    LOVE MANSION
    Cass is there looking over papers while Donna sits across from him.
    Donna: I got the papers yesterday.
    Cass: E.L. Industries?
    Donna: Yes. They want to be the principal investor.
    Cass: Looks like they’re fronting most of the money.
    Donna: Yeah I had been thinking about this for a long time.
    Cass: Reopening the Harbor Club?
    Donna: I had to close it down because the economy got so bad, but I think it’s time now.
    Cass: These papers look legit. You should be able to move ahead with the re-opening.

    CORY LIVING ROOM
    Cory, as “Sculptorsson” is on his laptop chatting with someone named “ILLfarmgirl”.
    Cory: Are you planning to visit Bay City?
    ILLfarmgirl: I may come to see my dad.
    Cory: Your dad’s here?
    ILLfarmgirl: Yes.
    Cory: You’re picture’s cute.
    ILLfarmgirl: Yours too. I hope we can get to know each other better.

    Rachel walks into the living room.
    Cory: Hey mom.
    Amanda now walks into the living room.
    Rachel: Have you seen your father?
    Cory: I thought he would be with you.
    Rachel: I woke up and he wasn’t there.

    Iris is on her cell phone in front of the fountain.
    Iris: I’ll be right there.
    Iris hangs up her phone, walks away, and someone wearing a brown hooded monk’s sweatshirt follows her.

    Donna: My God I’m getting so excited about this.
    Cass: You’re gonna help a lot of people.
    Donna: I’ve waited years for this. Business wasn’t what it was in the 90s. That’s why I had to close it down but, I’m gonna re-open it. Finally.
    Cass: I’ll file the papers and I’ll notify you.
    Donna: This should lift Nicole’s spirits, too.
    Cass: It definitely should.
    Donna: So many things that Reginald has done to us, this is definitely a way out from under his thumb.

    Cory: Why would dad leave the house without telling you?
    Amanda: It is odd that Carl that would do that. After all, he’s just returned to his family.
    Rachel: I have no idea why.
    Amanda: Well it wouldn’t be the first time he abandoned his family.
    Rachel: I am not going to have you talk about Carl like that in front of my son!
    Cory: Why not mom? He’s my dad. I should know what he’s capable of.
    Amanda: Carl hasn’t even been back that long and he’s out doing God knows what. What kind of husband is he?
    Rachel: I think it’s time for you to leave.
    Amanda: I think it’s time for you to face who and what Carl really is. He always has an agenda to carry out, and to hell with his family! How can you let him treat you like this?
    Rachel: I know exactly who and what my husband is.
    Amanda: I hope you wake up, before it’s too late.
    Amanda leaves the living room and Rachel turns to Cory.
    Rachel: I’m sorry about that.
    Cory: About what mom?
    Rachel: The things Amanda said about your father.
    Cory: Maybe she’s right.
    Rachel: I beg your pardon?
    Cory: You need to see dad for who he really is, because I’m starting to.

    Iris, holding a glass of wine, opens the door…and Grant walks in. After Grant walks in, the man with the brown hooded sweatshirt watches…
    Iris: What’s going on? You sounded serious on the phone.
    Grant: Our worst nightmare has come true.
    Iris: Oh you’re conceding the election to your own son.
    Grant: This is no time for jokes.
    Iris: Then what is it?
    Grant: Carl Hutchins is back in Bay City.
    Iris (dropping her glass): What do you mean back in Bay City?
    Grant: I told the hospital to let him go. Besides Evan was getting out of control.
    Iris: I agree with the Evan part but letting Carl go was a stupid idea.
    Grant: You should be happy about what I’ve done.
    Iris: And why should I? Carl has not changed over the years. He is still the same dangerous man that tried to kill my father.
    Grant: He’s here now, and that way we can keep an eye on him.
    Someone knocks on the door, and Iris opens it. A man walks in with a big chef hat looking down pushing a cart in. The cart has a plate with a dome on top of it.
    Grant: Did you order room service?
    Iris: No I…didn’t. It’s YOU!
    The person takes off the hat and looks up at Grant and Iris…
    Grant: Carl Hutchins.
    Carl faces them, removes the dome, and points a gun at them.
    Carl: Hello my fine feathered…enemies.

    Donna tells Nicole of her future plans
    hotel
    ALLEN OPENS THE DOOR
    Allen: Marley! What a nice surprise. Come in. I was just going to get some ice.
    Marley (walking in, looking around): Going on a trip?
    Allen: No…
    Marley: Then why are you packing? Are you leaving the hotel?
    Allen: Grandfather stopped paying for it.
    Marley: What? How could he do something like that? Where are you going to go?
    Allen: I’ll find somewhere.
    Marley: No. I’m not gonna let any member of my family be homeless. You can stay with Tyrone and me.
    Allen: You probably should run that by Tyrone first.
    Marley: I don’t see it being a problem. You’re his brother.
    Allen: Marley you’re so sweet for offering, but I can’t take it.

    Donna sits next to Nicole as she’s getting her chemotherapy I.V. drip.
    Donna: I can’t believe what Reginald did to Allen. He’s completely turning his back on him.
    Nicole: It’s all my fault.
    Donna: Listen to me. Don’t you dare blame yourself for what Reginald is doing.
    Nicole: I was irresponsible. I had a child when I was sixteen.
    Donna: That didn’t give Reginald the right to take Allen away from you, or to take Victoria away from me.
    Nicole: I should have been more responsible.
    Donna: You have a wonderful son, and we will try get him out of any mess that Reginald has gotten him into.
    Nicole: Daddy was keeping me locked up at Pinehaven to make Allen do what he did.
    Donna: Reginald has made our lives miserable long enough, and it’s time for him to pay.

    Gregory and Lindsay are walking arm in arm to a table.
    Lindsay (sitting down): You’ve made so much progress. You’ll probably won’t need that cane soon.
    Gregory (sitting down): I owe it to you. You helped me recover.
    Gregory flashes back to when he saw Lindsay puts a small cup that Jake drank water out of, into a clear bag.
    Gregory: I can’t deny the good that you’ve done for me Lindsay.
    They kiss.
    Gregory: I really really like you, and I don’t want you to be afraid to tell me anything. You don’t have to keep things from me.
    Lindsay gives a half smile knowing that she’s keeping her reason for being in Bay City from Gregory.

    Allen: Marley just drop it. I don’t want to live with you and Tyrone.
    Marley: Where else are you going to go?

    Donna: I wouldn’t take anything that came from dad.
    Nicole: I was going to stay with Allen, but Reginald stopped paying for his hotel room.

    Nicole: Thanks sis, but I’m going to be staying with Cass.
    Donna: Is that a good idea?
    Nicole: Cass offered, I didn’t even ask him, and I’m very happy about that.
    Donna: If it helps you to beat this thing then, I’m all for it.
    Donna answers her cell phone.
    Donna: Hello? (beat) Hi Cass.
    Nicole perks up a bit.
    Donna: Okay I’ll…I’ll meet you at the mansion.
    Donna hangs up smiling.
    Nicole: That was Cass.
    Donna: Yes…he says a company is willing to make an investment.
    Nicole: Into what?
    Donna: I didn’t want to say anything until I was sure, but I’m thinking about re-opening the Harbor Club.

    Lindsay: And the more time I spend with you, the more I trust you.
    Gregory: Is something bothering you? Maybe I can help.
    Lindsay (nervously): There is…something I have to tell you.

    Tyrone is in the living room wearing sweatpants and a white A-shirt as he looks over some papers…and Marley walks in.
    Marley: Hi.
    Tyrone: Hey babe.
    Marley: What are you doing?
    Tyrone: Going over Allen’s case. His hearing is coming up soon.
    Marley: Oh my. How’s it looking?
    Tyrone (smiling): Now you know I can’t tell you that baby.
    Tyrone gently kisses her on her cheek.
    Marley: There’s something I need to ask you.
    Tyrone: I will make the bed as soon as I’m done. I know it’s my turn today.
    Marley: Although that would be very nice, that’s not what I was going to ask you.
    Tyrone: Okay, well what is it?
    Marley: I was wondering you would consider letting Allen live here until he found his own place.
    Tyrone: What? Absolutely not.
    Marley: Tyrone he’s your brother and my cousin. He’s family. Is this how you treat him?
    Tyrone: Allen got himself mixed up in this mess with Reginald and Cory Publishing.
    Marley: And you know why he was doing it. He was trying to protect his mother.
    Tyrone: He had his own reasons why he agreed to be a mole.
    Marley: Then why are you representing him if you think he’s guilty.
    Tyrone: Because he is.

    Iris is on the phone with her grandson, Dennis, Jr. via facetime.
    Iris: What’s going on with you?
    Dennis, Jr.: I’m working but I wanna come spend time with you.
    Iris: You don’t need to work. I’ll send you the money to come to Bay City.
    Dennis, Jr: I wanna come live with you. I’m tired of all the curfews and chores.
    Iris: Well, Dennis is your father and you have to abide by their rules. If you come to live with me, there will be rules you have to follow honey.
    Dennis, Jr.: It’s almost like jail.
    Iris: It can’t be that bad.
    Dennis, Jr: Clean your room, mow the lawn, walk the dog. My goodness. I can’t take it grandma. Sarah comes by every now and then and helps but I gotta do it all.
    Iris: How is Sarah?
    Dennis, Jr.: Her opinion about you is the same as dad’s.
    Iris (saddened): Oh, but at least you and I are keeping in touch.
    Dennis, Jr.: Dad’s not gonna stop me from talking to you.
    Iris (tears welling up in her eyes): I’m glad we can keep in touch. I love you honey.
    Dennis, Jr.: Love you, too grandma.
    Iris hangs up as she goes to answer the door. Amanda walks in after Iris opens it.
    Amanda: What’s wrong with you?

    Lindsay: Mom…what are you doing here?
    Stacey: We need to have a talk and we can’t do it here.
    Lindsay: Gregory, this is my mom. Stacey Winthrop. Cass’s sister.
    Gregory: Hi.
    Stacey: You’re Gregory Hudson?
    Gregory: That’s me.
    Stacey: I remember you when you were practically a baby. You’ve grown up.
    Gregory: You’re daughter’s amazing.
    Lindsay: Hey I’m gonna have a talk with my mom.
    Gregory: Sounds important. I’m gonna take off.
    Lindsay: Call ya later?
    Gregory: You got it.
    They kiss on the lips and as Greg leaves, Stacey takes his place at the table.
    Stacey: Do you think you should be involved with a patient?
    Lindsay: That’s none of your business.
    Stacey: Don’t talk to me that way.
    Lindsay: Really mom? Pales in comparison to the way you’ve treated me.
    Stacey: We have to talk Lindsay.
    Lindsay (sighing): About what mom?
    Stacey: You know what I’m talking about. If you pursue this, you’ll be making a huge mistake.

    Tyrone: Allen resents me for the way my mother treated him when he came to live with us after he left boarding school, and I don’t want him in here.
    Marley: It wasn’t Allen’s fault that Reginald paid your father to take him away and send him to boarding school.
    Tyrone: It’s no excuse for the way he’s turned out.
    Marley: I lost so many years with my sister, and you grew up with your brother, and you don’t want him in the same house with you!
    Tyrone: He’s got you fooled doesn’t he? He’s not the good hearted that he portrays himself to be.
    Marley: He’s never had a sense of family and I’m not gonna turn my back on him.
    Tyrone: So you’re willing to help Allen even if I don’t want you to? Even if causes problems between us?
    Marley: That’s not fair.
    Tyrone: I can’t believe what I’m hearing right now.
    Tyrone gets up and Marley is surprised.
    Marley: Where are you going?
    Tyrone: I’ll be back.

    Iris: I was just on the phone with Dennis, Jr.
    Amanda: Your grandson. How is he?
    Iris: He’s okay. I’m touched that you would ask about him.
    Amanda: Why wouldn’t I? He’s family.
    Iris: He’s Mac’s great-grandson. I know this isn’t a social call though.
    Amanda: I need your signature.
    Iris: For what?
    Amanda: A second person to contest the sale of daddy’s company.
    Iris: As if you had to ask that question.
    Iris signs the papers and Amanda takes them.
    Amanda: I’ll file these with the court tomorrow. Mom’s not gonna be too happy when she gets them. We’re gonna get controlling interest back in the family.
    Amanda leaves.
    Iris: No Amanda, I’M gonna get controlling interest of Cory Publishing.

    Stacey: He has a family and he’s happy, and you would disrupt it by springing this on them.

    Lindsay: The only person you’re protecting is yourself. What do you have to hide? Is it the fact that you cheated on dad?
    Stacey: I never cheated on Derek. We were broken up.

    Lindsay: Derek Dane is always gonna be my dad, but I want to meet my biological father, and I don’t really understand why you’re trying to stop me.

    Lindsay receives an email on her phone and it’s the DNA test results.
    Lindsay: It’s true…Jake McKinnon is my father.

    Mitch walks by a table and notices Sharlene.
    Mitch: Sharlene? Mind if I join you?
    Sharlene: Sure why not? Have a seat.
    Mitch: Out having a coffee huh?
    Sharlene: Sometimes I enjoy these moments alone. How are you and Felicia?
    Mitch: We’re great. How about you and John?
    Sharlene: Never better. I’m just glad to be home with my family. I was a little surprised that you wanted to join me here, given what my nephew tried to do.
    Mitch: What Evan did is not your fault. You’re nothing like him. It’s probably more my fault than anything.
    Sharlene: Because you were…helping my sister.
    Mitch: I tried to stop her, but it was too late.
    Sharlene: Being in St. Croix made me think of Janice. What was it like to deal with her on that level?
    Mitch: What do you mean?
    Sharlene: All these things that she did, I can’t imagine her ever being a killer. What was she like?

    Charlie: I’m so proud of you mom.
    Frankie: For what?
    Charlie: You brought my grandfather back to town, and he is back with his family. You were always so brave.
    Frankie: Cory and Elizabeth are your uncle and aunt.
    Charlie: It’s like we got a whole new family.
    Frankie (laughing): Right.
    Charlie: Then why aren’t you all that thrilled about it?
    Frankie: Come on, of course I am. I’m happy for Rachel, Cory and Elizabeth.
    Charlie: Does it make you think of…when you, dad, and I were a family.
    Frankie: Sometimes. I miss that.
    Charlie: What you miss…is you and dad being married…being together.
    Frankie: I’m busy these days though. I have work.
    Charlie: Come on mom, stop denying it. You’re still in love with dad.

    Cass: Who are you talking about?
    Stacey: Jake McKinnon.

    Mitch: That’s a time I’d like to forget. Janice was poisoning Mac, stabbed me, and tried to kill Rachel.
    Sharlene: I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to bring up bad memories. I just can’t imagine the sister I grew up with being like that.
    Mitch: She was your sister. I know it hurts to realize that she was a killer.
    Sharlene: She and Evan.
    Mitch: Well I’m gonna get home to see my wife.
    Sharlene: Thanks Mitch.

    As Mitch walks away, he pauses, and thinks why Sharlene would ask about Janice.
    Frankie: A part of me is always going to love your father.
    Charlie: Then go tell him.
    Frankie: But it doesn’t mean that we should be together.
    Charlie: I lived with dad and Lila for years. He loved her, but not the way he loved you. There was a distinct difference.
    Frankie: Lila made him happy, and that’s all I would have wanted for your father and you.
    Charlie: You still want to be with him.
    Frankie: You’re so sweet honey, but too many years have passed, and too much has happened for me to even think about reuniting with your father.

    Cass: You left Bay City. How did you ever manage to be with Jake?
    Stacey: I met Jake while he was in Los Angeles.
    Cass: What was he doing there?
    Stacey: He rode in on his motorcycle, trying to get away from loan sharks. I paid them off for him.
    Cass: Weren’t you and Derek together?
    Stacey: No we had broken up.
    Cass: How did you meet up with Jake?
    Stacey: I saw him one night at a bar. He tried to pick me up. Clearly he wasn’t himself. I asked him about Bay City, but he claimed not to know anything about it.
    Cass: Sounds like he had some memory loss or something.
    Stacey: He did, but he made me laugh that night. I was lonely and I wanted some comfort.
    Cass: My God, Stacey. You took advantage of him. He had no idea who he was.
    Stacey: It wasn’t like that. We spent some time together, and we slept together, too.
    Cass: And you got pregnant.
    Stacey: Given my past troubles with conceiving I didn’t think anything of it.
    Cass: How do you know it’s Jake’s?
    Stacey: I always questioned the possibility. After Derek and I got back together, I had a DNA test done, and Lindsay found it. It confirmed that Jake is her father.
    Cass: And now she’s here, hoping with to get to know him.
    Stacey: And he might not even remember it. She’s going to be hurt. I’ve got to stop her from confronting Jake.

    Bridget walks into the living room, where Jake sits, and Bridget sits next to him on the couch.
    Bridget: Ice cream bar?
    Jake: Oh come on you know I won’t refuse that.
    Bridget (giving him the ice cream): You and mom going to get counseling today?
    Jake: Yep.
    Bridget: That’s good right?
    Jake: I hope so.
    Vicky comes to the top of the stairs and listens.
    Bridget: You know I can’t help but feel responsible for where you and mom are at.
    Jake: For the last time, it’s not your fault.
    Bridget: If I hadn’t been fighting with Michele…if she hadn’t….
    Jake: Don’t bring that up. We had problems before Michele died. It’s not your fault.
    Vicky interrupts and joins them in the living room.
    Vicky: Your father’s right. Stop blaming yourself honey. I was unfair to you, and I’m sorry.
    Bridget: I just didn’t think that you…loved me as much as you loved Michele.
    Vicky: That’s ridiculous. I love all my children equally.
    Jake: Well we better get going or we’re going to be late.

    Cass: Stacey!
    Lindsay walks out of the bedroom and overhears.
    Stacey: Hey brother.
    Cass: Hey. What’s going on?
    Stacey: I’m fine. I’m just wondering if you’ve seen my daughter.
    Cass: Lindsay’s been here the whole time.
    Stacey: She hasn’t returned any of my phone calls recently.
    Cass: I don’t understand this animosity that you two are having right now. What’s going on?
    Stacey: I’ll explain everything when I get there?
    Cass: You’re coming to Bay City?
    Stacey: Getting on the plane now.
    Cass hangs up and Lindsay confronts him.
    Lindsay: Did I hear right? My mom is on her way here?
    Cass: Yeah.

    Kirkland has just announced that he is running for mayor of Bay City, upstaging Grant…and Charlie gets up and runs away…Kirkland notices, follows her, and stops her. They are now away from the press conference.

    Charlie: How could you do this?
    Kirkland: Let me explain…
    Charlie: I don’t want to be anywhere near you!

    Vicky: Why do you have a pen and pad?
    Jake: The doctor’s gonna have one aren’t they?
    Vicky: Yeah I suppose so.
    Jake: Why can’t I take notes?
    Vicky: Usually you would take a pen and paper to class, not to a marriage counseling session.
    Jake: I guess I can’t stop being a reporter.

It’s time to make Bay City the dynamic place I know it can be. I’ll take questions.

    Grant is shocked but plays it off…

    Kirkland: How can you…possibly think that you are gonna clean up Bay City…when you are the dirtiest person I know.

    Kirkland: You don’t understand dad? Well let me help ya out. You’re a killer. You shot my Uncle Ryan to death! You pulled every trick in the book to take me away from my mother!

    Frankie: You’re gonna be with your family.
    Rachel: And it’s time for you to be with yours…Cass and Charlie.

    The Cory/Hutchins family – Rachel and Elizabeth welcome Carl’s return, but not everyone in the family has such open arms. Cory’s disdain for Carl will grow, and he will be at odds with his family. Amanda will play a part in this. Carl’s agenda will also fuel Cory’s disdain for him.

    The Love/Hudson family – Reginald is public enemy #1 among his family. They all blame him for Nicole’s condition, and the family continues to support her as her condition weakens. The weaker she gets, the angrier the family gets at Reginald. Bridget continues to support Reginald, which will once again put her at odds with Vicky and Jake.

    Mayoral Election – Grant’s opponent will be Kirkland. Grant, Vicky, Jake, and Charlie will all try to talk Kirkland out of it. Kirkland reminds the public of Grant killing Ryan, which prompts Grant to reluctantly dig for dirt on Kirkland, and is shocked by what he finds.

    John/Sharlene/Mitch/Felicia – Sharlene will learn the truth about what John did to keep her from remembering Grant’s shooting, and she will begin to turn to Mitch as an unlikely source for support.     Jake/Vicky – These two will be going through marriage counseling on their way toward reconciliation…hopefully, and they will be challenged by other obstacles.

    Paulina walks in and knocks lightly.
    Grant: I can’t wait until then. Bay City won’t know what hit em.
    Grant hangs up and Paulina walks up to him.
    Paulina: Is that right Mr. Harrison? I guess I better get ready huh?
    Grant (putting his arms around Paulina’s waist): Yes I think you’d better.
    Paulina: What’s the big announcement?
    Grant: I might as well give you a preview…since you are special to me.
    Paulina: Special huh?
    Grant: Yes.
    They kiss.
    Grant: I’m making it at the Center tomorrow.
    Paulina: Are you talking about your announcement?
    Grant: I’m running for mayor of Bay City.
    Paulina: Wow. Really? Against whom?
    Grant: I have no idea yet.
    Paulina: You know what. I’m thirsty. I’m gonna get some water.

    Kirkland hangs up, turns around, and faces Charlie.

    Charlie: I can’t believe this.

    Charlie: You’re plotting against your father aren’t you?

    Carl shoves the police disguise underneath his bed, and reads the piece of paper that he has.

    MEANWHILE…
    Rachel and Frankie walk up to the room where Carl is staying.
    Frankie: Let me go in…and make sure everything is okay.
    Rachel: Frankie it might be dangerous.

    Vicky (eyes welling up): So do I. I miss her. I miss her every single day.
    Jake: She was so smart. So beautiful. I was looking forward to beating the guys off of her.
    Vicky: Except for Cory Hutchins.
    Jake: He’s a very upright kid. Just the kind of guy I would have wanted my daughter to be with.

    Amanda: I’m not sure, but we have to take this chance Iris. We don’t see eye to eye, but we both agree that my mother made a mistake…

    Amanda: Because you and I also know how hard daddy worked in building his company, and I’m not gonna let my mother sell it off to the highest bidder.
    Iris: Amen to that. What do you plan on doing?

    Jack: That was them.
    Toni: Oh…what did they say?
    Jack: They got the autopsy report from Evan’s murder.
    Toni: I coulda told em he died from a gunshot wound.
    Jack: That’s the problem…he didn’t.
    Toni: He didn’t what?
    Jack: They said he died from asphyxiation.
    Toni: He must have choked on his own blood.
    Jack: A long mark was on his neck.
    Toni: Sounds like someone used a pipe of some sort to strangle him?
    Jack: Yep…someone choked him to death.

    Rachel: I don’t believe this. For all we know we know it could all be part of Evan’s plan. He could be an impostor.
    Frankie flashes back to getting a sample from Carl.
    Frankie: That’s why I got a sample of his DNA after we all escaped the fire. I had to know if he was really my father like Evan said.
    Cory walks to the double doors of the living room from the foyer and decides to listen to Rachel and Frankie.
    Rachel: And you believe him?
    Frankie: I believed what I saw, and I believe the DNA test. That was Carl Hutchins I saw lying in that bed, and he’s my biological father.
    Rachel: He had a brain tumor that resurfaced, and I watched him die in my arms. He can’t still be alive.
    Frankie: There’s only one way to find out.

    Cass: I guess we’re about to find out.
    Marley: What happened?
    Cass: She was leaving and she just collapsed at the door. I brought her here.
    Vicky: Oh my God.
    Reginald comes up but does not approach everyone. He stays within earshot but out of sight as John comes out to give the news.
    Cass: John how is she?
    John: I had some tests done. It’s not good at all.

    Donna: What does that mean?
    John: She has a high level of sedatives and drugs in her system, and it’s causing her illness.
    Vicky: John just tell us what’s happening to my aunt.
    Allen runs up to all of them.
    Allen: I’m the next of kin. What’s going on with my mother?
    John: She has cancer.
    Marley: Did the drugs have something to do with Nicole getting sick?
    John: Yes.
    Allen: No…no I just got my mother back. I can’t lose her!
    John: I’m gonna call the oncologist and set up chemo for her.
    Allen: My God…this can’t be happening.

    Marley walks over to Allen and Tyrone watches closely.
    Marley: I’m so sorry. Is there anything I can do?
    Allen: Thanks Marley...I just need to take this in.
    Reginald tries to walk away, but it’s too late…Allen notices him.
    Allen: Wait a minute Grandpa!
    Reginald turns around and Allen grabs him by his collar, and hems him up against the wall.
    Allen: You’re responsible for this! My mother’s sick because of you!
    The rest of the Love/Hudsons approach Allen and Reginald, and Tyrone pulls Allen off of him, and then Donna approaches Reginald.
    Donna: You kept my sister locked up at Pinehaven, drugged constantly, and now look at her, she’s got cancer. I hope you feel good about yourself Reginald.
    Donna walks off and Tyrone watches Donna.
    Reginald: I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.
    Vicky: Donna told us how you took Allen away from Nicole. You paid Bridget to take me away, and you paid Clayton Montgomery to take Allen away. Nicole hasn’t been right since then.
    Tyrone (to Marley): I’m gonna go get some coffee.
    Marley: I’d love some.
    Tyrone walks away, and now it’s Bridget’s turn.
    Bridget: You’re all wrong! Grandpa would never do this to anyone!
    Vicky: Bridget maybe we should go.
    Bridget: No mom. He would never cause Aunt Nicole to be sick!
    Reginald: She’s right. I would never try to hurt my own daughter!
    Vicky: Why don’t you tell her the truth! Tell her that you had Nicole locked up and drugged while she was at Pinehaven.
    Bridget: Stop it mom! Grandpa Reginald is not like that. Come on mom’s wrong isn’t she?
    Vicky: Maybe you two should go and talk. Bridget you obviously don’t know your great-grandfather that well.

    Allen: She was sick because of what he did to her when she was sixteen. He took me away from her.
    Marley: I can’t imagine that. Reginald has done some terrible things, and it seems like Nicole is the one who is paying for it.

    Donna is off by herself and Tyrone approaches her.
    Donna: I should have been there. I let my sister down.
    Tyrone: Reginald did this.
    Donna: I’m not talking about my father. She was sixteen and he took Allen away from her like he took Victoria away from me. No wonder she turned to drugs. She was hurting inside. She had a child that she couldn’t be with. She was locked up in a mental institution and all I could do was write her a few letters.
    Tyrone: You can’t blame yourself Donna. It’s not your fault.
    Donna: It IS my fault. I’m just as selfish as my father is. I should have been there for my sister.
    Tyrone embraces Donna as she cries, and Marley walks up and observes them.

    Grant flashes back to shooting Evan.


    Grant: It went very well. I took care of everything. I’d like to focus on you now.


    Paulina: I’d like that.


    Kirkland and Charlie walk in. Kirkland notices Grant and Paulina together and quickly orders a table for the two of them. Charlie does not notice what Kirkland has noticed, and the two are seated.


    Charlie: I’m gonna go to the ladies’ room.


    Kirkland: Um sure.


    Kirkland watches Charlie walk to the ladies’ room, and Kirkland makes a beeline for Grant and Paulina’s table.


    Kirkland (sarcastically): Good evening dad, Paulina. He’s drawing you further into his web isn’t he?


    Grant: Kirkland…


    Kirkland: He’s going to hurt badly Paulina. I don’t know how else to warn you.


    Paulina: That’s enough.


    Kirkland: Get away from him.

    Paulina: Kirkland! I said that’s enough!


    Charlie comes out of the ladies’ room and sees Kirkland.

    Allen holds Amanda in his arms as they have finished making love.

    Frankie takes out the paper that has the DNA test results on it. She braces herself, and gives it to Rachel.

    Frankie: It was the results of a DNA test.


    Rachel: Carl is your father? How did you get a samp….? No…no this can’t be right. This can't be possible.

    Cameron: Wow. Is that what’s on the paper?


    Amanda: No. My lawyers are telling me that I have thirty days to contest the sale and keep it in the family.


    Cameron: That can be costly…and time consuming.


    Amanda: This is my chance to keep my father’s company in the family…where it belongs. I’m gonna go ask my mother about this.

    Mitch: That bulletproof vest was kind of heavy.

    Mitch: He wanted to kill me because I turned on his mother.


    Felicia: Well that’s all in the past now. We are together, and I’m not losing my husband this time.

    Toni: Work on some cases I guess. I mean I’m glad this is all over. Jack Snyder is new in town, but I had a personal stake in catching Evan. He killed one of our finest.

    Jack: He was found dead in his hotel room. Seems like he caused quite a bit of havoc.


    Paulina: Why did he kill my husband?


    Jack: Apparently Joe and Cameron Sinclair were investigating him, and Joe was getting too close.


    Paulina: Close? To what? Jack what is it you’re not telling me?


    Jack: Evan shot Grant on Bay City Center’s grand opening.


    Paulina: Oh my God…


    Paulina flashes back to a conversation she and Joe had.


    Paulina: Why do you need to take this job?


    Joe: Cuz we need the money. They’re cutting back at the police station and the restaurant ain’t doin’ too good.


    Paulina: You know this job is too dangerous Joe and I don’t want you to take it!


    Paulina then comes back to the present.


    Paulina: That’s why he took the job as the security detail. He was really trying to bust someone. Why would Evan kill him though?


    Jack: We don’t really know everything behind that. We just know that he’s off the streets, and he won’t be hurting anyone else again.


    Paulina: Why did he shoot Grant?


    Jack: Sounds like a question you’re gonna have to ask him. I’m so sorry Paulina.


    Paulina: About what?


    Jack: About you losing your husband.


    Paulina: Wow you’re always showing compassion, just like you did back when Remy was born.


    Jack: I’m seeing that similar look of bewilderment on your face.


    Paulina: And you were there for me then, too.


    Jack: You were devastated to give Remy up for adoption.


    Paulina: I don’t think I…could’ve gotten through all of that without your support.


    Jack: Are you going to be okay?


    Paulina: I thought this would…help to give me closure about Joe’s death but, it just raises more questions. Why did Evan shoot Grant?


    Jack: It’s not gonna be an official police investigation, but if you need my help, I’m here.

    Iris (reading the article to herself): Heiress Alexandra Spaulding hospitalized with an apparent heart attack. She’s in critical condition. Nobody knows the cause of it. Wow I hope she’s okay.
    Iris gets a welcome instant message.
    Iris: D.J.?
    She begins a I.M. conversation with D.J.
    D.J.: Hey grandma.
    Iris: Hi Honey. How are you?
    D.J.: I’m fine. I would hit you on video chat but dad’s in the other room.
    Iris: Is school out yet?
    D.J.: Yep. I was hoping we could come to Bay City and hang out with you, but dad is being all mysterious about why we can’t.
    Iris: I would love to have you and your sister come visit.
    D.J.: Do you know why dad won’t let us see you?
    In the middle of Iris typing her reply, she gets a video chat message request…from her son, Dennis.
    Dennis (VO): Mom D.J. has chores that he has to do around the house.
    Iris: He wants to come see me this summer.
    Dennis: Well he’s not coming.
    Iris: Dennis please let me see my grandchildren. I haven’t seen them since…
    Dennis: Since you were in prison. I don’t want them associated with a criminal.
    Iris: They’re my grandkids. Please let me see them.
    Dennis: I don’t want them anywhere near you.
    Dennis ends the video chat session, and Iris is saddened, and as a tear rolls down her cheek, REginald hands her a tissue.

    Reginald: You look like you could use some cheering up. I’ve got good news for you.

    Gregory (sweating): Few more…steps.
    Lindsay: Yes! Come on!
    Gregory gets to the end of the bars.
    Lindsay: Yes! That’s great!
    Gregory plops back in the wheelchair, exhausted.
    Lindsay: You’re making significant progress every day it seems like.
    Gregory: Thanks to you.
    Lindsay: No…you deserve all the credit.
    Lindsay bends down to kiss Gregory and John interrupts, and he’s holding a folder.
    John: Hey kids.
    Gregory: Dad.
    Lindsay: Hi Dr. Hudson.
    John: How’s my boy doing?
    Lindsay: He’s making a lot of progress.
    John: Makes sense.
    Lindsay: He’s determined.
    John: That’s what the tests show. I looked at your films, and the swelling has gone down in your spine at a rapid rate. All the feeling should be coming back.

    Toni: Jake, Sharlene. This is Jack Snyder. He’s the Chief of Detectives at BCPD.
    This is Sharlene Hudson, and Jake McKinnon.
    Jack: Mrs. Hudson. You can use my cell phone to call your husband. Jake, good to meet you.
    Jake: Yeah. Are you here to get Evan?
    Toni: Where is he?
    Sharlene: He’s staying at The Beachfront Hotel.
    Jack: Let’s go.

    Grant: You forgot. It is MY money paying them. I dismissed all of them, and I told them to unlock all the doors so your hostages can leave.
    Evan: Why did you do that?
    Grant: BECAUSE this is over.
    Evan faces Grant.
    Evan: For whom? You or me.
    Grant: You.
    Evan: Are you telling me that you’re not gonna fund my plan anymore?
    Grant: No more Evan. I am not gonna let you bleed me dry.
    Evan: Your money supply is endless Grant. I don’t think you wanna stop.
    Grant: Your blackmail, your hush money, it’s time for it all to end.
    Evan (taking out his cell phone): If that’s what you want Senator, then so be it. I can make it all be over. All it’ll take is one phone call.
    Grant takes out his gun, with a silencer, and points it at Evan.
    Grant: Put the damn phone down.
    Evan starts to dial a number, and Grant shoots him in the abdomen. Evan falls to the floor, and consequently drops his cell phone. Grant squats to face Evan, and confiscates Evan’s cell phone.
    Grant: Was it worth it Frame? I bet you think it wasn’t now, don’t you? I shot my own brother. What makes you think I wouldn’t do the same to you?
    Evan: Got to hell.
    Grant: By the looks of things, you’ll get there first.

    Toni: I got a copy of the invoice for those bullets. They were purchased in St. Croix. They’re only made there.
    Jack: Thank God Rachel came to us when she did.
    Toni: Mitch would be dead if she didn’t.

    Felicia and Mitch lie in bed after having made love.

    He turns his back and pours chloroform on a cloth.
    Frankie: Come on Evan please. You can’t continue this. Let’s go on with our lives. You can meet your niece Charlie, and Cory and Elizabeth.
    Evan then approaches Frankie and places the chloroformed laced cloth on her mouth, which causes her to be unconscious.

    Nicole: I know I wasn’t. I caused a lot of pain, but I got better, and daddy made sure I wouldn’t get out.


    Donna: Did you think really think I would win against Reginald?


    Nicole: I don’t know, but you’re supposed to be my sister.


    Donna: If I had tried to go up against Reginald, I would have put everyone else I loved in danger.


    Nicole: True to form huh sis. Thinking about yourself, while I rotted away in a mental institution.


    Donna: You know how Reginald is. I was not going to put anyone I care about in danger, but I tried keeping in touch with you. You got my letters.


    Nicole: No…I didn’t.


    Donna: You see…when dad wants something to happen, he makes it happen.


    Nicole: Look I’m not blaming you, Donna. I just miss my sister, and I want her back.


    Donna: Oh…we’ve been given a second chance right.

    Nicole: I have, with you and my son.

    ALLEN’S HOTEL ROOM


    Allen: What do you care?


    Tyrone: Who put your mother in danger? Was it your grandfather?


    Allen: Don’t worry all dat.


    Tyrone: Did he place you in Cory Publishing as some type of mole so it could go under?


    Allen: You know you ask a lotta damn questions. I think the only question you need to be asking if Marley is gonna see this.


    Allen pulls out his laptop and shows the shots of Tyrone and Donna is seemingly compromising positions.


    Tyrone: What da hell is this?


    Allen: You gettin’ it in with my Aunt Donna huh?


    Tyrone: It ain’t like dat.


    Allen: Well WE know what it is, but will Marley?


    Tyrone: You really gonna show her dat? You gon’ hurt your own family?


    Allen: You better get me off these charges, or I will have to show my cousin what you do behind her back.

    TYRONE MONTGOMERY
    Ever since I got married to Marley we’ve been happy for the most part. We had some issues with her guilt and all dat, but it seems like she got over it. We’re good now. Me and Toni Burrell was together for a little bit before I knew Marley, but she loved Chris Madison, and even before that, she was married to my brother, which I also didn’t know.
    Man, I ain’t know she was married to my long lost brother, Allen Love. He’s sneaky. He was in Bay City all dis time and he ain’t even call to tell me. I know we don’t speak or nothing like that, but I would have figured it all out. He tried to put ‘tt’ at the end of his name. He’s Clayton Montgomery’s bastard child. It probably wasn’t the first time he cheated on my moms. Priscilla is my mother’s name, and I ain’t know how she put up with him, cuz I know it ain’t the first time he cheated on her.
    This makes me wonder if I’m like my dad. I look at Donna and we click for some reason. In a way that Marley and I don’t click. There’s something about Donna that just draws me to her. I don’t know what it is. I guess it’s the same reason that Marley’s father and Donna got married so many times. I know there were some situations where something could have happened, and my brother says he has proof. I could see how Marley could misinterpret the whole thing and think I was cheatin’ on her. I love Marley and I would never do that, but I start to wonder if I’m really like my father.

    VICTORIA HUDSON MCKINNON

    Boy how things have changed since I first came to Bay City. I never thought I would be a mother. I married my childhood friend Jake, and we raised Kirkland and Steven, and we had two beautiful twin daughters, Bridget and Michele. Michele might as well have been the perfect child. She did everything we asked, she stayed out of trouble, and was going to Harvard, but my other daughter was jealous. Bridget thought we didn’t love her. I love ALL of my children equally. Steven, Kirkland, Bridget, and Michele.
    I miss Michele dearly. She is everything I wasn’t when I was her age. Smart, beautiful, intelligent and was going to really make something of herself, but her life was cut short due to an accident. I know Bridget would never intentionally try to injure her sister, but I do believe that she would try to sabotage her happiness. I did the same thing to Lisa Grady. I set my sights on Jamie, and I went after him. I set my sights on Grant, and I went after him. They both were involved with other people at the time, but I didn’t care. I wanted what I wanted, and Bridget is just like me. I can’t stand to see it, so I sent her to live with Donna.
    These lead to problems between Jake and me. He walked out. I guess he decided to focus on his work, and his co-worker. I saw him hugging Frankie Frame, and he went to St. Croix with her. Maybe he’s moved on.
    Jack Snyder has been a pleasant surprise so far. He’s got his children and Carly back in Oakdale. He’s been a very good friend so far. I love Jake, and I hope we can work something out at some point, but I’m wondering if he wants the same thing, since he’s off at St. Croix doing God knows what with Frankie.

    GRANT HARRISON

    Guess it’s my turn huh. Things have been crazy for me, but I’m a politician. I was born to do this, and I will do anything to hold on to my seat. I did it years ago. I had Evan shoot me with blanks so I could win votes. The people would forget all about what I did all those years ago. The custody battles with Vicky; me shooting myself; faking my death. The list goes on and on.
    Everything went as planned, except for one thing…Paulina. I developed feelings for her along the way. We were involved years ago, but I’ve seen her become a devoted wife and mother, and of course she wanted nothing to do with me after I had her hooked on diet pills. She married Joe Carlino and they raised a wonderful son. Just so you know, I had nothing to do with Carlino’s death, but he was onto my scheme with Evan, and I had to keep an eye on him. Evan took it upon himself to kill him. I can remember that day. It was the Grand Opening of Bay City Center two years ago. I crawled to him, but I was shot with a blank. It was clear that Joe wasn’t.


    Grant (tending to Joe): What the hell happened?


    Joe: I knew it was you Harrison.


    Grant: I had nothing to do with this. I would never do this to Paulina.


    Joe: You planned this whole thing. I got evidence.
    Paulina and Dante ran over to Joe along with the paramedics as he started to become unconscious. The look on Paulina’s face was a look I will never forget. I made a vow at that time that I would look out for her and Dante. They took Joe away and someone approached me unexpectedly as I lied on the ground…Sharlene.
    Sharlene: Grant…oh my God you’ve been shot! I…I…
    Apparently Sharlene couludn’t remember. I won the Senate seat, and I thought it was all over…until Sharlene started seeking therapy. I helped Dr. Taylor open up his own practice in exchange for keeping Sharlene in the dark about the occurrences of that day. I also had to keep someone else quiet….Evan Frame.
    He kept calling me asking me for money, and he threatened to blow my scheme out of the water. He’s still got his hand out, and I’m getting tired of it. He really has no idea who he’s messing with. I killed my own brother Ryan, and I will have no problem shutting up Evan…permanently.

    AND….RACHEL
    It’s been five years since my beloved Carl passed away. I’ll never forget that day. We had just gotten the news that his brain tumor was getting larger. They couldn’t operate, and we were going to the hospital. It broke my heart to see Cory and Elizabeth hurting the way they were. It would be the last time they saw their father.
    Carl: My sweet, darling Elizabeth. You’re looking more and more like your mother every day, and you’re just as spunky as she is.
    Elizabeth (crying): Daddy, I…I don’t want you to go.
    Carl: I’ll always be with you my dear…right here in your heart. You, too Cory. The three of you are the best thing that ever happened to me.
    Cory: I wish I could reach in and take it out. There’s got to be something more that they could’ve done.
    Carl: It’s a brain tumor. They’re very tricky.
    Rachel: It’s inoperable.
    Cory: With the advances in medicine they should be able to do something. Dad this isn’t like you.
    Carl: Son, there are battles in your life that you’re just not going to win. All you can do, is make sure that your loved ones…are taken care of.
    He looked at me with the most re-assuring look. He knew that Cory and Elizabeth were in good hands. While we were in the living room, I heard a noise outside, but I thought nothing of it.
    I had plenty to think of after Carl finally passed away. Elizabeth was getting spunkier. Amanda returned home after she and Cameron split up. Cory Publishing was sinking, and I had to sell it. Turns out Allen Lovett was a mole in my company. All the evidence came in a box with no return address. I wonder who sent it.
    I sold Cory Publishing to Reginald Love, because I know Iris would want to get her filthy hands on it. That woman has been a thorn in my side even after Mac’s death. I didn’t testify against her so I can keep my eye on her. Did she really think I was not privy to her going after Mac’s company? If I have anything to say about it, she’ll NEVER get her hands on it. She’s trying to poison my children against me. She will stop at nothing to make my life miserable. I will find out what she’s up to, and stop her, and she better not make any more poisonous remarks to my children.
    I’m glad Matt came for Mitch and Felicia’s wedding. I hate what we had to do, but it had to be done. It was good seeing Lorna again, and I’m very very worried about Amanda. She never returned to the front of the church. Somebody’s got her, and I think was the same person who shot Mitch. Felicia is my best friend, and I had to do this for her.
    Rachel (leading Felicia into a room): Come here.
    Felicia: Why are we here Rachel? What’s going on?
    It was all worth it to see the look on her face….when MITCH walked out of the bedroom.
    Felicia: This isn’t real! You died in the hospital!
    Mitch: Is that what you want me to do? You ain’t gettin’ rid of me that easily.
    We faked Mitch’s death because we have a hunch who the shooter is, and that they would be coming after him, because a couple of days earlier, I was called to the station.
    POLICE STATION
    I went down there to speak with Toni Burrell and Jack Snyder.
    Jack: We have a hunch as to who is behind all of this.
    Toni: There’s a killer on the loose here.
    Rachel: Again.
    Toni: Not like Fax Newman. This one has an agenda.
    Jack: All the bullets this person used are from one manufacturer…in St. Croix.
    Rachel: I’ll never forget that place.
    Toni: Why?
    Rachel: Janice Frame was trying to kill Mac. We got into a scuffle and she died. Her son came back twenty years ago for revenge on my family. Oh my God. Evan Frame? Could he have been behind all of that?
