I actually think you move her into Alex's world more as a schemer or even David's (if they recast) and wanted to take Renee into a different direction. I feel like she was peripherally involved with Marlena as well so Roman would have been more obvious than Bo to me. Just with the Tony/Anna connection and it could have been a messy mess with Anna/Tony/Renee/Marlena/Roman. I do think the show was all in with Roman/Marlena at that point though. I feel like there were more options with Renee with how many cast members she was involved with. It would have taken creative thinking, but easier than trying to move Megan into different circles because she was much more one note.

Renee, absolutely. She had a lot of places to go on the canvas and could have created years of drama. Megan, not so much. She was a plot device used as a spoiler for Bo/Hope. I suppose the show could have kept her, but if I had to choose one of the two it would be Renee.

Leave it to GH to tie one of my least favorite characters to my least favorite story lol. It does work for fast forward containment purposes. If Emma and Britt have to work together and become buddies I will not be happy. It's funny because I always thought KT dressed older than her age as Britt. She is/was a Dr. so it makes sense, but she certainly wasn't the gay icon fashionista the show made her out to be lol.

I am mad Willow and Drew didn't get married and wish she dropped the bomb at the reception or something. Lack of drama there. But Willow showing up in her wedding dress with smeared mascara completely unhinged at CARLY'S trying to see her kids was amazing. Also, in a subplot no one cares about; why would Molly get flustered about Cody seeing her reading romance novels? Because it juvenile since she actually was a young girl when she wrote her own books? Yes, it's so embarrassing having two published novels because she's just a serious girl these days that isn't proud of her accomplishments.

They broke up this last week. Abe and Paulina were talking about and then Belle was talking to Claire about it in the same episode on the phone. The show didn't give a reason. I assume one of the characters is possibly coming back? Probably Theo? But I have no spoilers to back this up.

And Claire and Theo just broke up off screen. No reason given lol.

Ron did start mentioning Peter regularly especially after Missy left, so I always figured the show would recast or bring him back. Oh, well.

I think it was good Days found a pairing that was popular and buzz worthy with fans. It had been years and the show tends to just coast on their main, older supercouples. It was just a lot of baggage-and not an ideal long-term pairing. Ben/Ciara ended up being very isolated from the rest of the cast because it became too weird to defend the pairing after a while. And characters like Eve, Theo, and Claire ended up thrown under the bus to make Ben look better. That's why I really can't get a read on VK's talent. She spent her entire Days career propping Ben/RSW, so it's hard to tell if she's as good as people think.

It was very clear when VK started having input in her wardrobe. Her Ciara started out as more of a tomboy, riding motorcycles, and being bratty. In her defense I do feel like the show had Ben/Ciara having sex every episode for months and months. Like that was their story before Ciara decided she wanted a baby.

Lol! If I was VK I'd probably have my boobs hanging out all day too! I just find Ciara hilarious in the fact that her boobs are on display at the most inopportune times like on her Dad's death bed and the cameraman was practically zooming down her shirt while she was begging Bo to live.😂 I'll say VK definitely doesn't have Amanda Setton modesty hang ups and I appreciate VK/Ciara trying to look sexy every time she appears on screen even while 9 months pregnant! VK has never met a pleather short skirt she didn't like!

I've always thought the show should have given Tony children. Someone like Chad would have been ideal as Tony or Andre's child. I also think the show would have been better served bringing someone like Peter and perhaps his children back instead of adding kids like Stefan and Jake.

If you read the Days thread you know I am obsessed with Victoria's ability to show off her cleavage on every occasion including funerals and her father's death bed lol. If VK joins GH I will look forward to making fun of her inappropriate styling. It will be especially hilarious to watch her distract Mo from his lines more than usual because her boobs are hanging out 😂 I still think she'd be an awful fit for Sasha and GH in general, but what do I know?

Absolutely. It's a lot of treading water with Jason, Sonny, Carly hoping something sticks or Frank will just figure it out later. I guess Jason has Britt now, but Carly and Sonny are basically on pause in their personal lives until they reunite or, idk, Sonny gets back with Nina and they recast Jax or something.

And every time that mold of character has fizzled out while completely losing their dignity, so I guess it's nice Rota's wife is getting paid and getting health insurance out of it. Mo is not gonna make any effort on this random D-character plotline. It's at least three steps down from Eva La Rue's homophobic Natalia and we saw the effort there. I think in general the idea Frank has going for the show is decent, but the favoritism is wild and he can't get out of his own head to see the bigger goal in the long run.

It's funny some people here think that Sidwell's real life wife is an actual important character that is some sort of Brenda replacement. Frank doesn't care about the real Brenda. This isn't Guza lol. Just because a pretty brunette has scenes with Sonny doesn't make her a Brendabot. The two have nothing in common at all and frankly don't even look alike. This was obviously a nice gesture to Rota to give his wife a job too.

I feel like John got multiple monologues in about how creepy it was to be fair-and even Marlena and Roman were like that's really weird too. I clearly remember the rhetoric about Tony being blinded in the Maison Blanche fire and Kristen saying now she has to marry him and Wayne's Roman, was like, but why? And gave her a full side eye. RIP Wayne!

Stefano had raised her. So John's tale about Stefano fell on deaf ears to Kristen because she only knew Stefano as a good person. John learned Kristen was Stefano's adopted daughter a few months in I think. They had some sexy times and John was distraught after learning this, but then Kristen was like I am engaged to Tony, FYI, LOL. Her introduction was weird tbh, because the show was heavily leaning towards John/Marlena and pivoted quickly to Kristen/John. I believe someone and NBC wanted Drake with a younger love interest. And obviously when JER fully took over he was all in on John/Marlena.

Correct. Because the Possession was always built as a love story for Marlena/John. The throughline that John would do anything for Marlena was the basis of the story. Yes, it was silly, but it was also romantic and heroic as John would risk his entire life for her.

I see your point, but if Gh really, really wants VK just make her a new character. I still think this rumor is off the rails and VK's acting and vibe aren't a fit for GH in any capacity.

Now? Yes. As kids? No. I think by the time the Rachel backstory came out those two were too far gone to care about the origin story. This is actually a time where the re-Possession would make sense on paper, but I am so over that. Play it real. Marlena just lost John-her true love. We don't need supernatural, extra things.

I think JER used Marlena's affair with John and break up with Roman as another reason the Devil was able to control her because she was a "broken" woman at that point. You know, JER stuff. And, yes, Stefano entered her penthouse through her armoire lol. He bought the Penthouse next door. Which makes no sense since a penthouse implies it's the only house on the floor, but whatever. The Paris underground stuff had the VR glasses where John and people could see Marlena in a cage, but no mind control was going on. Stefano would manipulate Marlena by letting her hear recordings of Belle crying, telling her John was dead with fake newspapers, and that no one was looking for her so he could sleep with her. He told her he would let her go if she had sex with him willingly. IIRC, the OG Rachel/Women in white story was that Rachel and her husband knew Stefano's secrets (re-John) and Stefano was obsessed with Rachel's beauty. Stefano blew up her husband's house/car leaving Rachel horribly disfigured and mentally distressed and her husband dead so Stefano took Peter/Kristen in as his children. I believe they both thought Rachel was dead. Her main story was during Aremid when she secured Tony's diary to free John. I know there were plans for an Aremid spin off at one point, so the character may have had more use, but by the time she died in Paris Rachel basically completed her tragic arc.

Brennan is a throw away character to me, so I don't really care they made the change. And I know recasts can be wacky and still work okay. VK just seems so far off from Sasha in every aspect. She's just way to in your face sexy to be the Q cook lol. I am not a big VK fan, but she's definitely the type of actress that commands your attention and Sasha is so meek as a character. If the show really wanted Victoria they perhaps should have looked at her as a Molly recast. I don't think she'd be exactly right for that part either, but Molly is more pliable as role.

I think Willow will marry him too. She's not wrong about it being the best chance to get her kids back to be honest.

Yes, 2010 Mo was bad and searching for lines still, but miles better than what's happening now. Plus, even with VM's "unique" 2010 acting choices like the cackle, she still worked well with him. And honestly, I know Kelly T. is Steve's savior these days, but Vanessa and Steve work well together too. I also think Mo would be okay taking a backseat to Vanessa. He seems to really like her and respect her as an actress and Brenda as a character. I think he'd be comfortable letting her take the lead in story. I wonder how many viewers left would even care about Sonny/Brenda. There used to be so many messageboards, fansites, and groups dedicated to them that have mostly disbanded because it's been so long. Most fans have moved on-except me lol.
