I LOVED Horita. I say that as an old school Wilson fan. I dunno what happened to them but it became Paul and Will all the way for me. Sonny has potential on his own, IMO. They could turn him darker but Freddie didn't play darker all that well. I like Freddie too but I'm open to a Sonny recast. And we can't have nice things I guess. Not sure why they haven't gone there with Adrienne/Bonnie. It made sense. I see no point now I guess so that's probably why. Bonnie is basically turning into Adrienne so what was the point? Another of Ron's "shock" moments that means nothing. I also wanted to randomly add it pisses me off that Ron only sees Claire and Theo as Cin plot devices. Especially Theo. And Claire dates a crazy rapist with mommy issues and it becomes about Claire supporting Ben? Like ...

He's making that YouTube money LOL But he seems pretty happy and content in his life at the moment. He seems settled in Florida. Sonny can be recast (or killed off). I always kinda thought it would have made more sense for Sonny to die, allowing Will and Paul to be free and move on. And it would have impacted Justin, Adrienne, etc. But we got what we got (Adrienne dead and Bonnie playing 90s Adrienne) ...

It's so bizarre to me that, and as much as I love Finola, they have Anna as some romantic heroine but have Felicia latched onto Mac when she too could be just as involved (same for Lucy Coe). And viewers love seeing Mac. So we see neither of them. It's so bizarre. I know Kristina has had some losses and took time away but is she just done with GH or are they not interested? Why is Felicia not there for Maxie? Hell, why don't they use Mac more? They could do better. It's not hard. They prove they can when I see them use Monica effectively this month. It's really crazy seeing the stanbases of different couples and actors lose their minds. It's time to stop catering to them and it seems GH got the memo. Meanwhile, Ron continues to cater to the Cin stans ... The Bechtel stans border on creepy to me. Let it goooooo .... I think Chavez has the energy of Spencer down. I'm happy so far. It's hilarious seeing the Jasam fans think they are the 'foundation the show was built on' ... like .. get out of here with that nonsense! But after the Phelps/Guza years of endless Sonny/Carly/Jason/Sam, their stans can't bear it when they aren't on everyday doing the same thing. I include Fanna but really I don't see many stans for them, just a general 'EVERY COUPLE GOT BROKEN UP THE SHOW SUCKS' (when most of those couples SUCKED). The FRIZ stans were the worst. They already stan Austin and Liz. Like ... LORD. What they really are is a stan of Howarth. I also don't understand the stans clinging to Julian either. Like they think the 'show sucks now' because he's dead. Some crazy stan even wants Sonny to be DREAMING all of this. Just because they're unhappy they aren't being catered to. "Everyone is acting out of character" ... lol. You can't make this stuff up. I think it was just blatantly clear they needed Spencer and Bechtel can't pull it off. I think his appearance last year was a 'test' that failed and Frank finally had to accept it. Especially when, for years, Spencer and Cam were 'rivals' as kids. They really had no choice.

Especially since Freddie isn't interested in returning. Time for Will/Paul again ... I'm really liking Dan as EJ. It's different yet it works for me; like Brandon as Stefan, it does help me ignore the messier aspects of the character and give him a fresh chance. I agree on James Scott. It often worked because of him. I think that's the only reason EJ gained any traction was because of how popular Scott is. And he and Sweeney seemed almost obsessed with working with each other and it weirdly worked? But EJ/Sami as 'endgame' was never something I bought. It definitely didn't help different regimes did different things with him. Dena was the one gungho about EJami wasn't she? (Yet she's the one who finally paired Lumi - so Tomlin? Yet he busted them up with Abby and had EJ shot like he was a nothing character) I know Hogan started it though and we had the dumb letter storyline. Ron seems to definitely be playing up Lumi. It's about time. LOL. But with Ron baiting me on Phloe, I can't say I trust him 100% to do the right thing with these couples LOL. Look at Ericole ... he only seems to care about Cin and THANKFULLY Jarlena. LOL.

Kirkwood could be dark, twisted and go way too far (and was very kill happy ... several mistakes made here) but he did seem to love the show. You can see while the structure of the show feels the same, it's less dark. Not a bad thing. I'm still interested in what's going on. So the take on Lucy Allan seems like she'll do a good job continuing the same pace/feel of the show but how is she regarded generally? I don't feel like I've familiarized myself enough with her. Clearly she's responsible for bringing back Donna-Marie, Zara and Prince? I'm good with that. Hopefully some more returns to come. Too bad Kirkwood killed so many characters LOL they have to go back 16 years ... I LOVED Aedan as Olli. He looked perfectly cast as well as Luke's son. The new Olli works but it just isn't the same at all. I'm sorry I'm unaware of why the change took place? I didn't look it up. Did Aedan leave so they recast or was it a choice? Speaking of Tony/Mercedes, it does seem quite often they forget or ignore places where history should be mentioned and used. I love Hollyoaks but it can definitely put plot over character.

Julie appeared too? Wow. I had the same memory as others that she was off-screen and 'dying' or having cancer. I guess I didn't pay much attention at the time. I didn't have the appreciation for the character then I do now that I've watched more of her so I guess it was easy to forget. I definitely remember her 1999 appearance. How easy she fit right back in. I don't think 1999/2000 are appreciated enough considering what came after LOL

I have to admit, good question LOL! I personally don't know how I feel. I think Craig is just a douchey dude who thinks he's better than he is at acting so it's a turn off? Meanwhile ... it's really kinda sad and pathetic seeing stans on social media cling to couples who had no chemistry and whine about how they aren't being catered too (all the while spinning it as the show is 'bad' etc.) anymore. I'm glad they dumped Julian, "Friz", "Fanna", "Jasam", "Carson" ... I mean, we all have our faves. But it's the spinning of 'how bad the show is' that makes me roll my eyes. They're just pissed they aren't being catered to.

Yeah, exactly. EJ shouldn't even be welcomed in any room. The writing was always all over the place with Scott's EJ. It's why I could never fully invest. He's bad, no he's really not, yes he is, now he's dead. I enjoyed him with Nicole, Abby ... Sami as his soulmate just never worked for me (especially the rape which never should have happened). Them obsessed with each other and believing it's love? That works for me. But we'd need deeper writing for that ...

Yikes. What a way to end ... Tyler is burnt out and has given up I lost interest a very long time ago. It was soooo messy and bad.

I loved when Uncle Ron ("The Writer") had Michael embrace being a Quartermaine and go after Sonny (remember Michael going for custody of Avery?). I couldn't see this Michael doing any of it. He's become a total blah-fest. I'm over it. I wanted Michael to become an alcoholic. Imagine him drunk and reading his sainted parents for filth. So much potential with Michael but they want him as some Stone Cold Jr. who seems to be nothing but a Mommy's boy. He feels more like Jason's son than AJ/Carly/Sonny's. Like ... dude ... become more interesting LOL Trina has Spencer's number and I LOVE it. I'm afraid to get too invested in them together. But I love their dynamic. She's exactly who he needs. I love seeing more of Molly and TJ. It's about damn time. I have to admit it's sometimes hard to keep up with who's related to who. It didn't help that Alexis and Nikolas really haven't shared scenes until she was going to prison. It's easy to forget. I love the natural tie-in with Shawn and Alexis and the Hayden shooting. Yet, Hayden's absence remains absolutely glaring. Howarth can get his third role and they can hire Cameron Mathison but where's Rebecca Budig? Does Frank have a petty issue with her too? Does she live in California or does she travel? The outside scenes did have nice lighting. I'm just not buying what they want to sell with Liz and Finn. I wouldn't mind a hookup as long as Hayden walks in during it. I have to say it's probably time to explore Jason and Liz again. Rebecca and Steve have chemistry. IMHO. Although it's also (past) time to address the issue of Lucky Spencer. I'd much rather be seeing a recast Lucky coming than a recast Drew (allegedly supposedly )

Yep. It should be Carrie/EJ. I agree 10000% lol. I've wanted that FOREVER. And for me, EJ and Sami were always "obsessed" with each other. I buy he's possessive of her. Everything about their relationship is regarding control. I've never bought they were truly in love. I didn't want them to bust up Belle and Shawn but it's time for her to have another kid and a messy who's the daddy would liven things up for them (and wouldn't be the first time but I'm wondering if Nicole gets the surprise miracle baby so I guess scratch that for Belle). I don't feel like 30-somethings should be supporting, they should be driving story. But they needed some on-screen happiness for sure. I'm an Ericole fan. I liked Jensen's version with Ari and I liked Greg's version. I think they're sold more as soulmates than they should be just based on how long Eric was off-canvas as Nicole thrived (for a while). I think they work well together. Eric doesn't really seem to work with anyone else and Nicole always seems lost without Eric. But the writing doesn't always back it up. I do think Eric needs to be recast if Greg doesn't want to be around full time anymore. Ericole have definitely been ... under-served, if that makes sense?

It does. I truly can't believe we have this man on his third role and it's just ... accepted. Another reason soaps are dismissed. I agree. I feel like the younger adults on soaps are just so bland and boring and stuck in the usual cliches. It's a wonder any of them stick around and most flee ... (meanwhile, Chanel and Allie on DAYS are exactly what I'd expect from 20-somethings; sexually fluid and "free spirited") The Mike story is "slow burn" for story purposes of course, but it's also so Mo Benard can do something else (away from the show; so he needed to work less). Again it's the show catering to him. And I do like the new pool set. I love how everyone just ... goes there now LMAO. I agree the backgrounds look ... noticeable. I also want to say that I appreciate them going outdoors but none of it looks like New York. As having been to both NY and CA, it's clear they're in CA. Sorry lol but do better. Dante and Chase were so homoerotic. I swear the actors do it on purpose. I like their bromance. Dominic Zamprogna seems ... revived after being checked out (IMO). It's nice to see. They're spoiling me with Monica. Watch her disappear for weeks and weeks now. lol I'm really starting to want a new Michael. Chad Duell has become a massive weak link.

I think Belle and EJ have chemistry. You know Belle's horny as all get out and loves cock so she'd be all over it. I'd be down for another affair. Sweeney and Dan are cute together but have no chemistry together. I doubt they cast someone who would have no chemistry together but my guess is ultimately EJ will move on elsewhere.

I really think it is. He's so afraid to lose Howarth again even when it seems even Howarth knows it's time to move on (yet didn't stop him from collecting a paycheck, but who can blame him? lol) I agree on his early scenes in 2013. He should have been Jimmy Lee's son then. Sigh. It has a lot of potential but I just don't care anymore. I also wonder if I'd care if it were anyone else playing "Austin". It just feels a little too late and with Jimmy Lee dead, it's almost like what's the point except to give him Q ties and ensure he's tied to the canvas. I'd also argue they should have cast someone in their 30s to play Austin instead of Howarth (of course Austin was created FOR Howarth so it's moot but still ...). We have way too many middle-aged men (JMO). The canvas feels a bit unbalanced. It was the *stupidest* move to make him Franco. Who truly thought that was a good idea? There's definitely contempt towards the audience. Easton as Finn doesn't really bother me anymore (who should be Tom Hardy) but it's just as ridiculous as Howarth playing so many characters. Enough. I didn't like when Tamara Braun played character #2 either (and we won't even talk about Bonnie and Roman on DAYS)
