Tyrone is in the living room wearing sweatpants and a white A-shirt as he looks over some papers…and Marley walks in.

Marley: Hi.

Tyrone: Hey babe.

Marley: What are you doing?

Tyrone: Going over Allen’s case. His hearing is coming up soon.

Marley: Oh my. How’s it looking?

Tyrone (smiling): Now you know I can’t tell you that baby.

Tyrone gently kisses her on her cheek.

Marley: There’s something I need to ask you.

Tyrone: I will make the bed as soon as I’m done. I know it’s my turn today.

Marley: Although that would be very nice, that’s not what I was going to ask you.

Tyrone: Okay, well what is it?

Marley: I was wondering you would consider letting Allen live here until he found his own place.

Tyrone: What? Absolutely not.

Marley: Tyrone he’s your brother and my cousin. He’s family. Is this how you treat him?

Tyrone: Allen got himself mixed up in this mess with Reginald and Cory Publishing.

Marley: And you know why he was doing it. He was trying to protect his mother.

Tyrone: He had his own reasons why he agreed to be a mole.

Marley: Then why are you representing him if you think he’s guilty.

Tyrone: Because he is.

IRIS’S SUITE

Iris is on the phone with her grandson, Dennis, Jr. via facetime.

Iris: What’s going on with you?

Dennis, Jr.: I’m working but I wanna come spend time with you.

Iris: You don’t need to work. I’ll send you the money to come to Bay City.

Dennis, Jr: I wanna come live with you. I’m tired of all the curfews and chores.

Iris: Well, Dennis is your father and you have to abide by their rules. If you come to live with me, there will be rules you have to follow honey.

Dennis, Jr.: It’s almost like jail.

Iris: It can’t be that bad.

Dennis, Jr: Clean your room, mow the lawn, walk the dog. My goodness. I can’t take it grandma. Sarah comes by every now and then and helps but I gotta do it all.

Iris: How is Sarah?

Dennis, Jr.: Her opinion about you is the same as dad’s.

Iris (saddened): Oh, but at least you and I are keeping in touch.

Dennis, Jr.: Dad’s not gonna stop me from talking to you.

Iris (tears welling up in her eyes): I’m glad we can keep in touch. I love you honey.

Dennis, Jr.: Love you, too grandma.

Iris hangs up as she goes to answer the door. Amanda walks in after Iris opens it.

Amanda: What’s wrong with you?

Stacey confronts Lindsay in front of Gregory…

Lindsay: Mom…what are you doing here?

Stacey: We need to have a talk and we can’t do it here.

Lindsay: Gregory, this is my mom. Stacey Winthrop. Cass’s sister.

Gregory: Hi.

Stacey: You’re Gregory Hudson?

Gregory: That’s me.

Stacey: I remember you when you were practically a baby. You’ve grown up.

Gregory: You’re daughter’s amazing.

Lindsay: Hey I’m gonna have a talk with my mom.

Gregory: Sounds important. I’m gonna take off.

Lindsay: Call ya later?

Gregory: You got it.

They kiss on the lips and as Greg leaves, Stacey takes his place at the table.

Stacey: Do you think you should be involved with a patient?

Lindsay: That’s none of your business.

Stacey: Don’t talk to me that way.

Lindsay: Really mom? Pales in comparison to the way you’ve treated me.

Stacey: We have to talk Lindsay.

Lindsay (sighing): About what mom?

Stacey: You know what I’m talking about. If you pursue this, you’ll be making a huge mistake.

Marley: For God sakes Tyrone he is your brother. Didn’t you grow up together?

Tyrone: Allen resents me for the way my mother treated him when he came to live with us after he left boarding school, and I don’t want him in here.

Marley: It wasn’t Allen’s fault that Reginald paid your father to take him away and send him to boarding school.

Tyrone: It’s no excuse for the way he’s turned out.

Marley: I lost so many years with my sister, and you grew up with your brother, and you don’t want him in the same house with you!

Tyrone: He’s got you fooled doesn’t he? He’s not the good hearted that he portrays himself to be.

Marley: He’s never had a sense of family and I’m not gonna turn my back on him.

Tyrone: So you’re willing to help Allen even if I don’t want you to? Even if causes problems between us?

Marley: That’s not fair.

Tyrone: I can’t believe what I’m hearing right now.

Tyrone gets up and Marley is surprised.

Marley: Where are you going?

Tyrone: I’ll be back.

Iris: I was just on the phone with Dennis, Jr.

Amanda: Your grandson. How is he?

Iris: He’s okay. I’m touched that you would ask about him.

Amanda: Why wouldn’t I? He’s family.

Iris: He’s Mac’s great-grandson. I know this isn’t a social call though.

Amanda: I need your signature.

Iris: For what?

Amanda: A second person to contest the sale of daddy’s company.

Iris: As if you had to ask that question.

Iris signs the papers and Amanda takes them.

Amanda: I’ll file these with the court tomorrow. Mom’s not gonna be too happy when she gets them. We’re gonna get controlling interest back in the family.

Amanda leaves.

Iris: No Amanda, I’M gonna get controlling interest of Cory Publishing.

Lindsay: Finding my father is a mistake?

Stacey: He has a family and he’s happy, and you would disrupt it by springing this on them.

Lindsay: I just want to meet him and get to know him. Is that so wrong mom?

Stacey: I’m trying to protect you. I don’t want you to get hurt.

Lindsay: The only person you’re protecting is yourself. What do you have to hide? Is it the fact that you cheated on dad?

Stacey: I never cheated on Derek. We were broken up.

Lindsay: Sure mom.

Stacey: Derek is your father in every way that counts.

Lindsay: Derek Dane is always gonna be my dad, but I want to meet my biological father, and I don’t really understand why you’re trying to stop me.

Stacey: You’re making a mistake. You’re going to get hurt.

Lindsay: Well that’s my decision to make isn’t it? Just like you decided to keep the truth from me practically my whole life. You make me sick.

Lindsay gets up and storms off.

Stacey: Lindsay! Come back we’re not done. What the hell am I gonna do?

Meanwhile, Lindsay gets a phone call.

Lindsay: Hello? (beat). Ok send it.

Lindsay receives an email on her phone and it’s the DNA test results.

Lindsay: It’s true…Jake McKinnon is my father.
