But again, Cassie really didn't do anything. Rex at least had the fairly interesting Mimi pairing.

Yes, Sami was pretending to date Tony or something? I remember that but I have no idea why. I liked Cassie and I liked the actress. It doesn't look like Alexis Thorpe acts anymore though. I do think Cassie just got shoved aside, but she was another character who was related to pretty much her entire peer set so she had no love interest. But didn't her and Jack have a thing or a moment? Cassie and Greta are similar to me. They drove a ton of story for a hot minute, never to be spoken of again. We still don't know who Greta's father is lol

The Gemini twins stuff. Now it's coming back to me. Again, it's been so long, but there had to be regime/writing changes during that because that story started one way and ended in a completely different way. Why would Stefano even do that lol? You would think he would have spent those five years brainwashing Marlena to become his mistress or something. Or Marlena was pregnant by John in 1986 and Stefano raised that child to be evil, but no. Marlena just carried Kate/Roman's kids while in a coma lol. If Rex didn't come back recently, I would have just assumed those kids were retconned out of existence. Am I crazy or were they vaguely teasing Tony/Marlena as a couple then just dropped it at the time too? No wonder I look back at Aremid so fondly. That was Shakespeare compared to the early 2000's. So many teen stories. So much of Kyle Lowder and Nadja Bjorlin singing the Sound of Music.

That was on Jarlena's honeymoon. Brady and Belle were aged after the wedding. Brady maybe a year after Belle. I think during this period of time John was lying about being JT's (presumed) dad or maybe just Marlena knew and things were tense. Honestly, after the Brady stuff was resolved I can't remember what John or Marlena did until the Salem Serial Killer stuff. I think most of it was the Zack/JT stuff and Bo being retconned into the father and the baby switch. Idk, it's been so long and that era is pretty hard to find on you tube.

There was never, ever any indication on screen that Brady wasn't treated well by Marlena. He called her mom as a kid. Most of the time he was living with Marlena even when her and John weren't together. I could understand if Brady had any memories of Isabella or Isabella and Marlena didn't get along, but Marlena was literally the only mother Brady ever knew (except for the time Kristen told Brady she was his new mommy and now they have a kid together lol) Although Marlena thinking Brady was evil and pleading to Roman about what a danger he was to Belle was obnoxious. I still chuckle when I think about a man who dressed up as Gay Zorro being a danger to society and Marlena was convinced her idiot daughter was tied to the train tracks by Brady like he was Wile E. Coyote or something lol. I think there was an interview back then where John was supposed to hit Marlena in mercenary mode. Great Idea show! I think Drake actually stepped in and refused, which I appreciate because that would not have gone over well. I don't even remember the resolution of the Mercenary stuff. Did he just stop having flashbacks lol?

I don't understand why Brady was so aggro and also just weird. Marlena raised you or at least she took you along with her golden child Belle. You had a nanny Brady. Shut up. Wasn't Roman in this scene too? And then Belle got caught on the train tracks? And Marlena was convinced Brady pushed her lol.? And then the entire fiasco was just resolved with Marlena finding a grey hulk toy Brady once lost? So stupid. Me typing that out was painful. Ugh I forgot how obnoxious the entire family was at the time. I wanted to punch them all in the face. For anyone asking that my have been the nadir in my Days watching lol

Tony/Andre's plan is so good. If he didn't write it down he would have gotten away with everything. The gun hidden in the book that shoots lol. Too much!! It's so perfect JER camp. I actually thought Peter thinking John was guilty made sense. Peter was still pretty good back then and he just got caught in a weird situation, where he liked John fine, but had to prosecute him. The only person who truly believed John was innocent was Marlena, which of course. I don't even remember Carrie or Sami caring much at all about the Aremid stuff either lol. To answer your question, I don't think the show ran dry, but all the stories ended basically at the same time. And Days invested so much in the Eileen Davidson show, but they ended up wasting her the last six months. I think the show could have done something different with Jarlena. The show weirdly invested in John/Hope as a thing which I think was the bigger mistake. Bo/Hope/Billie was not good either and Jack/Jen was killed by the recasts. Carrie/Austin/Sami/Mike was the only thing I remember really working. I also think Stefano went from a menacing villian to a caricature at this time. As far as SORASing Belle, Phillip, Brady-I think it was a huge mistake. Belle, Sami, Eric, and Brady should just not be the same age. They should be closer to Will's age. And now Belle has an adult child. Shawn D is hard to say because he wasn't really aged much. Maybe a year or two. I think Belle/Brady should be Abby and Will's contemporaries and they could have built a teen scene around Shawn D with Mimis and Jans and maybe aged Stephanie, Theresa ,or Andrew earlier or one of Adrienne and Justin's kids. I actually don't love the Shelle pairing because it closes the door on John being Roman. And to me that's actually the endgame situation. Yes I know Tate does too but he barely exists. It doesn't matter in the scheme of things now, but I seriously thought John would eventually end up as Roman after Wayne left. Yup. Belle/Brady went from like 5 to obnoxious overnight. My hatred for Belle is well known and Brady is whatever. Phillip is just a bit of a non entity so I don't have a huge opinion on that. I just think the show had a wealth of 80's babies to choose from and didn't, but then they age EJ and my head explodes so I guess it's not the worst.

I dont think Roman in theory was a bad idea. Josh Taylor was lol. I think WN still could have brought something to the table but Jarlena were so endgame at that point it was a "why bother?" situation. and Eileen was clearly bored just waiting for her contract to expire. On the flip side the carrie/sami/Austin stuff finally climaxed. The jungle stuff with john/ hope was just bad

Aremid is my favorite JER arc. It's not as wacky as the Possession or Paris, but everyone's story moves. And I personally think Tony/Andre's plan is low key brilliant. The John/Marlena/Kristen stuff finally kicks into high gear as does Bo/Hope and Peter/Jennifer were in their prime hotness (make of that what you will lol). There is a lot of good Stefano stuff as well with him faking his amnesia leading to his obsession with Marlena. I love the whole atmosphere of the town and I even like the quirky Aremid town folk. I love when Marlena is trying to seduce Stefano to free John while he's writing that love letter to her and everyone is trying to exonerate John before it's too late. And let's be real, Kristen was super lame before she becomes evil so it's win win. I would say Maison Blanche and Aremid are my two favorite arcs of that period. But it all seamlessly flows Maison Blanche, to the Possession, to Aremid, to Paris, on to the Secret Room. That entire time period was really good and it basically comes to a screeching halt once they recast Roman, but there was a solid 4 years of decent storytelling before that.

I would just assume it wasn't worth Freddie's time lol. Take that for what you will, but it was probably only a handful of scenes and he said no. Maybe his other ventures are lucrative and he didn't want to waste his own time. I have to believe he was at least asked because why wouldn't they? We may dislike Sonny, but there has never been an indication the show didn't like FS/Sonny.

The true named alternates were sent home, but the two individually named athletes (Jade Carey, Mykayla Skinner) were still in Tokyo. It seems an athlete could be replaced after QF if there was a positive covid test or something happened by an individual athlete, not alternate, but since Simone started the competition and pulled out after the first event no one could replace her. I am not disparaging Simone for that, just trying to clarify because I am a pretty big gymnastics fan. Anyhow, that's how Jade replaced Simone in the AA (she was the 3rd US qualifier) and Mykayla will replace Simone in the vault finals if Simone withdraws. If Simone withdraws from bars, beam, and floor event finals the next athlete in line will replace because no one in the US is eligible.

For me, it would be more about the exposure and being able to make a few podcasts about it or get some interviews. It would be worth it to me just for that, but I am not FS and maybe he is actually trying to distance himself from it all. Idk, maybe his wife does really well in real estate lol. Lol. He still always gets asked back. But I can see why he doesn't book much other work.

I just think FS has enough friends on Days he probably got wind of it before it was announced and doubled down on his happiness with his departure. Whatever works for you, Freddie.

Yeah, I have a hard time believing KA will never be back too, but I don't have a hard time believing she financially doesn't have to return ever and is set for life. With this news of the Days Peacock spin off my wonder is if FS didn't get asked back and it was a pre-emptive strike releasing that podcast and Sonny has already been recast. Because how many friends does Chad have in Phoenix lol?

I would think his views are directly correlated to when he talks about Days? You would think he would want to be back on Days to help promote that channel unless he spends all day filming those videos, which given their length, it's possible. I mean, this is the first time we have talked about Freddie in months so it worked I guess lol. At least he could do a zoom interview with some of the Days cast or something. Honestly, I think they are trying to sell themselves as a brand and they aren't entertaining.

Lol! I just find it funny he was fine to do a brief return not long ago. I am not sure why anyone would turn down gig like Days when they don't appear to be working otherwise except for a podcast. He may have money. I could be wrong, but it's a little fake. But I find their entire you tube persona with the two of them very fake, especially her on the few episodes I have seen. They don't have that many subscribers or views so I think they make money, but not enough to survive or support themselves on that alone, but I have only seen a few videos. Unless they have product endorsements they hawk too. I don't follow them well enough to know. Whatever best of luck to them!

Lol! First off I said I don't care if they kill Freddie off and I meant Sonny. I don't wish bodily harm to Freddie Smith. I may or may not edit it lol. The show doesn't have to kill off Sonny. I don't mind him or FS honestly. I just think it might be easier for Will to move on without the specter of Sonny showing up at any moment and I feel like the show, regardless of regime, is too afraid to take Sonny/Will too far from one another. I just don't believe "I will never come back!" from a young guy like him with a wife to support. They may have a ton of other things going on but I can't imagine their you tube channel makes a ton of money, but what do I know? FS was let go. Fired. To me, it sounds like someone who is saying it's so awesome he got fired because he's found so many better things to do, but would totally be on board if Days called lol.

Dan as EJ is starting to work for me too. I think once we get away from Ejami as the great romance it will help. I think if the character overall goes into a darker direction it will work too and reconcile what I think EJ should actually be. I love Horita too!!! Bring back Paul. I wouldn't care if they killed Freddie off. It might be better to recast. Although, I do think Freddie says he won't come back he strikes me as someone who would be willing if the youtube money runs out and I am not sure how much money he is making on that.

Has anyone heard anything about TC lately? Since that arrest? I hope he is doing better. I heard his wife was very well off so he doesn't need to work, but I hope he is getting help.

Julie said he was the best in the league. lol. But we physically see Doug, and bless his heart, Bill Hayes does not look like he's playing racquet ball anymore unless he's playing with Victor. And that's just bad karma to talk about.

Doug tore his rotator cuff playing racquet ball and Julie had to go to the ER with him. I was watching the big Kristen reveal in 1997 and I loved how the entire town just stayed in the DiMera living room listening to it all when they clearly probably should have left John, Marlena, and Kristen alone. But it was good drama. This was 6 people in a room. If you are going to do something like this, even if it's not the best, go big or go home on it. You have a Carver/Dimera and a Brady/Horton. Everyone could have been involved. I would do that over randomly casting "names" to play parts that aren't necessary.

I think this whole cliffhanger would have worked better if everyone was at the wedding. Like the entire town and it seemed important. The only cast members I can think of who would have zero reason to be there would be Gwen/Xander and Paulina/Chanel. Everyone else is related to Ciara or dating someone important to Ciara or related to Theo. Even the Nicole/EJ/Sami stuff could have taken place and then they all end up at the wedding like JER used to do in the 90's. Other stories took place, but they all took place at the same event. Even if you hate Cin a bunch of other stories would be simmering at the wedding and it wouldn't be so bad. Alas, I know budget interferes but 4 people at the wedding was lame. The other problem is the stakes aren't high. If Ciara was marrying someone random or a villian it would make more sense for Ben to kidnap her. At this point does it matter if she marries Theo? Ciara has previously been married, presumably is already sleeping with Theo, and he's not going to do anything to harm her. So if Ciara gets her memory back they could just divorce lol? Ben is just being a creeper and trying to accelerate her memory coming back.

Yeah, I think it just changed with different writing regimes, but he did awful things to people. Multiple people in town. Everything about EJ has always been a clusterf*ck right down to his SORAS ing. I think it was mostly saved due to James Scott's charisma. It's looks like Ron is turning nu EJ into a full on bad guy, so maybe that will work better. I am not too worried about EJami. They don't have much chemistry and it looks like this going to go into a Lumi as soulmates thing now. Will would actually be useful right now. He can be involved in this drama and help Allie with her sexuality. He can leave Sonny in Arizona.

Things Luann have said and done lead my to believe she at the very least has a very troubled relationship with alcohol. I think she is someone who can control it in most situations, but it seems like when she goes she goes really hard. To me that's just another definition of an alcoholic just not the "drunk all day" type. But I don't know her and it's not my business. I do agree I don't think Luann will stay sober. I feel like she is bowing to public perception of her having a drinking problem and being sober as a storyline. I am of half the mind she switching out her fake rose for real rose but then she'd be more fun. She just looks anxious and annoyed anytime anyone drinks and it just throws off the usual dynamic. I like Luann though I would keep her before Ramona. I just think Eboni is a bad fit with these women. She might work better on a different show, but not this current one. Perhaps she would work better with Bethenny and Dorinda. I can take or leave Leah. She doesn't bother me as much as most, but she's annoying. Lol about Jill, but I always wanted to Jill/Bethenny to make up. You know Andy, if it gets ratings he doesn't care. He seems over it.
