definitely are the face. I think because it's a caper that ties them all together - I'm assuming - it makes sense who's included and who might not be. You also have to go with 'stars' who can be marketable faces to the mainstream. It makes sense who they picked. I'd rather see Tony and Anna, than say Steve and Kayla forced into it. I love Paul too. I always felt we got shafted of a real triangle. I know Christopher Sean is keeping busy but I'd love to see him back. Or, if need be, find a capable recast. I think the show can do it. But we can't even get a drag queen in a promo on NBC so ... Paul as an ISA agent kinda writes itself, doesn't it? I have to admit I can't remember if he walked before he left or not. LOL. My memory can be crap, especially on periods I start to tune out.

It's kinda sad when you think about it that Kayla and Steve don't even fit into Beyond Salem. Beyond Salem does make me miss Bope and that we're stuck with the bootleg version. Have we all forgot about Sexy Retcon Paul? Would have been nice to see him included instead of Peter Porte, who I'm guessing is a double crossing agent. I loved Paul/Will working together for that brief hot minute we had them as a couple. Though now I figure I'll be shipping Wilson again. I could have seen Paul and Will the new John/Marlena so to speak. lol.

I get where you're coming from. Frankly, Kristen shouldn't be a regular character because they can't sustain her as one. Stacy's Kristen became very watered down until they needed to write her out so out came the crazy. I agree with Vee they need to work with Eileen on this. She does seem willing. If they can work it out with Alison Sweeney they can work it out with Eileen. It's not like Y&R is interested. Even though she always has preferred it there.

Frankly, at this point, I think they'd play anything and be happy about it. Oh God. Hush your mouth on Ben! LMAO!!!! I agree. I'd want John to rescue me. I wouldn't mind Steve but he seems to go missing for weeks at a time ... omg! lol. yes you should I usually log on without coffee and that never goes well

Me too. I'm so excited to see her as Kristen again. And I'm glad to hear she shares scenes with Hunley. Kristen/Anna is gold.

Gladys is great. She's the type of character soaps needs. Entertaining, moves the plot along and causes trouble. I'm here for it. I still worry she ends up in a body bag. We can't have nice things.

lol right? I don't get it. Something definitely did seem to change around 2014/2015 (and I noticed a similar shift on ABC with GH but that was a hot mess regardless ...) Weird.
