Feels like that's what's going to happen. And now I'm even more annoyed Will the reporter isn't around for his grandmother's second possession. The luxury of the two year renewal is that they have the time now to make the effort and tell a longer story. But frankly, when they didn't have the luxury of time, they wasted a lot of it. I've seen a few of those as well (and I'm seeing some get their teens into GH with Spencer/Trina). It's definitely interesting folks who aren't regular soap viewers. I think the soaps have more of a future streaming than I realized. It's the move that needs to be made. Interest is there. It really is. IF being the key word. The promo was nice. But it was a promo. I really really hope they do this justice. It COULD work. I'm nervous as hell though.

I'm weary too (budget and Ron can get stupid in his nods) but it's worked out well for them timing wise and promotionalwise. While it's bringing up online "I stopped watching" ... well, those who stopped are in the minority compared to who started watching. Beyond Salem has definitely interested folks who have checked out of DAYS or are stans of other soaps. They really need to build on this momentum. I just feel like the main show can often be a turn off ... lol

Exactly. This better be written decently (I wont say 'good' - it's Ron and on NBC). This is the perfect transition from Beyond Salem to the main show by focusing on the classic Possession storyline. And centering it on the four core vets of the show is brilliant. How blessed are we to have 90+ year old Bill Hayes involved in this? The Hayes' are very excited. And to others, because no one seems to listen to me: it will go on for MONTHS. It was still going on in January/February 2022. It's not a one-off. How could it be? Doug's behavior is related to this.

THIS. Something *clearly* shifted. Yep. It has to be Frank interfereing. Who else is there? I mean, does he rush to the writers and say "I booked Shaughnessy for six months - write him in ASAP"? LOL It just has veered off track. They had good momentum. Frankly, I didn't mind the whole "just end Michael/Willow/Chase" but man what a letdown after months and months of suffering through it. I at least want a payoff.

Through a streaming service I can watch the UK networks so I've been able to more easily watch compared to searching through youtube and dailymotion and downloading. I watched a recent episode I found on DailyMotion and the show interests me. I'll have to do some research on it and try to get into it. Funny you mention Home and Away. I did start watching that a few months ago but I keep forgetting about it. It's sometimes hard to keep up when you don't make it a part of your routine. I liked what I was watching. I have little interest anymore in the US soaps, sadly, so I've found myself depending on the UK/Aussie/NZ soaps.

I assume she lives? lol Curtis all of a sudden "I never stopped loving you" as Portia stands there all angsty. I guess it could still go either way. All the talk around her felt like anvils of impending death ("you're so strong" "you've come back to us before" etc) but with this show? LOL In the next two weeks of spoilers I've read I don't see Curtis/Portia/Jordan listed at all. Hmm. Kristina is back though (not sure if we see her). Ava asks her to look after Charlie's Pub while she's gone. A better cast Kristina should be attempting to take over Sonny's business.

Ah, that's it. I approve of it lol. It's so much better. It really is so much better. She sucked the life out of it. Being on Zoom didn't help but I was getting so used to it, like I said, I didn't realize how much I missed them in the studio.

Nope she couldn't. Her Nina would be wailing and pacing and panicking and snapping at everyone. She could never do the layers Watros adds.

She sure has. Nina and her 'legacy' remain useless but Watros is great. I knew we'd got an upgrade with her and she proved me right. I was watching some clips from 2014 for some reason a little while back and Nina was in her wheelchair with Stafford doing her ticks and stuttering and it was so bad. Kelly Monaco looked amazing though. Back when they were pushing Monaco and Easton together.

Reading the last few pages of the thread and I may have to check Shortland Street out. I always kind of forget about it when I get back into the UK/NZ/Aussie soaps.
