Your ideas for Chase are good. I just wonder if Josh Swickard is talented enough to pull it off. He's handsome and mildly charming, but he's been on the show for years and hasn't made an impact. He'd have a great career in Hallmark movies, but I don't think he's made for a long term soap hero. Also, unrelated, but how is Jason allowed to wear a black t-shirt in court? Lol. Even PC courts probably have a dress code. Sonny killing Natalia would honestly be the best thing he's done in years lol. I kid. I actually don't think the show would have Sonny kill a (mostly) innocent woman.

The show can definitely not afford the original Penthouse. They can't even afford the awesome staircase. I know John died and all, but I really wish Brady would get a bit more on the Tate/Sophia adoption situation. It appears those two are just vibe wishing an adoptive family to show up?

Finally buy a set for Brady so he doesn't have to live with his mom? Geez, is Sophia/Tate's kid going to move in next?

Rocco is an awful name that we don't call out enough. I do know a Rocco in real life so the name exists. Daisy is whatever and kind of cute. It's like a sister name to Violet so I have trauma lol. I just wish Michael would be more intentional with his kid's names. They feel like someone picked them out of a hat with no reason behind it.

I'd keep Rory's Michael. Everyone else can leave. I still can't get over the name Daisy.

I don't know why the show continues to just keep the Nina/Drew secret. It's not even brought up in conversation anymore.

Lol. Kristian just decided to change, but Missy got stuck in her suit all show and Julie had to wear that heavy costume jewelry all day.

Donna, Kristian Alfonso didn't literally change clothes on camera. She was in a scene with her dress, Jen went to get ice cream, and by the time the scene picked back up Hope was in jeans and a t-shirt. Jen and Julie were in the same clothes, but I guess Hope decided to change during the commercial break or something.

I appreciate the John tributes and think Drake deserves it all, but it is wearing me out as a viewer. I liked all the flashbacks. Also, I enjoyed Hope doing an entire outfit change in the midst of eating ice cream. That dress was ugly so I am glad she changed. It was just very random lol.

I'd dump Chase too, but I would also have done a lot more with JJ as Lucky so the show and I have different plans lol. I get the idea of Brook Lynn and Chase being a stable, cornerstone couple of the show, but they are so boring. I assume Kelly "kill off Britt, I am gone for good" Thiebaud is back for Steve. I wonder if they will try her with Cody again though. I am with @Vee and do think Josh Kelly/Cody have promise. I have been saying that for years though and he's still wandering around canvas not doing much.

It's sad because Lucky/Liz were an amazing young couple, but they were very much a moment in time unlike some other soap love stories. Liz grew up and moved on and had growth in her life. BH/JJ still have fantastic chemistry but it just not workable anymore as a coupling. My teenage heart cries although I find it very realistic.

I will back you up and I remember people actually wanted Isabella/John and Wayne's Roman/Marlena together. JER and even the writers before him in 1991 were setting up the seeds for Marlena/John, but it's interesting to think about. I think Isabella would have ended up like Kristen resorting to schemes and lies to keep John, so it's probably better she died.

Isabella is better in rewatch. She was needy and annoying in all the clips she appeared in to me. As time went on I realized she was a good partner for John in the moment. LOL. Chanel/Raven did look bored.

Oh, Jack would make a lot more sense lol!! I felt the cancer story moved so quickly. I know it's because Staci Greason couldn't work out a deal with Days, but it felt fast. And, yeah, it hits different now.

Isabella and John never had a platonic friendship. John and Marlena probably had a more "platonic" friendship in the 90's lol. John and Isabella were literally married when she got sick. They weren't buddies. She had just given birth to his child.

I actually did like Isabella's friendship with Jack/Jen. I feel like a lot of material was forced on Isabella like Victor being her dad, Bo being her brother, the crazy sister, the insta John love affair-none of it was natural to me. I HATED Izzy B back in the day, but in a rewatch situation she's okay. Very pushy with RoJohn about the baby and making a choice between her and Marlena though. Give the man 10 minutes lol. And we obviously have reached an impasse re Marlena. Loved her from the first second I saw her lol. I don't ever find Marlena dull, but I can see how people could find her cold. That's just Deidre Hall I think.

Lol. I don't even really have a reason to hate Isabella-I just do. She was objectively a very nice character with frizzy hair. I just don't get the love for her. To me she was such a short blip on the John timeline and no one would remember her if she didn't die tragically.

I don't want to speak ill of the fictional dead, but Isabella was an idiot lol

@AbcNbc247 and I have always loved us some Paul Naurita/Christopher Sean lol. He's John's best child by a mile if we don't count Carrie. I have always thought CS shared a lot of Drake's mannerisms and looks like John/Drake, or what I assume a half-Asian child of John's would look like lol. While Belle looks and acts more like Marlena/Deidre, Paul has always been the closest to being like John. Brady is a shame to his parents so he favors no one.

Oh, I have very little doubt that Missy feels some way personally and privately. Donna was just saying she actively spoke out against Days in public in reference to the gay storylines, which she did not. I don't have super strong feeling about Jen one way or another. She was always a side character to me. I still think Missy is Jen regardless of her stupid beliefs.

I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content". In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all. There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen. Cady tried and it didn't work for me. Whenever Missy steps into the role it works. It's a two things can be true situation. Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
