Both Carrie and Belle are odd choices as lawyers, but I buy both of them now. Carrie never seemed terribly interested in studies or school and I don't think she went to college for long, so it's a weird career turn around. I thought she was as believable as Billie, Kate, Sami, Austin, etc at Titan in the 90's doing whatever they did. Belle at least was portrayed as super smart and studious until she got married at like 20 and then bemoaned how her and Shawn had no money despite both rich parents and the fact she made no effort to get a job lol, but I could see her and Shawn pulling their lives together off screen. Much more believable than Austin Reed: super accountant/teacher.

I agree about the "famous" storylines. I don't like supermodel stories or singing stories much. You are subjected to lots of iffy singing or a suspension of disbelief that all the towns need models to promote their singular cosmetic line forever lol. Outside of B&B, which is in LA and is about fashion, it rarely makes sense. I prefer doctor/cop/lawyer to working at the family business on Days though. Has there ever been a good business story on Days? Maybe some Vivian/Kate/Titan stuff in the 90's, but I can't think of anything else in recent memory. Bakery hasn't been done before so that's different, but I feel like it will be in the same vain as opening coffee shops on soaps just without the set lol.

A boutique seems more like Chanel's vibe, but maybe it would be too similar to Gabi Chic? I am glad Chanel, Allie, and Tripp have goals, unlike Claire/Ciara who seem aimless. I don't think ID sings, but when is the last time Claire mentioned her singing career? Allie seems like someone who would be very good at counseling. I could see her easily transitioning into that role. Honestly even someone like Claire could become interested in mental help because of her previous mental health issues (ala Kim), although she seem less suited for that, but it would give her something to do besides follow Ben around.

It's is weird Marlena treats family members (including her husband) and close friends. It's always been like that though. Laura and Kim used to treat people even though I can't recall what Kim was (social worker or licensed therapist). The only other psychiatrists on this show I remember were bad guys. But this show has never been great with the accuracy of the medical field or any field of work really lol. Honestly, instead of making both Carrie and Belle lawyers, I may have made one of them a shrink. It's actually weird none of Marlena's kids or grandkids ever showed any interest in medicine. It would be interesting if Allie decided to get into social work or psychology after her trauma instead of starting a bakery when she doesn't bake.

I liked her too and thought she did well with her screen partners in general. Sometimes she just would act so cutesy, but I think this is/was her first tv job so she had time to improve. She definitely had enough it factor to keep around for awhile, but I guess that's the gamble Days took when they knew she had something else booked that was just pushed back.

I have no idea what is going on and don't care about either of them, but nothing is more petty than tweeting about someone coyly then identifying them less than an hour later. Just say who it is or don't. Is there even a point lost in all the unnecessary name-calling? I loved JR and his TV guide stuff. Whatever happened to him?

I mean it really shouldn't matter who Ben killed or when Rafe knew Paige was his sister-the fact he killed more than one person is probably reason enough for Rafe, the police commissioner, to stay away from deep chats with Ben. But Rafe is dating Ava and talking about how he tried to force Ciara to eat peas-when Ciara was a teenager on screen when Hope/Rafe were together. So, in conclusion, Rafe is just an overall idiot.

I know Luis Alcazar was referred to as an international arms dealer and Sonny was in a tizzy about guns on the streets of Port Charles back then. He probably does force everyone to sell his coffee though. I think he makes a lot of money off his casinos as well and the bulk of his money and power came from inheriting Lily/Lily's father's money and empire.

Sonny/Jason import/export illegally and money launder through their legitimate businesses. Sonny/Jason's rivals are generally the drug smugglers or arms dealers. It will probably never be clear what it is, but it is clear what it isn't (arms/weapons, drugs). I personally hope it's imposter handbags lol.

Kate is ridiculously bad at playing a blind person. She's basically made a dumb screw up with every person she's interacted with. Why are we wasting Tony and Anna on Kate scenes? Are these Andre mentions an anvil or something though? Also, it's clear EJ knows what's going on with Sami/Lucas. But what I don't get is why John/Marlena wouldn't tell Roman about the Lumi stuff. He's her father and was concerned. It's weird they didn't just tell Roman their concerns or what Marlena saw.

I thought Paulina was just going to re-name it, but now it almost sounds like she's going to shut everything down and make it like one big box store or something lol. I am not sure anyone including the writers even know at this point. Salem might just only have a Target to sit in front of after Paulina is done lol

Yeah, that sounds right. What was Miguel doing all that time? L&B wasn't a thing nor were Sonny/Brenda really in early 1994. I don't want to slog through you tube or my edits, but Lily didn't become a backstory for awhile after that. Karen and Jagger aren't long for the show either at this point.

Obviously that's where it's going. And honestly, Adrienne was always kinda a wet noodle. JE cried a lot in all her runs as Adrienne. I have never liked her at all. You know, it just doesn't seem like a Justin thing to do to fall for a doppelgänger. He seems like a more grounded character than that. I could see John trying to fall for Hattie if Marlena died or something. Even Xander or Ben or Brady because they can all be obsessive, but Justin? Not so much. I know it's been a difficult time for JE and I am glad she has a job, but neither Bonnie nor Adrienne is needed. Justin isn't even on enough for a romance to be explored and if they are dead set on this can they cast at least one of their many children to side eye the romance? Preferably one of the adopted twins who are not related to Claire please?

Well if she ever comes back that's probably her strongest option on a living situation. She can't live with Jason anymore and can't go to the MetroCourt and I am sure Monica and Ned would be cool with her living there again. I would prefer Brenda got the gatehouse, but I guess that's Willows for now. Because why not? I wonder if it still has a recording studio in there. On a current GH note, with KS's health problems, do we have a timeline on how long she is out? I obviously wish her the best and feel terrible for her, but she's kinda in the middle of something big here. The poor girl has obviously been through a lot with all the health issues she has had through the years but I wonder how they are going to address it. I think Jen Lilley is available lol

Thanks! I guess I remember Miguel's entrance right. He really didn't do much of anything besides pour drinks and sing, so I get what SOD is saying. His romances with Lily and Brenda just sort of ended fairly amicably. He never got a reaction to Lily's death because he was gone. The show never even pulled the trigger on him being a viable spoiler in the Sonny/Brenda/Lily stuff. He was just a nice guy Brenda had sex with on the rebound lol. I am surprised they never got Ricky Martin back for a Nurse's Ball. Juan actually had potential to be something. He could have come back wanting revenge on Sonny for Lily's death but he thought Sonny was his father instead? You were like 7 when they got married and actually met Lily and Miguel in Puerto Rico as a child. He was boring with Emily and boringly sang a lot too, but I think the idea of the character had potential. I tend to think if MS wasn't married to Becky they may have recast at some point later on. Sabrina is just one of those characters that I mentioned yesterday that were on everyday for a few years and are never mentioned again. Usually female and usually killed off violently. In a few years, hopefully, we will forget Willow existed as well.

I want to say his entrance was saving someone on the roof of GH or it was finding BJ after the bus crash. Both happened I think, but I am not sure what was first. He was an orderly at the hospital but then became a bartender/singer. A LOT of his time on the show was spent on Lily and the baby she gave up. The show was clearly aiming for that to be a big love story, but I guess it wasn't popular. It's hard to say though because Lily/Sonny/Brenda/Miguel were always weird with each other. Miguel and Brenda only dated for a little bit-maybe 3 months? And Miguel left to go on a South American tour after Sonny literally threatens to cut him up with a broken bottle (not important to the story, but a hilarious scene). Ricky Martin reappears briefly around the time of Sonny/Lily's wedding. Brenda calls him to help bust it up, but he basically tells her she is being insane and leaves again. He actually physically comes to town to tell her she's being nuts, but I don't think he interacts with anyone else besides Vanessa. I believe Wendy let RM out of his contract early so he could do Les Mis on Broadway and he agreed to appear one last time. I think they mentioned Miguel last year when Brooklyn was dealing with her agent or whatever. They said he was a client. And his son's contribution to the show was bringing us Sabrina lol.

I think Ricky Martin made it despite his GH run lol. I don't remember him or him/Lily or Brenda being popular at all. His default acting was tossing his hair around. I think GH was his first English speaking role, so I'll cut him some slack. Anyhow, AMC was introducing the Santos at the same time. And by 1996 Sonny was the only Latino character left, since Brenda isn't supposed to be Hispanic even though Vanessa is. Even Sonny's dad was white lol. With Julia, Mateo, Maria, Anita, etc I think AMC had the larger core group of the two. OLTL had the Vega brothers as well.

Brenda and Sonny to me were clearly the last supercouple. Not only for GH, but probably the last period. They got the writing, the romance, the obstacles, and everything. On GH it's Luke/Laura, Robert/Holly, Anna/Duke, Frisco/Felicia, and Sonny/Brenda to me. Robin/Stone, Ned/Lois, Lucky/Liz, Sean/Tiffany, Jax/Brenda and Sonny/Carly were close but not quite. And Puerto Rico let you know Sonny and Brenda gave zero effs about sand in uncomfortable places lol. I think their last great writing was probably Amazing Grace in 2002, but the idea of them in 2010 wasn't bad. The execution just was. Puerto Rico was AMAZING!! The cast spent a lot of time walking around the hotel and watching Ricky Martin sing, but it was beautiful. Honestly, I would never believe anyone if they told me Ricky Martin would become an international superstar in 1995 lol . Thank God their careers recovered from whatever this was:

Well...Frank... And I LOVE all of that. Brenda and her connections...she could come back and it just naturally writes itself. And I know if GH was cancelled tomorrow, that would be the first (or one of the first) questions that hit my mind. Either Sonny running off with Brenda or getting one last arc with her. I would assume (and not even in a fangirl/stan way) that Brenda and Sonny would always be the endgame situation. It just seems like the obvious ending for Sonny. And I don't really care much about actor's wants but I totally see this as the hill MB and VM would die on to make it happen. And outside of all the relationship Brenda stuff, I would love to see Ned/Brenda and Lucy/Brenda interact. I loved both those friendships. Not to mention her and Brooklyn

Idk what Vanessa did but Frank seems to really not be about her lol. It would make sense on so many levels. She could work at Deception, mentor Sasha, hang out with Lucy, see Ned, argue with Carly, be awkward with Michael and Dante, bother Jason, her son could be Josslyn's peer, etc. She really doesn't even need Sonny or Jax, but I think it makes the most sense to put her with Sonny. It would be a good arc for Sonny to come back, realize he wants to change his life, and get back with Brenda. It would free Carly up too. I always thought it would have made a lot of sense for her and Sonny to re-connect when Mike was dying. Especially since Mike seem so pro-Brenda at the beginning of his disease. It seems silly for the show to waste so much time on Smike/Nina/Carson when we all know the minute GH gets cancelled there is 99.9% chance Sonny and Brenda will re-unite. Much like Courtney, Kate/Connie is anyone gonna to care about Nina in 5 years?

I am not going to lie when I re-watch Paris, I am like is it so bad Marlena? Your wardrobe and hair are AMAZING and your golden cage is bigger than my dining room lol! I loved the ball in Paris where Kristen just straight ignores her lol. I love John at a freaking guillotine. It's the difference between soaps then and now. JER knew this was dumb but knew we knew. Now things are dumb and they hope we don't notice. On a different note, I was thought Rachel/the Lady in White was one of the most annoying characters in history. All she did was moan and wail!!

See, I get people hating Brenda/Vanessa Marcil. I get RH and ME have some pretty intense stans. What I do not get is people running a business choosing to hire these people over and over. It's downright disrespectful to the audience. I didn't forget TB played Carly. I didn't forget RH played a different character a month or two ago. It's not just a twin. The audience is not stupid. Again, I have no idea if VM just decided to peace out. It does seem clear she is willing to come back. She was a beloved character we saw basically grow up. She has actual historical ties to characters that lead that we have seen over 30 years now. MB is on board. Idk, it seems like a no brainer to go and re-hire her because at least she has some sort of credible track record of popularity. And we have spent years on Sonny being the lead- it's bizarre the show just basically ignores a huge player in his history so Jax/Sonny can hang out with Nina? OKay. Instead of just being ride or die with Howarth and his 3rd character? GH is so weird because other shows cling to their vets, but GH just wants newbies all the time.

It's weird because the minute RH announced himself as Franco I knew it was a massive mistake. How did no one else working at GH not see that? I don't think I have too many moments like that in soap watching where I just know it's going to be tragic from the word go, but that I clearly remember. Michael Easton shouldn't be employed but none of his characters have outrighted offended me like Franco and his brain tumor. It needs to happen! Amazing idea!

It's always something I thought should have happened in the 90's when Q stories were flourishing. I remember a lot of fans wondering what happened to Jimmy Lee and if he had children. So naturally it will happen with Roger Howarth because GH won't let us have nice things. It's certainly a much better idea than RH as Franco though, which makes you think what might have been if someone actually took the time to think about this first.
