Probably. She's turned into a really pretty young woman. She's the missing piece to a love triangle. Remember all that time they devoted to Emma/Spencer/Cameron? Lol Dark times... I still don't see the big deal about NB being recast by some people. Worst case scenario, this guy is a dud. They can wait some time and bring him back like they did with Christie Clark on Days or Lexi as Kristina. Lexi still looks like a teenager and she's 28 and married lol. I find GH to be really good right now. Miles better than Days and I usually find Days a much easier, quicker watch than GH. I think after years of the same old same old different things are finally happening that are unexpected.

He was cute in the beginning and I liked him, but he got tired real fast. Plus, they probably needed a slightly hunkier actor. I mean, they can always bring NB back if it doesn't work out. We need Emma now. I know BRS is still young, but she looks fairly mature on insta lol. I think she could fit in with the group.

Agreed. He's what 3 or 4 years older? It's not like he's 35. He's fine. I also think Joss, Cam, and Trina don't look particularly young in the way Kmc and JJ did. But the old Spencer did seriously annoy me so I am very open to a new actor lol

I always thought Tyler looked way too old especially next to baby JJ. It never threw off the story for me, but he definitely did not look like a teen. But that sort of thing doesn't bother me. Brenda, Jagger, Karen, Jason looked significantly older than Robin, but I was fine with believing they were peers (or that Robin was only a couple of years younger) even though they looked like 25 year olds and she looked 13. Anyhow, I don't think this new Spencer looks too old at all lol. People are crazy! It feels like a lot is happening right now on GH! Like real shifts. JaSam is done for now! Carly/Jason! Britt/Jax! Unfortunately we still have Michael and Willow to bring the show to a screeching halt, but I do like that things are happening.

I have to be honest I was really curious as to what Pricetown would sell? Is it like a Walmart or more classy like a Target? Is it like a Ross/TJ Maxx? Can we imagine Marlena/Julie/Kate hanging out near such establishments? I say this a lot but wardrobe (especially Ciara's) bothers me. VK looks great, but she continues to wear things that are not only seasonally inappropriate but way too sexy and dressy for the occasion of seeing Ben. She looks like she is going to a club. Gabi/CB has the same problem. I get they are young, hot girls, but throw on a dress that is at least appropriate for the situation. Lani, Chanel, and Claire all manage to look trendy and cute without the overt sexiness those two bring. Idk, it's probably silly, but the way Ciara dresses is not how the character is even supposed to be portrayed so it bugs me all the time.

SJB's Carly worked with Sonny, but I just couldn't see her with Jax back then. She was too rough around the edges for Jax. She had a trashiness that just wouldn't work with Jax's character back then. But, yeah, I never thought Carly of all people would be Brenda's #1 rival for Sonny/Jax back then. I was going to say I liked TB and Ingo back then lol. I thought they had decent chemistry. I remember thinking the show was going to go there, but they quickly threw Carly back with Sonny and she ended up stealing money from Jax. I will say I agree that Jax/Carly don't make sense as far as the history of their characters go. Why on earth would Jax want to get involved with another woman so closely tied to Sonny? And why would Carly want to be with Sonny's enemy? Anyway, you're right it worked during that period where it never looked like Carson were getting back together. The show really is lazy with the Carson stuff. They both moved beyond that, but the show was lazy and just put them back together because I guess they couldn't think of anything better lol.

Lol Marlena was all serious about being on duty and then violated HIPPA like 1 minute later. I did enjoy the Jarlena stuff though. I do think it's a little weird for Theo to want to marry Ciara already. But it's probably because their entire 'relationship' has been off screen. Ben comes off like a psycho. If I were Marlena I wouldn't advertise him as my patient lol

Funny, I was just watching 1998 and Jax and Brenda did interact with Carly a tiny bit. Jax was in the background more or less. But they did talk at the docks gala. It was more Jason/Brenda focused stuff, but they at least knew one another existed.

Wiki (which obviously take with a grain of salt) says Claire Labine hired her in 1993. So it seems that episode is a real hybrid of Labine/her new staff/playing out Levinson's last stuff. This would probably be one of MVJ's first episodes as a script editor/writer.

It looks like Claire starts in August 1993 so this would be the tail end of Levinson's stuff. Or perhaps a hybrid of both of them. She definitely didn't create Sonny. Labine is the one who finished the Sonny/Karen stuff very quickly and then moved him on to Brenda. Claire basically created that monster that is Sonny though by making him a 'good' guy. I believe he was to be written off post-Karen, but then Claire created Sonny/Brenda, brought on Stone, etc. etc. and it looked like Brenda was initially headed toward an AJ pairing, which I could have been about. I thought VM and SK had pretty good chemistry.

I like the Stockholm stuff in 86 and 87. The entire cast practically gets involved. It does get a little wonky with Marlena dying multiple times, but that's a Deidre Hall scheduling thing. I would agree the 1991/1992 were pretty boring and the Tale of 2 Romans starts awesome and then fizzles out horribly. Marlena/Roman do nothing in 1992 and it's disappointing. But once Marlena gets thrown in a pit things start moving quickly. Lol. Just saying the same thing. Isabella's death and the pit is where it starts to get good again. The jewel thief stuff is awful! And the Tale of 2 Roman's starts so good, but then they end up in Mexico for what seems like an endless period of time. I wonder if Ken or the writers ever look back and think they should have just kept John as Roman because I sort of think they should have.

I have been watching 1986 stuff and man Shane/Kim, Steve/Kayla, and John/Marlena are so hot together. I can see why they hired Drake, Steven, Charles, etc. RoJohn/Marlena literally make no sense but hot damn they are good together. Bo/Hope are a total disconnect for me at this point. I don't like them at all. But I never have so I guess it's all relative. Caroline/Victor are odd too. They have chemistry, but I don't see Victor going for Caroline. It's strange... He seems too sophisticated for her I guess. Anyway on to Stockholm and I am wondering why Britta is so into her brother lol.

In theory that would have been a good story for Brenda/Alec. But I would hope they picked a different actor. I would hate to think Brenda gave birth to someone as lame as Oscar lol I think Tams would have been fine as a Kate recast. I am just not sure it was necessary when Megan Ward was available. I have a hard time picturing her doing all the Connie stuff. But maybe she would have made it a lot less cartoonish and played it realistically. I feel like everything Jason and Carly have done the last 25 years has proven their loyalty. Anyone who did the most minimal background check or even google search would know they are obsessively loyal to one another.

I honestly would say Rafe has bigger issues in life than a love triangle if a bear is talking to him? And in his own voice lol. JER just had characters talking to themselves not inanimate objects lol

Duke the Bear airs more than some of the cast. I have seen him more than Deidre Hall these past two weeks. And now he talks. I am glad GG is a Passions alum or otherwise I would think he would be embarrassed by this material.

I have to believe that was the initial idea in 2017. The way Oscar spoke about his mother like it would effect Joss in one way or another and was so dramatic. And then it ended up being........Kim lol It's absolutely Frank. I think the rumor was he was put off by her diva behavior at the 50th? Or she wants too much money? It's seems like a no brainer to try especially with the actors shenanigans he allows now. It's not like MB is blocking it. He panders to that fanbase practically weekly. And seems to be actual friends with Vanessa. Vanessa herself seems willing. She hasn't been attached to an acting project in a couple of years now. Unless she wants to retire from acting this seems like her best bet. She is one of the few actress on soaps in her age range that could command a good salary and actual buzz. I don't worry about it too much. I doubt we have seen the last of Brenda/Vanessa on GH. They will bring her back when Frank gets fired, as a last ditch attempt to save the show, or when it gets cancelled. As long as Sonny is the lead on this show she continues to stay pretty relevant and easy to plug in on the canvas.

I mean it's just a idea, but Paulina seems more like Roman's type of woman. We've seen him with a few OTT women like Anna and Kate. It's early in their story like someone upthread said, so I'll see how it plays out. JR/Abe hasn't gotten so many mentions in this thread in years. Not since Lexie was alive lol! I find Lani/Eli very boring. I like them and the fact there are stable, but they need a bigger problem than Chanel seeing Eli naked repeatedly.

I just think the TPTB lost interest in both Val and Val/Abe. Much like they lost interest with Kayla/Abe and Kate/Abe. I think it's difficult too because Days already has severe pacing problems and I don't JR has a high amount of guarantees. I think he appears about as much as JT. I actually think part of Val's problem is that her/Kayla fill a similar role at the hospital. You generally don't need both of them treating everyone. I think that's why we hardly ever saw Sarah work as well.

You are allowed to hate Brenda, but you are not allowed to compare her to Carly in such a fashion. That's just cruel🤣 The only reason I don't chuck something at the tv when I see Carly is because I like Laura Wright. Everyone has had 10 years to recover from that Balkan mess. Brenda's fresh again!

They definitely were much more natural together. I think a lot of it is JH though. She plays it so OTT and JR just is more lowkey. Tbh, I don't mind the pairing, but do they really have anything in common besides being the only two black actors of a certain age lol? But then I guess Paulina's only other option would be Roman, which I might not be against?

Yes they teased Abe/Kayla and Abe/Kate. I think I liked Abe/Valerie better too. It's not that I mind an Abe lovestory. It's just I am not sure I need to see the morning after with Paulina lol. Since 99% of Abe's romantic stories have played off screen (outside of Lexie), it's weird for this to be on screen and so sexual. But I am not sure anyone can make that dialogue work. I always picture Abe as fairly straight laced and that's why Lexie cheated on him so much lol. So them talking about lesbian dreams is just weird.......

I *think* the character of Peter could be mentioned, but not in relation to Peter/Jen. Basically, the Peter/Jen/Jack stuff was just wiped out of Jennifer's history. With Kristen also off the show, there wasn't a ton of reasons to mention him. It was just obvious when Jen would recap her history or romantic history and not mention Peter at all. It's really stupid because I would have never noticed it if Jen mentioned Peter a few times in passing. It became more noticeable when she went out of her way to avoid it. Yeah, she can stay gone lol Did anyone else find Abe and Paulina cringeworthy? I appreciate Days trying with the sexual fluidity stuff, but the show is making it awkward and clunky. JR looked embarrassed. It's just a lot to hear about Paulina's sex dreams...But it's better than talking to a teddy bear. Thank God, Eli was a voice of reason. For someone who cooks Italian all day, Ava sure is skinny. TB is just playing Carly lite with Ava this time around. Slightly less weepy than Kim Nero, but without any of her Carly's bite. BORING.... Didn't Ava briefly date RoboJohn? I am pretty sure they were sleeping together. Is not something the show mentions? Have they even shared scenes?

There are a couple of playlists on YT devoted to Brenda's 2002 return. They are just Brenda edits. I don't know if you can get the whole show on YT from that time period, but she basically is the whole show so you aren't missing much. Maybe some JY's Lucky and Liz lol. KM and GV were good together. I liked Lucky and Sam. I am not much of a Liason fan, but what a waste of a pairing that was. So much build up to nothing lol. I think it would have been easy to make Sam crazy, write her off for awhile, and then bring her back if necessary.

She would have been unemployed a few years later lol? GH was definitely the right choice for her for career longevity. KeMo clearly isn't someone looking to challenge her acting lol No arguments here!! I NEVER think Brenda is tired either. She is an icon. 2002-2003 Brenda was genuinely awesome. Problem with KeMo is Sam never really got any characterization. She went from Brenda clone to Jason appendage. She is supposed to be bad ass and ride or die, but she doesn't appear to be either of those things. The show could have gotten rid of Sam a good decade ago and no one would have noticed. It's clear SBu is capable of making other pairings work fairly easily. The show honestly should have had her go full on crazy villainess in 2007 and wrote her off from there.

I am going to have to strongly disagree that Brenda was tired in 2003. She legit revitalized the show at that point. Was she a little too much of a Jason shipper? Yes, but the show gained almost a million viewers that left when she did just solely based on her presence. I am not saying the characterization of Brenda was perfect but she was definitely a moment back then. Kemo was good on PC no doubt, but it hasn't translated. She's too low key to ever be a factor. It's partly the Jason pairing at fault, but she gives minimal effort.
