    RECAP EPISODE OF ANOTHER WORLD
    The takeover of Cory Publishing –
    Rachel and Amanda hired Allen Lovett, who has been working with Reginald Love to force Rachel to sell Cory Publishing. It was also revealed that Iris, Rachel’s ex-stepdaughter, was masterminding the whole takeover from prison. As part of the plan, Reginald got Iris’s release hearing moved up quickly, so there was no time for Rachel and Cass to form a strategy. Rachel decided not to testify against Iris to keep her incarcerated, so Iris was released. Allen has been leaking information to Reginald about the sale of Cory Publishing. Rachel got wind of it and Allen was arrested for corporate espionage. Allen did not count on developing feelings for Amanda. Rachel has decided to sell due to declining financial standing and growing debt. Who will she sell it to?
    Michele’s death
    The McKinnons suffered a great loss when Michele McKinnon died as a result of injuries due to being struck by a car. Bridget, her twin sister, schemed against her to make her jealous. Bridget stole vodka out of Reginald’s cabinet, brought it to the prom, and spiked Cory’s drink. Bridget kissed Cory Hutchins and Michele saw them. As Vicky, Jake, and Reginald arrived, Bridget and Michele’s fight went on to the street, where Michele stumbled and was struck by an oncoming vehicle. After her heartfelt goodbye, Vicky has banished Bridget from the house, and this has caused a major rift between her and Jake. Will their marriage survive?
    Grant’s shooting/Sharlene’s memories
    Grant was shot while announcing his candidacy for Senate some years ago, and Sharlene saw the shooter. This same person also killed Joe Carlino, which brought Frankie Frame back to town. Frankie vows to find who killed Joe, who was a good friend of hers. Sharlene does not remember the person who committed the crimes, but her memories have slowly been returning, much to the dismay of Grant, John, and the perpetrator. Sharlene was seeing Dr. Taylor to help unlock these memories. Grant knows who shot him. He did to win sympathy votes. Reginald and Iris also know about Grant’s scheme, and the person who shot him. John and Grant implored Dr. Taylor not to allow Sharlene to uncover these memories. Apparently, neither did the perpetrator, because Dr. Taylor was found dead in his office. Toni Burrell returned to investigate his murder, and learned Sharlene’s notes and Dr. Taylor were both missing, and she deduced that Sharlene is in danger. They also learned the shell casing from the bullet that killed Dr. Taylor is the same from the day Grant was shot. Toni feared that the killer will come after Sharlene. Will the killer get to Sharlene?
    OTHERS
    Grant and Paulina agreed to go to dinner together.
    Bridget is coming between Dante and Elizabeth’s relationship.
    Mitch and Felicia are getting married.
    Cameron Sinclair was held at gunpoint to sign divorce papers, ending his marriage to Amanda.
    Iris tried to poison Cory and Elizabeth’s minds against Rachel.
    Gregory became paralyzed after his car accident. An indirect result of his steroid abuse. Lindsay Winthrop, Cass’s niece, is his physical therapist.
    Charlie returned after flunking out of school, and she resents Frankie for staying away for a number of years.
    Tyrone and Marley had problems in the beginning, but he and Donna have dealt with temptation, which seems to be growing, and Allen has photos of his brother Tyrone and Donna is positions of temptation.

    Marley: How can I help?
    Vicky (crying): You being here is enough. I have nobody.
    Marley: That’s not true. You have me.

    LOVE MANSION
    Bridget walks in and Donna quickly approaches her.
    Donna: Where have you been?
    Bridget: I got a ride home from school.
    Donna: Maybe I need to have a driver waiting for you outside.
    Bridget: Oh my God, are you gonna have people watching me now?
    Donna: Apparently that’s what you need because you were supposed to be home an hour ago. I am not gonna have you walking in here whenever you feel like it.
    Bridget: Then maybe I need to move out!

    HUDSONS HOUSE
    Frankie sits on the couch next to Sharlene.
    Sharlene: Oh my God.
    Frankie: I just found out myself. She wants me to come see her, and I want you to come with me.
    Sharlene: Of course. I wanna see my sister.
    Frankie: It sounded like she wants to tell me something.
    Sharlene: She must be near the end.
    Frankie: I knew she had been sick, but I didn’t even think that it might get worse…and now I think she wants to tell me something.
    Sharlene: Let me get my purse. We gotta go.

    Vicky: I’m sorry I…I didn’t mean it like that…
    Marley: I understand. Jake and Bridget are not here.
    Vicky: Jake went out of town.
    Marley: At a time like this? Where did he go?
    Vicky: I have no idea. He didn’t tell me, and he hasn’t even called.
    Marley: I can’t imagine a reason why he wouldn’t.
    Vicky: Because he can’t stand to be in the same room with me.
    Marley: Could it have something to do with Bridget living at Donna’s?
    Vicky (sarcastically): How did you guess?
    Marley: You disowned her in front of everyone at Michele’s memorial.
    Vicky: You don’t understand Marley. When I look at her, and know what she’s done, she reminds of me of me back then. It’s scary.
    Marley: But don’t you think she’s grieving, too? When I…locked you in that basement, I never ever wanted you to die, and I don’t think Bridget wanted Michele to die either, despite what she had done previously.
    Vicky: The situations don’t compare. I forgave you for that. Michele is not going to be able to forgive Bridget. Michele is dead.
    Marley: And you sent her to live with Donna, and now Jake is gone.
    Vicky: He said he will come back if I let Bridget back in.
    Marley: You probably should do that…for the sake of your family. You and Jake have a great marriage. Don’t throw it away because of your pride. Your daughter and your husband need you…and you need them. Don’t let it tear you and Jake apart.

    Donna: And where are you gonna go Bridget? Back home? Your Aunt Marley’s?
    Bridget: You forgot about Grandpa Reginald.
    Donna: Marley and my father do not have any room for you, and your mother doesn’t want you back home.
    Bridget: Don’t remind me.
    Donna: Bridget this is for your own good. I have to be tough with you.
    Bridget: You’re doing this because you think I’m responsible for Michele’s death.
    Donna: I’m doing this because I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I and your mother made when we were your age.
    Bridget: I’m going upstairs.
    Donna (grabbing her arm, and eyes welling up): You wait. I want so much better for you, that’s why I’m tough on you now. You will understand it later.

    John is with Sharlene in the living room.
    John: I’m sorry about Emma.
    Sharlene: It’s our chance to say goodbye to her. She’s been sick for a while.
    John: Give Frankie my condolences.
    Sharlene: She’s waiting for me in the car.
    John kisses his wife. “Drive safely and call me when you get there.” He says. Sharlene leaves the house, and John takes out his cell phone, and calls Dr. Taylor.
    John: It went well? Good? I can’t have her remembering anything. Thank you.

    Iris receives a mysterious phone call
    In this episode – Rachel, Allen, Jake, Reginald, Iris





    CORY PUBLISHING
    Allen walks into Rachel’s office, and Rachel is sitting at her desk.
    Allen: Hey I saw Amanda’s office cleaned out. What happened?
    Rachel: I told her to take a leave of absence.
    Allen: Why?
    Rachel: I’m sorry but I do not have to explain my business decisions to you.
    Allen: Amanda works her ass off, and you tell her to take a leave of absence. You are REALLY a control freak.

    GENOA CITY, WISCONSIN…
    Jake is sitting at a table in the Athletic Club when someone walks up to him.



    Jake: Hello. I’m glad you could make it.
    Ashley: Jake McKinnon?
    Jake: You must be the lovely Ashley Abbott.
    Ashley Abbott sits down across from Jake, and she’s holding a file.

    REGINALD’S SUITE
    Iris walks in.
    Iris: What’s the problem?
    Reginald: You really should be more mindful of the company you keep.
    Iris: So are you sending people to watch me now? Or are you sending one of your watchdogs?
    Reginald: You’re joking, but I’m not, because if this ship starts to sink, you’re going down.
    Iris: And that would be a trip for two, because you would be going with me.

    Rachel: Excuse me?
    Allen: I didn’t stutter.
    Rachel: You know all this stuff with those writers being signed on, and then pulling out. I wonder if you know something about that…since you signed them on.
    Allen: Are you accusing me of something Rachel?
    Rachel: I’m just thinking out loud.
    Allen: What you did to Amanda was a big mistake. She’s a smart business lady, and she knows what she’s doing, and you need to stop trying to run her life.
    Rachel: You don’t tell me what to do Mr. Lovett, and you can show yourself out of my office.
    Rachel gets a phone call, as Allen leaves, but he stops outside the door….
    Rachel (on the phone): What? You can’t be serious! Oh no. We don’t have a choice. We’re gonna have to sell.
    Allen has overheard Rachel and leaves.

    Ashley: McCall.
    Jake: Sorry…Mrs. McCall. You got what I want in that file?
    Ashley: What’s in here can’t go beyond this table. This is confidential.
    Jake: Of course not.
    Ashley: As soon as you said Allen Lovett my ears perked up, but I don’t want to subject Jabot to any lawsuits by releasing this information, but I had your P.I. firm checked out by Paul Williams. You’re fine.
    Jake: Well you’re not giving it to me. You’re taking that file back to the office.
    Jake takes out his camera phone as Ashley slips him the file, as Jake started taking pictures.
    Ashley (lowering her voice): When he worked in our finance department, money started going unaccounted for.
    Jake: You didn’t bring any charges against him?
    Ashley: The money was always miraculously replaced so we couldn’t prove anything.
    Jake: Really? I mean how much was missing?
    Ashley: Thousands and thousands of dollars.
    Jake: Wow. He’s a slick one isn’t he?
    Ashley: I’d say so.
    Jake: He’s got to be stopped before he does this to someone else.

    Reginald: Iris my dear, this is all your grand plan to take over your father’s company.
    Iris: And you’re involved with Grant’s shooting.
    Reginald: I didn’t shoot Grant.
    Iris: You’re an accessory. You have just as much to lose as I do.
    Someone knocks on the door. Reginald answers and Allen walks in. “Rachel is going to sell.” He says.
    Reginald: Wow. You’ve outdone yourself haven’t you?
    Iris’s cell phone rings. “I have to take this outside.” She says running out the door.
    Allen: So?
    Reginald: So what?
    Allen: What about my mother?
    Reginald: You’re not done yet Allen. I will have your mother released…when Cory Publishing is sold.

    Iris (in a low voice): What the hell are you doing in Bay City? Sharlene Hudson is being taken care of. You don’t have to go around town following her! Don’t worry about Reginald. I will handle him. You’d better get out of town before you’re caught!

    RACHEL’S OFFICE
    Rachel is on the phone.
    Rachel: What do you mean no? We have banked with you for a number of years and you can’t give us another line of credit? Nobody’s been more loyal than we have, and we’ve always paid back what we’ve borrowed.
    Amanda walks in as Rachel continues her conversation.
    Rachel: I will write a letter to your C.E.O. because this is ridiculous.
    Amanda: You called? What’s wrong?
    Rachel: That is the fifth bank I’ve called to see if we can borrow money. They won’t give us what we need.
    Amanda: There’s got to be something.
    Rachel: Maybe, but first I have something to tell you. I want you to take a leave of absence.
    Amanda: No mom I won’t do that.
    Rachel: Amanda, this isn’t a request.

    HOSPITAL:
    Gregory has wheeled himself into a room around with Lindsay close by.
    Lindsay: Good session today.
    Gregory: Yeah.
    Lindsay: You okay?
    Gregory: No. Not at all.
    Lindsay: You’re making good progress.
    Gregory: And what’s Michele doing huh? You heard what Vicky said. She was right. I am responsible for her daughter’s death.-

    BAY CITY CENTER
    Iris is on the phone…
    Iris: Yeah I was released. Oh you saw it on the news. You know all I thought of were my grandchildren. I was hoping I could…well…speak to them. Oh they’re busy. Can I just say hello real quick? I…I understand. Tell them I love them, and I love you Dennis.
    A deeply disappointed Iris goes and sits at the bar.
    Iris: Scotch on the rocks please.
    Grant, who is reeling from Paulina’s hesitancy to let him in, joins her. He looks at Iris, and says “Make it a double.”

    Amanda: Look I understand that we’re going through a tough time---
    Rachel: A tough time? We will go under if we don’t get some money, and we got in this situation because of your decision to approve those buyouts.
    Amanda: How can you say that? Those writers were pulling out. Would you rather have gone to court over lawsuits? We would definitely have been wiped out. I had to make a decision!
    Rachel: A decision that may cost us your father’s company.
    Amanda: You’re telling me to take a leave has nothing to do with dad. It is all about your need to be in control.
    Rachel: Someone needs to make sound decisions around here!
    Amanda: Really mom! Your decision to marry a man who tried to kill my father and kidnap you wasn’t the BEST one you’ve ever made!
    Rachel: Are we on that again? You really should let that go Amanda!
    Amanda: It’s funny you mention about things being let go, because everything that you THINK you’re in control of…is falling apart!
    Amanda storms out…

    Lindsay: Greg I…I don’t know what to say.
    Gregory: You don’t have to say anything. I saw Michele and her family gathered there at her memorial, it hit me. I realized what my steroid use had done. I killed someone.
    Lindsay: Didn’t the police rule it an accident?
    Gregory: I tried to get out of the way…but…but I couldn’t. I didn’t mean it.
    Gregory starts shaking his head as if to be overcome with guilt, as he recounts the moments before the car he was driving struck Michele.
    Gregory: I didn’t mean it! What have I done Lindsay? I’m a killer!
    Gregory starts crying and Lindsay hugs him.

    Iris and Grant have had a bit to drink at this point…
    Iris: You know my own SON won’t let me speak to my grandchildren.
    Grant: I can’t believe it.
    Iris: I mean he wouldn’t even let me say HI to them. If it weren’t for me, Dennis wouldn’t be here.
    Grant: And what does that mean to them when they grow up?
    Iris: Nothing. They just get on their high horses and forget that you provided them with the best things in life when they couldn’t fend for themselves.
    Grant: Well my son seems to have forgotten that, too. He can’t stand me either. He sides with his mother.
    Iris: Vicky? I hear she’s been a tornado.
    Grant: She always has been. She’s definitely made my life hell, but yet my son sides with her. And Paulina…
    Iris: My half sister---
    Grant: One of Mac’s bastard children…she can’t see a good thing when it’s right in front of her.
    Iris: Oooh you’ve got the hots for her.
    Grant: I have taken care of her and her son since Joe was killed, and she only thinks of me as a friend. Ingrate!
    Iris: I’m surprised. Paulina used to like bad boys. There was Jake, and Ian Rain. Joe was a bit puzzling to me though.
    Grant: Well I got bigger fish to fry.
    Iris: So do I…here’s to…sharks instead of trout…
    Grant: Big fish.
    As the two glasses clink, Reginald watches them in the background.

    Paulina opens the door, and Grant is there holding a bouquet of flowers to Paulina’s surprise.
    Grant: Would you mind putting these in some water?

    Frankie is at her desk thinking about her last conversation with Charlie, and Cass walks in.
    Frankie: Cass?
    Cass: How are you?
    Frankie: I’m okay I guess. How about you?
    Cass: I’m fine. Look I’m just gonna cut to the chase. Charlie told me about your last conversation. Didn’t go too well did it?

    MCKINNONS HOUSE
    Jake walks in while Vicky sits on the couch...
    Vicky: Coming to get your things?
    Jake: As a matter of fact I am. I’m going out of town for a while.
    Vicky: How could you do this? We just buried our daughter and you’re going out of town?
    Jake: Where do you suggest I stay Vicky?
    Vicky: Here! With your wife?
    Jake: And Bridget?
    Vicky stays silent, staying steadfast in her refusal to let Bridget come home.
    Jake: How can YOU do this to Bridget? I can’t stay in the same house with you!

    Paulina (putting the flowers in a vase): These are so beautiful.
    Grant: Only for you.
    Paulina: Thank you.
    Grant (pecking Paulina on the cheek): You’re welcome.
    Paulina: So…what brings you by?
    Grant: Well I didn’t come to see Dante.
    Paulina: You like my house then?
    Grant: Your house is pretty nice, but don’t you wanna…spend some time outside of it?
    Paulina: However do you mean?
    Grant: A nice dinner at Tops…a walk on the riverfront.
    Paulina: Plenty of flowers huh?
    Grant: Yes…plenty of those.
    Grant kisses Paulina but she doesn’t return it. “I…I can’t.” she replies.
    Grant: Not tonight.
    Paulina: Not…in the near future. You’ve been a great friend, but I am not going out with you. I’m sorry.
    Grant: Why not?
    Paulina: I’m not ready Grant.
    Grant: Is it Joe? When are you going to move on? Joe is dead!
    Paulina: How dare you talk about my husband like that!?
    Grant: I have done some unsavory things in my life, but so have you. Dammit I’m falling in love with you Paulina. I don’t know what else to do.
    Grant storms out, and Paulina stops him.
    Paulina: Grant don’t leave.
    Grant: Why should I stay? You’ve made it clear how you feel.

    Frankie: No unfortunately it didn’t.
    Cass: She was really devastated.
    Frankie: I saw that Cass, you don’t have to remind me.
    Cass: I was, too.
    Frankie: You shouldn’t be. You were happy with Lila and Jasmine. You moved on.
    Cass: You let us think you were dead for years, and you just show back up in Bay City! How do you think I’m supposed to feel?
    Frankie: I don’t know Cass. How was I supposed to feel when I saw you with another woman. We overcame so much. Kathleen coming back from the dead; Cecile and her lies….even a stalker. I come back to town and you had already moved on. Staying away was the RIGHT thing!
    Cass: No it wasn’t. Especially not for Charlie.
    Frankie: I realize that now, and I apologized to her.
    Cass: What about me? You owe me one, too.
    Frankie’s cell phone rings.


    Frankie: Is that what you came here for? Charlie tells you that she got her feelings out, and now it’s your turn? Well you know what, I don’t need the aggravation.
    Cass: I don’t care if you’re irritated. Charlie wasn’t the only you hurt by staying away.
    Frankie (answering her cell phone): And you hurt me by moving on so quickly! Hello? Oh…Oh my God. Okay. I’ll be right there.
    Cass: What happened? Is everything okay?


    Frankie (concerned): It’s my mother. They said she wants to see me right away.

    Vicky: That’s not fair.
    Jake: Not fair? You’ve really lost touch with reality. How are we gonna work anything out if you don’t even want the only child we have left in the house?
    Vicky: You’re still in denial about what Bridget is capable of.
    Jake: I’m outta here!
    Vicky: Have a nice trip! But you might not be welcome when you get back.

    Rachel opens the door…
    Rachel: Felicia! Come on in.
    Felicia: How have you been?
    Rachel: You don’t know the half of it my friend.
    Felicia: That doesn’t sound good.
    Rachel: It isn’t. Mac’s company is in big trouble, and I don’t know what else I can do to get us out.

    LOVE MANSION
    Bridget opens the door and gets a huge surprise…
    Bridget: Cory? What are you doing here?
    Cory: I had to come.
    Bridget (puzzled): Um are you here to see my grandmother or something?
    Cory: No…I came to see you.

    DR. TAYLOR’S OFFICE
    Sharlene lies on the couch, while Dr. Taylor sits across from her in his office chair.
    Sharlene: I’m really nervous about this.
    Dr. Taylor: You don’t have to be. There’s that doctor/patient confidentiality thing.
    Sharlene: Yeah right. What if I remember something that could hurt someone else?
    Dr. Taylor: We won’t know until we find out right? Just try to relax. We’ll get to the truth one way or the other. If anything does come out, you won’t even know. You’ll be under hypnosis.
    Sharlene: I think…I’m ready.
    Dr. Taylor: On the count of three, you’ll be completely under. One, two, three….

    Felicia: What’s going on? Is there anything I can do? I know how much Cory Publishing meant to Mac and you.
    Rachel: The whole world. I feel like I’ve failed him. I couldn’t keep his company afloat.
    Felicia: I have some friends I could call.
    Rachel: We can’t afford to take on any more writers. We can’t afford anything.
    Felicia: My God you’re scaring me.
    Rachel: I may have to sell Mac’s company.
    Felicia: I’m so sorry.
    Felicia hugs Rachel and Rachel feels the bottom of Felicia’s engagement ring on her back, and Rachel holds up Felicia’s left hand to see it.
    Rachel: What’s this? Oh my goodness. No wonder you’re beaming.
    Felicia: He asked me to marry him.
    Rachel: That’s wonderful!
    Felicia: You're one of my closest friends. I want you to be my maid of honor.
    Rachel: Wow…maid of honor?
    Felicia (confused): Yes…seems like you’re hedging a little bit.
    Rachel: I’ve got so much going on, but I could use the distraction. I would NEVER refuse to do you a favor such as that. Of course I will.

    Bridget: Me? I’m a very shocked.
    Cory: I saw how your mother treated you at the memorial. I just…had to come see how you were doing.
    Bridget: Oh so you feel sorry for me? You shouldn’t.
    Cory: Nobody deserves what your mother said to you.
    Bridget: I DO deserve it, after everything I’ve done. I mean, I got you drunk so I could make Michele jealous, and she died later. You should be angry with me. I can’t understand why you’re even here.
    Cory: Despite everything that’s happened, you’re Michele’s sister, and she loved you. We all miss her.
    Bridget: I have to live with this for the rest of my life. I would never want my own sister to die. I did some….things to her before the prom. I wanted what she had. She had brains, my parents’ favor, you.
    Cory: You were jealous.
    Bridget: Yeah that’s it, and my jealousy could destroy my family, and if YOU’RE not careful, my jealousy might destroy you, too.
    Cory: Well I want you to know…you’re not alone.
    Bridget: I have Donna, my dad, Aunt Marley, Tyrone.
    Cory: Anyone your age?
    Bridget: Not your sister. She hates me.
    Cory: I don’t hate you.
    Bridget: Even after what I’ve done?
    Cory: I think Michele would want me to be here for you, and that’s what I plan to do.

    Dr. Taylor: Sharlene? Can you tell me what else happened?
    Sharlene: There were people everywhere. All eyes were on Grant. He was announcing his candidacy for the Senate. He wants to serve the people of Bay City, so he says. Wait a minute, who is that? What’s he doing with that? Oh my God! I can’t believe what he just did! Joe I’m not leaving!
    Sharlene starts screaming and sweating. “Joe! No! He’s getting away! Is anyone gonna get him? Joe can’t die! Noooo! Paulina! Oh my head hurts! Dr. Taylor is making notes on his pad, but decides it’s time for her to wake up.
    Dr. Taylor: Okay on the count of three I will snap my finger and you will come out of it. One, two, three.
    Dr. Taylor snaps his finger, and Sharlene wakes up with sweat beading from her forehead.
    Sharlene: Oh my God. I remembered something didn’t I?
    Dr. Taylor (giving her a handkerchief): You did…you remembered something from when you were Sharly.
    Sharlene (blotting her forehead): You mean to tell me I didn’t remember anything from the day Grant was shot?
    Dr. Taylor: No I’m afraid you didn’t. You did mention something about headaches.
    Sharlene: I remember seeing Grant, and then the next thing I know I’m waking up in the hospital. Everything in between is a blank.
    Dr. Taylor (giving her pills): Take these. They should help in uncovering your memory of that day.
    Sharlene: Thank you Dr. Taylor.
    Dr. Taylor: Maybe next time we can try hypnosis again. I’m sorry it wasn’t successful this time.


    After Sharlene leaves, Dr. Taylor says to himself that the placebos he gave her should keep her from remembering anything.


    Sharlene leaves the office, and as she leaves, a shadowy figure walks up to Dr. Taylor’s office, then watches Sharlene leave.

    LOVE MANSION
    DONNA, TYRONE, and MARLEY are in the LIVING ROOM…
    DONNA: She was so young. It doesn’t even seem real.
    MARLEY: I know. I can’t believe what Vicky said though. That’s more unreal.
    TYRONE: She’s hurting. She’ll forgive Bridget.
    MARLEY: From the way Vicky sounded, you never know. I’m gonna go over there and talk to her. Are you gonna be okay Donna?
    TYRONE: I’ll stay with her.
    MARLEY (kissing Tyrone): I’ll see you later hun.
    MARLEY LEAVES WITHOUT HER CAR KEYS, WHICH ARE ON THE COUCH. EVERYONE IS UNAWARE. MARLEY WALKS OUT OF THE DOOR, AND ALLEN WATCHES HER FROM THE BUSHES, AND TURNS HIS ATTENTIONS BACK INSIDE, WHERE HE GETS A GOOD VIEW OF TYRONE AND DONNA.
    DONNA: It seems that you and Marley are in a better place.
    TYRONE: Yes I’d say so. We’re getting better. She seems to be getting better.
    DONNA: That’s great. At least someone in my family is happy.
    TYRONE: Where’s Bridget?
    DONNA: Upstairs.
    TYRONE: She’s living with you now huh?
    DONNA: I’m doing this for Vicky, but I really think Bridget should be home.
    TYRONE: After what Vicky said at the memorial, I think Bridget is the last person she wants to see.

    JAKE (angrily): You embarrassed us at the memorial! It was supposed to be for Michele and you made it about your anger toward Bridget and Gregory!

    VICKY: I had to bury my daughter today…because of my other daughter.
    JAKE: Did you ever stop to think that I lost a child, too? I’m hurting, too. Do you even notice that? No Vick, you are a one woman wrecking crew, and your anger toward Bridget is gonna destroy this family.
    VICKY: Did YOU ever stop to think that Bridget hasn’t taken any responsibility for what she’s done? She tried to get Cory Hutchins DRUNK at the prom! It doesn’t scare you what kind of person she’s turning into?
    JAKE: What I’m more afraid of is how our family is crumbling.
    VICKY: You’re talking about destroying our family, and YOU’RE the one walking out!
    JAKE: I want you to call Bridget and move her back in here, and you take back everything you said about disowning her. If you do that, I won’t leave.
    VICKY GIVES JAKE A BLANK STARE. “Right, just like I thought.” Jake says as he leaves with his suitcase.

    DANTE IS CLOSING A BOOK AND PACKING UP HIS KNAPSACK. WHEN HE GETS UP, IRIS APPROACHES.
    IRIS: Hello.

    DANTE: Yeah you’re my aunt.
    DANTE TRIES TO LEAVE BUT IRIS STOPS HIM…
    IRIS: I wonder what your mother has said about me.
    DANTE: Look I gotta go.
    IRIS: No wait. Why don’t we sit? Get to know each other. After all, we ARE family.
    DANTE: Look I know what you’re all about okay. I’m not gonna sit and have anything with you. I know you tried to have Cory and Elizabeth’s father killed, and you weren’t very nice to my mom when she came to Bay City, so I have nothing to say to you okay.
    DANTE LEAVES IRIS STANDING IN HER PLACE.

    Once again, reporters, press, and organizers are scurrying about as another press conference is about to take place. Dante is walking about and sees Bridget sitting at a table again, and decides to join her.
    Dante: Hey.
    Bridget (looking around): You’re not meeting your crazy girlfriend here are you?
    Dante (chuckling): No not today. Can I sit?
    Bridget: Sure. What brings you out here amongst all this?
    Dante: I’m here with my mom.
    Bridget: Where is she?
    Dante: No clue.

    BACKSTAGE
    Grant is preparing for his press conference and Paulina approaches him.
    Grant: What are you doing here? I have a press conference in a few minutes.
    Paulina: I came…to say I’m sorry.
    Grant: About what?
    Paulina: What I said the other day. I didn’t mean to hurt you.
    Grant: You shouldn’t apologize for how you feel Paulina.
    Paulina: That’s the thing, Grant. I don’t really know how I feel. All I know is that I can’t mourn Joe forever, and I would not mind going out to dinner with you.
    Grant (surprised): Really?
    Paulina (smiling): Yes.
    Grant: I would be honored.
    They hug.

    Allen knocks on the door. “Rachel!” he calls out, but gets no response, so he goes in, and locks the door. He goes directly to the drawer, picks the lock, and finds what he’s looking for…the sealed bids for Cory Publishing that arrived. He takes out a lighter so he can carefully heat the envelopes so they can be opened and re-sealed. “Here goes nothing.”

    Allen walks over to the desk with an envelope, and his laptop.
    Allen: I’ve got what you want.
    Iris: Those must be the bids.
    Allen: Yep. As soon as I download them, you’ll have them.
    Iris: And I’ll be able to make mine. I am so close to getting my father’s company back I can taste it.
    Reginald: Good work Allen.
    Allen: I’m doing this for my mother…not for either one of you.

    SHARLENE walks up and sees all the hustle and bustle at the Center, and begins to have flashbacks of the day Grant was shot.
    Dante: Look I’m…sorry about Lizzie.
    Bridget: What are you apologizing for? It’s not your fault she’s a total bitch.
    Dante: Hey. Come now she’s my girl.
    Bridget: You want us to be friends? That’s not gonna happen after what I did to her brother at the prom.
    Dante: You made a mistake. Everybody makes them right?
    Bridget: Look I appreciate the gesture, but I am not gonna be a sitting duck for Elizabeth to throw barbs at. If she comes at me, I’m gonna come back at her.
    Dante: Come on now. We all grew up together practically.
    Bridget: Yes we did, and I was raised not to crap from anybody, and I’m not gonna take it from Lizzie anymore.
    Paulina walks up to them.
    Paulina: Hi Bridget.
    Bridget: Hi Mrs. Carlino.
    Paulina: They’re about to start Grant’s press conference.

    Grant approaches it and begins his speech.
    Grant: Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for attending my press conference. As you know, I have an affinity for Bay City and its residents. As a senator, I don’t have the hands on access that I would have otherwise…if I was mayor. Therefore, I am announcing that I will be running for Mayor of Bay City.

    As the people applaud Grant’s announcement, SHARLENE starts to become agitated as she remembers something from her flashback. “You! You shot Grant!” she says as she is looking into the eyes of the shooter. Sharlene collapses and Paulina, Dante and Bridget run up to her.

    Cory sits in the living room teary eyed when Rachel walks up to him.
    Cory: How could we be saying goodbye to Michele? How could she be gone?
    Rachel: I know honey. I asked those same questions when your father died.
    Cory: It's not fair that Michele had to die.
    Rachel (consoling her son): Life isn't fair honey, as you'll soon learn.

    CARLINOS HOUSE
    Dante opens the door.
    Dante: Mr. Harrison.
    Grant: Hey Dante. Is your mother around?
    Paulina walks into the living room.
    Paulina: Grant. I'm surprised to see you today.
    Dante: I'm gonna go find my tie.
    Paulina (watching Dante head upstairs): So are you gonna have us taken by limo?
    Grant: That could be arranged. I was wondering if I could accompany you to the memorial.
    Paulina: I...really don't think that would be a good idea. Given the bad blood between you and Vicky, you'd probably would be the last person she'd want to see.
    Grant: Ouch. You know how to drive a stake through someone's heart don't you?
    Paulina: I'm a vampire slayer.
    Grant: I don’t disintegrate in the daytime.

    Paulina: Well that’s good to know. Listen, please understand. You’ve been so wonderful to us, but you cannot accompany Dante and me to the memorial. I don’t think it’s a good idea.

    AT THE CHURCH…IN THE FOYER…
    Mary is walking out of the bathroom…and runs into Reginald.
    Reginald: Marissa. You look beautiful as you always have.
    Mary: Thank you. You look well also.
    Reginald: I can’t believe we’re saying goodbye to Michele. She’s so young and had so much of her life yet to live.
    Mary: Jake and Vicky are devastated.
    Reginald: I loved her. I know you find that hard to believe after what I did to you. I had no right trying to keep you from your family.
    Mary: Reginald, Michele was your great-granddaughter. What you did in the past has no bearing on the present. I have long forgiven you for what happened back then. Today’s about Michele, and Jake and Vicky.

    Reginald (nodding): You’re right.

    Inside all the guests are seated, and Jake is speaking…
    Jake: I want to remember the good times. I should have known she’d be a brainiac. When she was little she tried to read Vicky’s romance novels. It’s like she knew what it was going to take to be successful. She got it. My daughter always studied. I can count on five hundred hands how many times Vicky and I would pick her up and drop her off at the library. She took her education seriously. I’m gonna miss my daughter.
    Bridget now speaks…
    Bridget: It’s funny how I was always the social butterfly, the outgoing one, the popular one. You think everyone would want to be like me, but the truth is, I wanted to be like my sister. She was so much more beautiful than I ever was, and she was my identical twin. Dad was right, she always was reading and studying. I mean she hardly ever wanted to play with my dolls.
    After a couple of people speak, Vicky speaks…
    Vicky: What more can I say about my baby? She had been accepted to Harvard and Columbia. That was one of the days I picked her up from the library. She wasn’t a complete nerd. She had a social life. She had a steady boyfriend, and she went to the prom…that’s the night…she was hit by that car.
    Vicky steps down, and approaches Bridget.
    Vicky: We won’t see Michele graduate from college, get a great job, meet a nice man, get married, have a baby…all because of you.
    Jake (jumping up): Vicky---
    Vicky: She will never experience the things that Bridget will get the chance to.
    John and Sharlene wheel in Gregory...and Vicky turns her wrath toward him.
    Vicky: And you were the driving the car that killed my daughter.
    John: And he’s sorry about it.
    Vicky: Sorry. SORRY! All the damn apologies in the world are not gonna bring my daughter back! I had to take her off life support…because of your son, and my other daughter Bridget!!!
    Donna: Victoria!
    Vicky slowly approaches with Jake attempting to shield Bridget…
    Vicky (pointing at Bridget, who is crying): As of today, you are no longer my daughter.
    Marley (quickly approaching Vicky): Vicky let’s go…now!
    Vicky: You’re NOT my daughter any more Bridget!!!
    All the guests are in shock, Bridget and Jake are embarrassed, and Marley escorts Vicky out of the church…

    Felicia shows him her engagement ring.


    Cass: Wow. Congratulations!


    They hug and Felicia then asks him to give her away at her wedding, and he willingly agrees.


    Felicia: Tell me what’s going on with you.


    Cass: It’s not me I’m worried about. It’s Frankie and Charlie…and their strained relationship.

    Rachel is in the living room when Elizabeth walks in.


    Rachel: Hi honey.

    Rachel: I’m not sure.


    Mitch walks in.


    Elizabeth: Talk about uncertainty. Hi Mr. Blake. Bye mom.


    Rachel: Mitch. Nice of you to stop by. Felicia told me about your wedding. Congratulations.


    Mitch: Thank you. You look like the weight of the world is on your shoulders.


    Rachel: That’s because it is.

    Bridget is on her cell phone.

    Bridget hangs up and looks up and sees Dante.


    Dante: Hey. Anyone sitting here?


    Bridget: No sit down.


    Dante: How have you been?


    Bridget: Good considering my sister died, and everybody except my dad and Aunt Marley holds me in responsible.


    Dante: I saw what your mom said to you at the Memorial. That must suck.


    Bridget: Gee thanks Dante. How are you and Elizabeth?


    Dante: We’re good. We’re meeting here.


    Bridget: Well I probably better go because she totally hates me.


    Elizabeth walks up to them.


    Elizabeth: Wow Bridget that’s the most sensible thing you’ve ever said.


    Dante: Come on Lizzie don’t start.


    Elizabeth: I can’t believe you’re even sitting at the same table with this lying, scheming bitch.


    Dante: That’s enough alright!

    Cass: I will always love her, but so much time has passed Felicia. I don’t know if a redux is in the cards. I just want her and Charlie to patch things up.


    Felicia: If it’s any consolation, Lorna and I couldn’t be any closer, but it sure didn’t start off that way.


    Cass: I know.


    Felicia: Lorna was so angry at me for such a long time, but we made amends, and I’m sure that Frankie and Charlie will do the same.

    Mitch: What’s going on?


    Rachel: I’m gonna have to sell Cory Publishing.


    Mitch: Whoa. Have you exhausted all options?


    Rachel: Of course I have. I have done everything I can to save Mac’s company, and there’s just nothing else I can do right now. We had to buy out several contracts and it just put us in such a hole.


    Mitch: Wow Rachel I’m so sorry. I know how much it meant to you. It’s like keeping Mac’s memory alive.


    Rachel: Now I have to sell it or declare Chapter 11.


    Mitch: My God. If there’s anything I can do.


    Rachel: Enough about me and my troubles. You’ve got a wedding coming up.


    Mitch: Yes. I…I came here because I wanted to know if you could…


    Rachel: Call Matthew? I already have. He said he will not be able to make it.


    Rachel’s cell phone rings.
    Rachel: Hello? Okay. Thank you.
    Mitch: Who was that?
    Rachel: That was my publicist. I’m having a press conference this week.
    Mitch: No.
    Rachel: Yes. I’m announcing the sale of Cory Publishing.

    Elizabeth: OMG are you really defending her right now?


    Dante: She just buried her sister. Will you cut her some slack?


    Elizabeth: Why should I? All she did was try to get my brother drunk at the prom and push her own sister in front of Gregory’s car.


    Bridget jumps up and approaches Elizabeth.


    Bridget: I didn’t push her!


    Elizabeth: Really? You got what you wanted though. You got your sister out of the way so you can be the center of attention, but it didn’t work! Your own mother doesn’t want anything to do with you!


    Bridget slaps Elizabeth, and Elizabeth slaps her back. The two begin fighting, and Dante separates them.


    Dante: Get off of her Lizzie!


    Dante turns to Bridget and asks if she’s okay, and Elizabeth can’t believe it.


    Bridget: I’m not taking any more of your abuse Elizabeth! Game on!


    Elizabeth: You stay away from Dante and my brother!


    Dante: Lizzie I think you need to go.


    Elizabeth: Wow Bridget. You got my brother and Dante coming to your rescue because your mother disowned you? Clever.


    Dante asks Bridget if she’s gonna be alright. “Yes.” She says.


    Dante: Let’s go Lizzie.


    Bridget: Elizabeth Hutchins is not gonna push me around any more.

    Reginald sips on brandy, and Iris hangs up her cell phone.
    Iris: It's done.
    Reginald: So the buyouts went through?
    Iris: Yes sir. I just checked all my accounts, and the money is there. You know what I feel like celebrating. Let's propose a toast.
    Reginald: To what?
    Iris: My daddy's company is on the fast track to being mine.
    Meanwhile outside the door, Allen gets ready to knock on the door, but all he can think about his kiss and sex with Amanda, and knocks on the door. Reginald answers and Allen walks in.
    Reginald: Allen what are you doing here?
    Allen: You gotta call it off.
    Reginald: If you're talking about our plan, well...
    Iris: That train has long left the station.
    Reginald: Interesting though...why the sudden change of heart?
    Iris: You know what, I'm gonna give you two some privacy.
    Reginald: Allen you have done so well. Our plan is working.
    Allen: I don't want to be part of this anymore. I want out.

    ALLEN wakes up and sees AMANDA sitting at the desk.
    Allen: What you doin over there?
    Amanda: We shouldn't have done this. We crossed the line.
    Allen: We crossed the line the other day when we kissed in your office.
    Amanda: I'm the C.O.O. of Cory Publishing. I just slept with the Marketing Director.
    Allen: You're quite perceptive, but not perceptive enough.
    Amanda: This is wrong.
    Allen: Why are you so conflicted?
    Amanda: My mother was right.
    Allen: Your mother your mother your mother. When are you gonna stop wondering what Rachel thinks, and start living your own life.
    Allen gets up, walks over to the desk, and massages her shoulders.
    Allen: If this is so wrong Amanda, why did you come over here? You didn't say a word to me when you arrived here. You went straight for the jugular.
    Amanda: She stripped all my power from me at the company. I have to run everything by her now.
    Allen: She makes you feel restricted doesn't she?
    Amanda: Yes. I'm fully capable of making sound decisions at Cory.
    Allen (whispering in Amanda's ear): I make you feel alive...important...wanted.

    Reginald: Been a long time since I had some good sex.

    Reginald: No suitable mates in Bay City.
    Iris: You mean you haven't tried to make a pass at my wicked stepmother?
    Reginald: Now you're really joking right?
    Iris: This is no laughing matter. I'm sorry about Michele.
    Reginald: I adored her. I adore all of my great grandchildren. I guess it's something I can get right.
    Iris: I know how that is. Dennis is not allowing me to speak to any of my grandkids.
    Reginald: That's unfortunate.
    Iris: Well I can't focus on that right now. My focus is getting my birthright....my father's company.

    Rachel: We hired him as Marketing Director at Cory Publishing.
    Jake: I thought you would've done a background check before you hired him.
    Rachel: And everything came back clean.
    Jake: I get the feeling this is more than a simple reference verification.
    Rachel: Yes it is. I want you to look into his past.
    Jake: May I ask why?
    Rachel: Strange things have been happening at the company since we hired him, and we are in danger, so much so that we might have to sell.
    Jake: And you think this guy's behind it?
    Rachel: My gut tells that there's something fishy about him. That's where you come in.
    Jake: Raich I gotta tell ya. Maybe you're overreacting just a little. He could be just a bad hire.
    Rachel: I had to take Amanda's power back. I thought making her C.O.O. would take her mind off of losing Cameron, and Alli being away.
    Jake: So you think he's taking advantage of her in some way.
    Rachel: He using her to get what he wants, and I need you to help me find out what that is, so I can stop him.

    ALLEN AND AMANDA lie in bed together.
    Amanda: I was conflicted earlier.
    Allen: About what?
    Amanda: I haven't felt this good since when I first met Cameron.
    Allen: Nobody deserves it more than you. You shouldn't be confined to a box and being told what to do. You are perfectly capable of making sound decisions.
    Amanda: My mother doesn't think so apparently.
    Allen: Look, I know she's your mother, but you are a grown woman. You cannot base your actions by what she says and thinks.
    Amanda: I have a confession to make.
    Allen: What's that pretty?
    Amanda: You do make me feel alive...and wanted...and important.
    Allen: And I like making you feel that way.
    Allen straddles Amanda's hair....
    Allen: Cameron's a fool to give you up, and your mother doesn't appreciate all the gifts you bring to the table.

    Reginald (sipping wine): Rachel consumes your every thought and action.
    Iris: Now that's not entirely true. I mean just about an hour ago, I wasn't thinking of Rachel at all. That would've been kind of gross.
    Reginald: Sure. Our whole alliance is based on your plot to take Cory Publishing from her.
    Iris: Well now now Reg, you have just as much at stake, if not more.
    Reginald: Is that right?
    Iris: Yes it sure is.
    Reginald: If it weren't for me, you'd still be rotting in a jail cell
    Iris: Getting that hearing date to be moved up so fast was truly a stroke of genius. I was even surprised at how quickly it came about. I suppose I owe you a debt of gratitude.
    Reginald: Oh you're going to repay me.
    Iris: Or should it be Grant that I repay?
    Reginald: Because he called those favors in to the Illinois and Texas governors. I suppose.
    Iris: I know you that you twisted his arm.
    Reginald: Because I know things he doesn't want to get out.
    Iris: About his son? Oh come on, I know that's not the only thing you have on the Senator.
    Reginald: And what would that be?
    Iris: Oh do you really want me to go over it?
    Reginald: You don't know anything.
    Iris: Oh but I do. I know that you know...who shot Grant the day of his acceptance speech...and Grant knows, too. You're an accessory to attempted murder.
    Reginald: Wow you have a vivid imagination.
    Iris: I'm making this up huh? Let's see how much more creative I can get, but I'll let you see if you'll tell me. Does Joe Carlino ring a bell?
    Reginald's facial expression becomes blank and concerned as Iris continues to spill...
    Iris: Oh I got your attention now. Joe Carlino was not shot while protecting Grant. He was murdered....in cold blood...right out there in front of everyone. How come nobody has solved that mystery yet? Oh I forgot, you've got the B.C.P.D. in your pocket.
    Reginald: I had nothing to do with Joe's murder. Whoever killed him did it on their own volition.
    Iris: My poor half sister and nephew are without a husband and father. I got a question for you though, why would Grant get himself shot again? He must enjoy having bullet wounds.
    Reginald: Votes. Regular votes, and sympathy votes. He would stop at nothing to get that Senate seat.
    Iris: And you agreed to help him. How sweet of you.
    Iris gets up, grabs her jacket, and heads for the door.
    Iris: I don't think I want to know how, but I have an idea.
    Reginald: You just worry your pretty little head about doing your part after you get control of Cory Publishing.
    Iris: You're awfully confident that you're gonna wrest that thing from Rachel. For your sake, you'd better. And when I get that control of my father's company, I will do fulfill my end of the bargain.
    Reginald: Making sure that the person who shot Grant...never talks.

    Jake: So...the memorial's tomorrow?
    Vicky: Yep. I told Donna and Marley.
    Jake: What about Bridget?
    Vicky: Jake, can we not go there right now? It's hard to try and prepare for this without thinking about Bridget.
    Jake: How are we gonna say goodbye to Michele, when we can't even agree on the daughter we still have.
    Vicky: Because you're in denial about what she's done.
    Jake: How long are you gonna hold it against her? She's hurting, too.
    Vicky: You haven't listened to a word I've said about this whole thing. Bridget did some questionable things before Michele's accident.
    Jake: And so did you. Have you forgotten what you were back then?
    Vicky: Oh you wanna rehash the past Jake! Weren't you a wannabe playboy who slept with my mother, shot by Paulina, and raped my sister when she turned your marriage proposal down!?
    Jake (building with anger): I'm gonna leave before I say something I regret.

    Grant: Let her try, you make sure that she doesn't remember anything about that day I was shot.

    Frankie and Charlie sit and sip coffee.
    Frankie: So how have you been? What's going on with you?
    Charlie: You know mom I'm not gonna fake it. It was hard enough to come and see you. We haven't talked in a long time.
    Frankie: I know and it's my fault.
    Charlie: Understatement of the year.
    Frankie (sighing): I guess there's no way I can make you understand why I stayed away.
    Charlie: I probably won't be able to put that together, but can you tell me why. Was it me? Was it something I did?
    Frankie: No...honey of course not. You could never make me stay away.
    Charlie: Then why did you let us think that you were dead?
    Frankie: I saw you, your father and Lila, and you all had moved on and I didn't want to interfere.
    Charlie: I loved Lila, and Jasmine is like a little sister to me, but she is not my mother. I wanted my mother back. Dad and Lila had to console me a lot of nights, because I was missing you.
    Frankie (eyes welling up): My God. I'm so sorry. I had no idea.
    Charlie: Dad missed you, too. You, dad and me were a family, and you decided you didn't want one.
    Frankie: Charlie it's not like that.
    Charlie: Well yeah it is mom. Your selfishness hurt dad and me, and you don't even see it. Staying away was not best for us, as you seem to think it was.
    Frankie: I love you. I just wanted my little girl and your father to be happy.
    Charlie: I'm not a little girl anymore.
    Frankie: You're all grown up. You're so beautiful.
    Charlie: And a failure. I flunked out of school mom. That's why I'm back in Bay City...living with dad.
    Frankie: Oh baby. Is there anything that I can do to help you?
    Charlie gets up.
    Charlie: I don't know mom. I really don't know how to answer that right now.
    Frankie: If you ever need me, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere.
    Charlie: Sure mom. I've heard that before.
    Charlie leaves and Frankie is hurt at the level in which she hurt her daughter.

    Frankie sits at her desk thinking about the way her conversation with Charlie turned out, and her well eyes well up.
    Frankie: Oh my little girl. I had no idea how much pain I've caused.
    Jake walks in and notices Frankie wiping her eyes quickly, but it's too late.
    Jake: Frankie? Have you been crying?
    Frankie: No...allergies. I'm gonna have to get a cleaner for the carpets.
    Jake: What's wrong?
    Frankie (eyes welling up again): I've been a terrible mother.
    Jake: Why are you saying that? Of course you're not a bad mother.
    Frankie: I just met with Charlie. I had no idea how much I've hurt her. I don't know if she'll ever forgive me.
    Jake: Well at least you still have a chance to make it right with your daughter. One of my daughters is gone, my other daughter is living with her grandmother because her mother doesn't want her around. Did you get all that?
    Frankie: Oh my goodness. Here I am moping about Charlie, and you're dealing with Michele's death. I'm so sorry.
    Jake: And things are getting strained between Vicky and me.
    Frankie: They say a loss of a child can test a marriage.
    Jake: We've never been tested like this before. I'm wondering if we're gonna make it.
    Frankie: If you want to make it, then you will. If anyone deserves happiness, it's you and Vicky.

    Benjamin: I'll do what I can but I can't make any guarantees.
    Grant: Well you better try. Your career depends on it.
    Benjamin: As you've said before.
    Grant: You just make sure Sharlene doesn't remember one single detail about that day, because I have a lot of pull, and it will be very very hard for you to get a job as a trash collector. You'll be living on the streets.
    Grant turns around and gets a shock.
    Grant: John? How long have you been standing there?
    John: I was hoping you were getting the help you so desperately need but I'm disappointed again.
    Grant: I was just leaving.
    John: Come on Grant, where are you running to so fast? I heard enough..
    Grant: Whatever you thought you heard, it's not what you think.
    John: Oh come on...I'm not stupid. I heard you telling Dr. Taylor here to make sure he helps suppress my wife's memories...and I'm in.
    Grant: Come again?
    John: Dr. Taylor, I don't want my wife to remember either. I'm afraid of what's going to happen to her.
    Grant: You're afraid of her D.I.D. resurfacing.
    John: If she remembers what happened, a lot of people could be hurt, most of all...her.

    Tyrone: Gotta be hard for you losing your niece.
    Marley: Harder for them to lose a child. I just hope that I can support them.
    Tyrone: We both will.
    Marley: Something to take your mind off that hearing.
    Tyrone: I feel weird about...representing Iris. Getting her out of prison. Rachel didn't even put up a fight in the courtroom.
    Marley: There's a method to her madness I'm sure.
    Tyrone: Given what Iris has done to the Corys in the past, she's the one who's going to be causing all the madness.

    Dante brings Elizabeth a snack.
    Elizabeth: Good thing the center has a roof.

    Elizabeth: Why? You're trying to keep your abs in tact so you can join the police academy?
    Dante: You got it. Are you trying to tell me you don't want to date an officer?
    Elizabeth: It's different between me and you.
    Dante: Is that right?
    Elizabeth: Yeah. I remember you when you were sliding down the slide, and you didn't anyone else to use it. It was your slide.
    Dante: I was selfish back then, huh?
    Elizabeth: Yeah you were.
    Dante: You weren't an angel either. I remember when your cook was baking a cake and we got a hold of the bowl.
    Elizabeth: Yeah yeah I got chocolate all over my face. I remember.

    They kiss as Iris watches them from a close distance.

    Vicky: I am so proud of what you'd become. A beautiful, intelligent, wise young lady.
    Michele: All thanks to you and dad. You raised me.
    Vicky: We also raised Bridget. She's responsible for this.
    Michele: No she's not mom. You can't blame her for what happened to me. It was an accident.
    Vicky: She was so jealous of you.
    Michele: I know, but she's sad, too. She never would kill me.
    Vicky: I know she didn't kill you, but it's the things that she did before that.
    Michele: I forgive her. I loved my twin sister with all my heart, and I know you do, too. You can't keep shutting her out mom.
    Vicky: I'm not shutting Bridget out. I can't stand to look at her. If it weren't for her scheming, you'd probably be on your way to Columbia in the fall.
    Michele: I was leaning toward Harvard, but I'm in a much better place now. I gotta go now.
    Vicky (beginning to cry): No! Don't leave me here! Talk to me!

    Lindsay walks into Greg's room with a wheelchair and approaches Greg.
    Greg: Oh God thank you. I'm ready to get started.
    Lindsay: When Dr. Hudson clears you, we can start.
    Greg: That's my dad.
    Lindsay: I gathered that.
    Greg: What are you doing with that? Are you gonna wheel me around the hospital?
    Lindsay: No. You are.

    Grant is having lunch with Paulina, as they sit across from one another at a table.
    Paulina: This is delicious.
    Grant: I'm glad you like it.
    Paulina: I won't eat too much, or you're gonna have me hooked on diet pills again.
    Grant: Paulina don't remind me of that. I'm ashamed of what I had done to you.
    Paulina: I'm just making a joke. The past is in the past. Dante and I thank you for what you did for him.
    Grant: Of course, I also do it for you. I love seeing the smile on your face.
    Paulina: You've changed. You're not the same Grant we used to know.
    Grant: And hate.
    Paulina: I love this one. I love you.
    Paulina leans in and they kiss...and is unexpectedly stopped.
    Kirkland: Oh my God. Paulina tell me you haven't fallen for this.

    Frankie: He's gonna get tired of lying in that bed.
    Sharlene: He wants to play football.
    Frankie: Well that's something that he's always wanted to do right?
    Sharlene: Yeah.
    Frankie: So what brings you by? What did you want to see me about?
    Sharlene: I've been having more memories.
    Frankie: About the day of Grant's acceptance speech.
    Sharlene: I was in the hospital. I saw Grant being wheeled in on a gurney, and Paulina crying.
    Frankie: Joe was also killed.
    Sharlene: Do you know if they police have any leads on the shooter?
    Frankie: No unfortunately they don't.
    Sharlene: It's been four years. You would think with today's technology that they would have found the person who did it.
    Frankie: Sometimes these things go cold.
    Sharlene: I'm remembering little by little...more and more. John said he is afraid of what will come out when I remember everything.
    Frankie: Have you ever thought about hypnosis?
    Sharlene: I have.
    Frankie: Maybe you can uncover what your subconscious is blocking out.
    Sharlene: I'm afraid, too Frankie. How many people will get hurt by what I remember?

    Lindsay: In the meantime how will you get around?

    Greg: You're my therapist.
    Lindsay: I'm here to help you get well and function, and hopefully walk again.

    Lindsay: I'm not gonna sugar coat it. There's a chance that you won't be able to walk, and I'm not here to stroke your ego or baby you. Follow my instructions, and you'll give yourself the best chance.

    Paulina: Kirkland! Oh my goodness!!! I'm sorry about Michele.
    Paulina embraces him.
    Kirkland: I'm great Paulina. I'm worried about you...and my dad?

    Paulina walks away and Kirkland faces his father.
    Grant: I'm sorry about your sister. I'm sure that's why you're here.
    Kirkland: Sure you are dad.
    Grant: Kirkland when are you gonna stop being hostile toward me. I'm your father.
    Kirkland: Sometimes I wish it was Ryan.
    Grant: Don't say that.
    Kirkland: I just don't trust you after everything you've done to mom, and I bet you're manipulating Paulina.
    Grant: I love Paulina.
    Kirkland: That's funny dad. Right after Joe Carlino was killed, you swoop right in and act like Paulina's hero.
    Grant: I've changed.
    Kirkland: You change as often as leopard spots.
    Grant: Paulina has changed me. She loves me, too. Is that so hard to believe?
    Kirkland: I feel sorry for her. Your love is poison. Look at your victims. Mom, Cindy.
    Grant: I'm not that person anymore.
    Kirkland: When Paulina realizes that you haven't changed at all, she's gonna be so hurt.
    Grant: I'm sorry that you feel that way son, but I am not going to let Paulina down.
    Paulina has overheard Grant's declaration, wondering if he will keep it.

    They hug each other tightly. "I'm so sorry mom." he says regarding Michele's death.
    Vicky: About what honey? I'm so glad you're home.
    Kirkland: I wish I could have been here sooner.
    Vicky: I'm so glad you're here. You've lifted my spirits.
    Kirkland: You heard from Steven?
    Jake: He sent flowers. He's not gonna be able to make it for the memorial.
    Vicky: He was really torn up when I told him about Michele.
    Kirkland: Of course he was. Where's Bridget?
    Vicky: She's right where she belongs...not here!

    CORY LIVING ROOM
    Rachel is livid after looking at her online statistics for Cory Publishing, and Amanda walks in.
    Rachel: Would you mind explaining this Amanda?
    Amanda: What?
    Rachel: There are seven buyout requests that you've approved. That's going to put us in a big hole.
    Amanda: We didn't have a choice mom. They all pulled out of their contracts.
    Rachel: Contracts that you approved without my consent.
    Amanda: I had to make an executive decision.
    Rachel: You were out celebrating with Allen, and now these same people who he signed are going to pull out.
    Amanda: How was I supposed to know that mom?
    Rachel: Because you made an emotional decision instead of an executive one.
    Amanda: Say what you're gonna say.
    Rachel: Your attraction to Allen. You've let it put your father's company into a huge hole that we may not be able to dig out of.
    Amanda: So you don't trust me?
    Rachel: From now on I will make all final decisions on contracts. Nothing gets approved without my consent.
    Amanda: So it's true, you're gonna strip all the power from me.
    Rachel: You have not proven that you're capable of handling it.
    Amanda grabs her purse and jacket.
    Rachel: Where are you going?
    Amanda: When it rains it pours doesn't it? I just got the final divorce papers from Cameron, and then you demote me. I don't think I can take much else.
    Rachel calls Amanda back after realizing that she may have laid it on too thick, but Amanda has already left.

    Reginald opens the door to Iris, who walks right in.
    Reginald: What are you doing here?
    Iris: Hello to you, too big guy.

    Jake (interrupting): Bridget felt more comfortable living with Donna. She's torn up over her sister's death.
    Kirkland: I can imagine. She's at Donna's right?
    Vicky: Maybe seeing you might help her, because she needs it.
    Kirkland: Why is she even there? I mean I thought she would be here with you and Jake.
    Jake: Your mother didn't want her here. She blames Bridget.
    Kirkland: Mom Bridget would never kill her sister.
    Vicky: I know that she didn't kill Michele, but Bridget was very jealous of her, and she did some unsavory things.
    Jake: Can you excuse us Kirk?
    Kirkland: I'm gonna...head to Donna's and see my sister.
    Vicky (watching Kirk leave): You are in such denial about the things is Bridget is capable of. That's why I don't want her in this house.
    Jake: She's not some random woman in the street, she's our daughter...and you speak about her like she's not.
    Vicky: It's the daughter part that scares me the most. The lengths she went to hurt Michele concern me.
    Jake: So sending her to live with Donna, which was mostly your idea, is gonna solve your concerns?
    Vicky: I need to clear my head about her.
    Jake: I don't understand this. We're a family. We need each other more than ever. Bridget needs to be here, with her parents.
    Vicky: I don't want her here right now.
    Jake: I am sick of you speaking of our daughter like this.
    Jake grabs his jacket. "Where are you going?" asks Vicky. "Out!" Jake angrily replies as he walks out the door.

    Allen: Amanda?
    Amanda walks in and takes off her coat. She shuts the door, says nothing, and kisses Allen passionately, who returns the favor.

    Reginald: This is risky. You can't be seen with me.
    Iris: We're behind closed doors. What's your fear?
    Reginald: Don't play coy. You know what I'm talking about.
    Iris: I had a little tete a tete with Rachel on the day of my release. Gets the blood flowing.
    Reginald: I bet it does.
    Iris: I will have to undo all the damage that she's done to my father's name and his company.
    Reginald: You will have your chance. It's almost done.
    Iris: They're so clueless. They don't even know that I set up phony writers, and they're gonna pay me.
    Reginald: Seems like a fool proof plan Iris. Just make sure you don't try to double cross me.
    Iris (walking up to Reginald): Now come on. You've been such a great help to me on the outside. Why would I want to do something like that? We're a team. What do I need do to convince you?
    Iris begins kissing him, and Reginald can't resist.

    Elizabeth comes downstairs, notices Mitch sleeping on the couch, and screams "Fire!", and Mitch jumps up.

    Elizabeth: Everything's fine here. I guess you'll be asking Felicia that when you get home.
    Mitch: It was late and I was tired, so your mom let me crash here.
    Elizabeth: But you could have gone home from the hospital, but you decided to come home with us. Is something going on between you and my mom?

    Cass answers the doorbell, and sees a familiar face, his and Frankie's daughter, Charlotte, otherwise known as Charlie.

    John and Sharlene tend to their son Gregory, who is lying in the bed, unable to move his legs.
    Gregory: I can't believe this happened.
    Sharlene: Why did you get so angry at your father?
    John: I was removing the hinges from his bedroom door.
    Gregory: He was invading my privacy.
    Sharlene: Well John why would you do that?
    John: Did you see the living room the other day when we came home?
    Sharlene: Yes he got angry because he was kicked off the football team.
    John: No...Sharlene, that's not why he's been getting angry.
    Gregory: Dad.
    John: It's not time she knew. Gregory's rages are a result of steroid use.

    Cass: Charlie...uh...come in. What are you doing here?
    Charlie: Nice to see you, too dad.
    Cass: My God, you must have been driving all night. You're probably tired.

    Cass: So how long are you staying till you go back to school?
    Charlie: Dad...um...I'm not going to back to school.
    Cass: Did I hear correctly? YOu're not what?
    Charlie: I've been ruled academically ineligible. I flunked out.

    As Sharlene walks to the elevator, she sees doctors and nurses walking, and has another flashback of Grant being wheeled in to the hospital after he was shot, and then another flashback of her standing over Paulina in tears, with Rachel holding Paulina.

    Charlie: Don't you think I know that? I've applied for courses at BCU.
    Cass: Okay that's a good start. You know your mother's back in town.
    Frankie walks up and taps Charlie on her shoulder.
    Frankie (eyes welling up): Do you wanna give your mother a hug?

    Bridget is in her bedroom and Jake walks in and sits on the edge of it. Bridget joins him and he wraps his arm around her shoulder as she leans her head into his chest.
    Bridget: Dad?
    Jake: Yes baby.
    Bridget: Do you blame me?
    Jake: For what? No...no I don't.
    Bridget: Mom does. She thinks I killed Michele.
    Jake: It was a terrible accident.
    Bridget: I would never try to kill my sister.
    Jake: You don't have to explain anything to me. We all loved Michele, and we're gonna miss her.
    Bridget: You look at me differently don't you?
    Jake: What do you mean?
    Bridget: Because of what I did. I took vodka from Grandpa Reginald's cabinet. I kissed Cory just to piss off Michele.
    Jake: You didn't push her into the street. The police ruled it an accident. Everybody knows you didn't push Michele into the street.
    Bridget: What about the driver?
    Jake: It was your cousin Gregory. He couldn't get out of the way in time.
    Bridget: Is he okay?
    Jake: He's paralyzed from the waist down.
    Bridget: Look at everything that I've done dad.
    Jake: Baby girl you have to stop blaming yourself okay. Nobody is at fault here.
    Bridget: I wish mom would believe that.

    The living room is full of cards and flowers. Donna comforts Vicky.
    Vicky: This is the worst feeling in the world.
    Donna: I can't imagine what I'd do if I'd lost you or Marley.
    Vicky: Children are supposed to live longer than their parents, and now we're gonna have to bury her. Guess it was nice of all the kids at school to send all these flowers and well wishes for Michele.
    Donna: Michele was loved and adored by everyone.
    Vicky: I guess everybody except her own sister.
    Donna: That's not true. Bridget loved her, too, and I'm positive that she did not mean for any of this to happen.
    Vicky: And the road to hell...
    Donna: Deep down you know that, too. You're trying to find someone to blame, but Bridget isn't the right person.
    Vicky: I don't want to even look at her anymore.
    Donna: Victoria you can't keep this up. You need to be strong for Bridget.
    Vicky: And I will, but not while she's here.
    Donna: What are you talking about?
    Vicky: I want her to come live with you for a while.

    Rachel is freshening up when Iris walks in...and locks the door. Rachel sees Iris in the mirror.
    Iris: It's been a long time Rachel.

    Charlie reluctantly gives Frankie a hug, making an already awkward situation more awkward.
    Frankie: So...umm...when did you get back?
    Charlie: I suppose I could ask you the same question.
    Frankie: Well...it's good to see both of you.
    Charlie: Leaving so soon mom. Are you gonna stay away like you did before?
    Cass: Charlie---
    Frankie: No, Cass, she has a right to be angry with me for staying away.
    Cass: She does not have the right to be disrespectful.
    Charlie: Are you serious right now dad? Mom chose to stay away for years, and now she thinks she can just pop up and pick up where we left off! It doesn't work like that!
    Charlie storms off. Cass calls for her but Charlie doesn't return.
    Cass: I'm sorry. I'll talk to her.
    Frankie: You don't have to. She's upset with me, and I don't blame her.
    Cass: Whether she's angry or not, she still needs her mother.
    Frankie: And I'm here. I always will be.
    Cass: You guys are gonna need to sit down and talk.

    Jake: Your mother is upset about Michele's death.
    Bridget: So am I. She was my sister. I loved her.

    Iris: I plan to enjoy my freedom. I'm not gonna mess it up.

    Iris: For what it's worth, I didn't want Carl to be shot. Evan changed the bullets.
    Rachel: And you took the fall. How noble of you.
    Iris: I'm trying to make a peace offering.
    Rachel: I don't want it! Anything you have to give is tainted.

    Rachel: I don't trust you Iris. I never will.

    John: Actually your body is healing quickly.
    Greg: So when can I start physical therapy?

    John: Thanks for standing by me in there.
    Sharlene: We're presenting a united front for Gregory, but make no mistake, I am furious with you.

    FELICIA is in the living room on her laptop, and MITCH walks out to greet her.
    Mitch: Good morning.
    Felicia (not looking at Mitch): Morning.
    Mitch: Felicia what's gotten into you the last couple of days?
    Felicia: Umm I don't know...
    Mitch: Ever since the prom night you've been acting strangely.
    Felicia: No Mitch, you didn't come home, and I don't appreciate that.

    BRIDGET comes downstairs and DONNA is in the living room.
    Bridget: I forgot how big this house is.
    Donna: A lot of things happened in here.
    Bridget: Like what?
    Donna: Like the talk I'm going to have with you. Sit.

    John: Can you at least try to understand why I didn't say anything about it?
    Sharlene: I have tried, and I can't. I'm his mother. I gave birth to him. Do you know how much it hurts me to see my son in there unable to walk. This could've been prevented if you had said something to me.
    John: It hurts me,too. Would you have been able to stop him from getting in that car and racing off in one of his steroid rages?
    Sharlene: We could have gotten him help. Michele McKinnon might still be alive.
    John: I didn't want anything else to upset. The night we came home and found Greg in a rage should lead you to understand why I didn't say anything about him using steroids.
    Sharlene: Why? I'm his mother. I should know what's going on with my son.
    John: And you should've seen what happened that night. You had another memory, and you look you're in pain when you have them. I'm afraid of what's gonna happen when you remember everything about the day Grant was shot.
    A YOUNG LADY WALKS UP TO JOHN AND SHARLENE...
    Young Lady: Is this Gregory Hudson's room?
    John: Yes.
    Young Lady: I'm Lindsay Winthrop. I'm gonna be his physical therapist.
    Sharlene: Winthrop? You related to Cass?
    Lindsay: Yep that's my uncle.
    John: Is Morgan your father?
    Lindsay: Nope that's my uncle, too. Stacey's my mother.

    Mitch: It was late, and I was tired, and I wanted to help with the kids.
    Felicia: It seems you forgot you had a lady at home waiting for you.
    Mitch: I didn't.
    Felicia: Well apparently, you did. I appreciate you helping Rachel. She's a dear friend of mine, but not at the expense of us.
    Mitch: Oh come Felicia. I love you, not Rachel.
    Felicia: I know that Mitch, but I thought it was a bit inappropriate.
    Mitch: Yes it may have been. I was just trying to help Rachel.
    Felicia: And that's why I love you, but I am here, and I need you.
    Mitch: And you've got me.
    THEY KISS and MAKE UP...

    Bridget: She was my sister, I would never hurt her. I certainly didn't want her to die.
    Donna: I understand that, but what you did before her accident, was absolutely irresponsible and you should be ashamed of yourself.
    Bridget: I am Donna.
    Donna: Well I don't see it. You stole vodka from Reginald's suite. You tried to keep Michele's acceptance letter from her. You didn't want kill Michele, but you not wanting to hurt her, is a lie.
    Bridget: How can you say this to me?
    Donna: Honey you have to own up to what you've done. You did try to hurt your sister, and now you don't even have the chance to make it up to her. You have to live with that guilt for the rest of your life.
    Bridget: So you are blaming me.
    Donna: I am blaming you for the things you did to hurt your sister.
    Bridget: Is that what you brought me here for? To berate me?
    Donna: No baby. I love you, and I want you to be a stronger woman than I or your mother were when we were younger. You are so beautiful and so much more going for you. You don't have to stoop to those levels to get attention.
    Bridget: Well Grandpa Reginald said I have to demand attention.
    Donna: And look what happened...your sister is dead. Take a good look at yourself, and what you've done. The way you'll get attention, is by being a beautiful, strong young lady that I know you can be.

    Amanda (wiping her eyes): Nothing.

    Amanda: It's fine...really. We got work to do.
    Allen: You try to be so tough, just like your mom.
    Amanda: Try is the operative word.
    Allen: But there's someone underneath who likes to unwind and have fun.
    Amanda: Look there's nothing wrong with me, now go check on your people and make sure they're doing what they're supposed to do okay.

    HOSPITAL
    Donna and Marley wait in the waiting area.
    Marley: Have you heard from Vicky?
    Donna: Not since she told us about today.
    Marley: She's gonna need us Donna.
    Donna: I know. This is so hard for her, Jake, Bridget...for all of us.
    Marley: Right.
    Donna: Where's Tyrone?
    Marley: He had court today.

    Michele lies in her hospital room on life support and Reginald walks up to her, and sits beside her.
    Reginald: My sweet little great-granddaughter. This isn't fair. You had a choice of Columbia or Harvard. You know what, I bet you were going to choose Harvard, because your sister would have chosen Columbia. Columbia's in New York, and you're not all for that hustle and bustle like Bridget is. Your great grandfather has done some questionable things in his life, but one thing's for certain, I absolutely adore you. I would have done anything for you. I had no idea that Bridget would do what she did. I guess she's more like me.
    Reginald's eyes water and a couple of tears fall down his cheeks...as Vicky approaches the door unheard by Reginald.
    Reginald: You shouldn't be going anywhere. You got too much life ahead of you. This isn't right. All the things I've done, I should be where you are, and you have too many people that love you.
    In a very rare moment, Vicky comforts Reginald, who gets up from Michele's bedside. Jake, Donna, Marley, Bridget, and John all walk in. Reginald gets a phone call. He takes the call outside of the room and he is not pleased. He learns the Judge Parker fell ill and he will not preside over Iris's hearing. "This can't be!" he exclaims.

    COURTROOM
    Rachel walks in with Paulina.
    Paulina: Where's Amanda?
    Rachel: She's at the office. I told her to stay there and run things.
    They approach Cass at the front of the court.
    Cass: Are you ready?
    Rachel: As ready as I can be.
    Paulina: I can't believe they're considering letting her out after all she's done.
    Tyrone walks in with his briefcase and goes to the defense's table as the guards escort Iris to the table next to Tyrone. "All rise!" says the Balliff as Judge Davis takes her place.
    Judge Davis: This proceeding is to determine whether or not Iris Carrington should be released from prison...and why she shouldn't be released. Counselor Montgomery state your case for the defense.
    Tyrone: Your honor. I'm here to present that Iris Carrington is not a threat to society if she is released from prison. I have recommendations from the warden, that she has been a model citizen during her incarceration, and a letter from the Governor of Illinois and Texas.
    The balliff retrieves the documents and gives them to the judge. Tyrone as she looks them over.
    Tyrone: Before she was incarcerated your honor, she was not the person who shot Carl Hutchins. Her criminal record was for the most part clean aside from a few parking tickets. Based on the recommendations and her previous record, I petition the court for Iris Carrington's release. Nothing further your honor.
    Judge Davis: Counselor Winthrop. State your case why Iris Carrington should not be released.
    Cass: Your honor it's been well documented that Iris Carrington has tormented the Corys for quite some when she was a free woman. The conspiracy to commit murder not withstanding, she orchestrated a takeover attempt as the Chief, from her father's company, Cory Publishing. I have witnesses here who can testify what Iris has done to them.
    Rachel gets up and says she will not testify, much to Cass's and Paulina's unpleasant surprise.
    Paulina: Rachel are you crazy?
    Rachel: I know what I'm doing. Cass tell the judge I'm not testifying.
    Cass: Your honor. My witness has declined to testify against Iris.
    Judge Davis: Mrs. Hutchins, are you sure that you do not want to tell us why Ms. Carrington should remain incarcerated?
    Rachel: She's paid her penance.
    Judge Davis: Okay. Well based on today's proceedings, I hereby announce the release of Iris Carrington from incarceration. Ms. Carrington you are free to go.

    Amanda is in her office crying, and Allen catches her this time.
    Amanda: I'm sorry.
    Allen: Amanda I'm not gonna let you slink out of this one.
    Amanda (giving Allen the envelope she received): This.
    Allen: Who's Cameron Sinclair?
    Amanda: As of today, he's my ex-husband. That paper you just read says it.
    Allen: Wow. I'm sorry Amanda.
    Amanda: We've been separated for a couple of years, but there's such a finality to this. The divorce is final.
    Allen: I've never seen you like this.
    Amanda: Like what?
    Allen: Vulnerable.
    Amanda: If you've gone through a divorce then you might know how this feels.
    Allen: As a matter of fact I do. It's funny that you go through all that you go through to dissolve the marriage, but you still love them.
    Amanda: Do you love your ex-wife?
    Allen: I think a part of me always will, that's why I married her.
    Amanda: I thought Cameron was the love of my life. I made so many mistakes with other men. I thought I finally had found happiness with Cameron...
    Allen comes closer to Amanda. "If I got through it, you'll get through it, too. I'll help you." They embrace, face each other, and kiss.

    HOSPITAL
    The moment that the McKinnons, Loves and Hudsons have dreaded has arrived. Jake, Vicky, Bridget, Donna, Marley, Reginald, and John convene in Michele's hospital room. Michele is on life support.
    Jake: Hey kid. It's your dad.
    Vicky: Mom's here.
    Jake: I can't believe this.
    Vicky: This is goodbye.
    Jake and Vicky each lean in and kiss Michele on her forehead. Vicky gives Jake a CD and he puts it on. "We're gonna play your favorite song when you were a kid." says Vicky. Her favorite song is Whitney Houston's "The Greatest Love of All." As the song plays, Bridget, Donna, and Marley say their goodbyes. John says goodbye to his brother's granddaughter. As the song ends, Jake and Vicky nod at John, giving him the okay to shut off the life support, and he does so, and Michele is officially declared dead.

    CASS'S OFFICE
    Rachel walks in and confers with Cass.
    Rachel: I got your text.
    Cass: Thanks for coming.
    Rachel: So what's the plan? Anything I can do?
    Cass: You can testify against Iris. Show the judge why she shouldn't be released.
    Rachel: That's easy. She tried to have Carl killed on our wedding day.
    Cass: You have to be careful Rachel.
    Rachel: Of what?
    Cass: With Carl not being in the picture any more, that may not be good enough.

    BAY CITY CENTER
    Tyrone is on his laptop at a table and Grant joins him.
    Grant: Waiting for someone?
    Tyrone: No.
    Grant (sitting down): Is everything prepared?
    Tyrone: Pretty much.
    Grant: Good. This is going to go a long way. I am going to be running for Mayor in the coming weeks, and I'll be looking to appoint a new District Attorney. If you win this case it might be you.
    Tyrone: You're supposed to put in a good word for me now.
    Grant: I don't have to do that Mr. Montgomery. If you get Iris released from prison tomorrow, your name will be popular all on its own.
    Tyrone: You just make sure you make that phone call.
    Grant: Of course I will...if Iris gets out.
    Tyrone: I haven't lost a case bruh. I don't plan on losing this one.
    Grant: As I said it will help your career.
    Tyrone: I gotta ask you something though. Given everything that Iris has done to the Corys, how do you think Paulina is gonna react when she finds out you got the Governor to endorse Iris's release?
    Grant: She's not going to react because she's not going to find out.
    Unbeknownst to the both of them, ALLEN is about a couple of tables behind Tyrone, and was able to hear their conversation.

    REGINALD'S SUITE
    Reginald is on his cell phone.
    Reginald: Gooood afternoon. Judge Parker, you're presiding over the hearing tomorrow for Iris's release. Yes you just make sure she gets out, then you'll get your reward.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Rachel: You can't be serious. After all that woman has tried to do to our family.
    Cass: Granted, she's made your lives miserable when she was around.
    Rachel: She needs to stay in prison.
    Cass: Rachel I don't disagree with you, but trying to take over a company does make someone a danger to society.
    Rachel: What about consipiracy to commit murder? Doesn't that make her dangerous?
    Cass: That would make anyone dangerous, but you've got to understand, she doesn't have a long criminal history where she's tried to kill people. It was only Carl. Most of her vendetta was against you and Mac's other children.
    Rachel: Right. If you let her out of jail she's gonna come after my family.
    Cass: That's why you have to come to the hearing tomorrow. Gather any evidence you may have that could sway the judge to keep Iris in prison, and we can review it.
    Rachel: What am I gonna come up with between tonight and tomorrow?
    Cass: Not sure, but you and Amanda better start digging. I'll work on my end, too.
    Rachel: Don't you think this is kind of sudden? I mean, this hearing just got sprung on us.
    Cass: It does seem quick.
    Rachel: I wouldn't be surprised if Iris had something to do with it.

    REGINALD'S SUITE
    Reginald and Allen are there conversing.
    Allen: You'll never guess what I heard down at the Center.
    Reginald: And what would that be?
    Allen: Grant got the Governor to write a letter of recommendation to release Iris from prison.
    Reginald: I've all but ensured that.
    Allen: How?
    Reginald: Not to worry, you just keep doing what you're doing.
    Allen: Oh I am. All the people that we signed are gonna pull out, and Cory Publishing is gonna buy out all of the contracts instead of suing them.
    Reginald: Lawsuits wouldn't be very cost effective for them.
    Allen: Neither would the buyouts, but they don't have a choice, and after they're done buying out the contracts, they will be in more financial dire straits than they are now.
    Reginald: And when they're ready to sell, we will swoop in and purchase, and Cory Publishing will be mine...for the time being.

    Tyrone: Well I'm not gonna tell her okay, but secrets have a way of coming to the surface.
    Grant: Not this one. I'm making good progress with her. She's a good person, and I'd be a fool to mess that up.
    Tyrone: You've played with fire before.
    Grant: I love Paulina, and I'm not going to lose her.
    "You hope." says Tyrone, as he packs his briefcase and leaves.

    MCKINNONS HOUSE
    Jake wakes up and Vicky is not next to him. He quickly gets up and calls out to her. "Vicky!"

    He finally finds Vicky in Michele's bedroom. She's sitting at Michele's desk holding her college acceptance letters, looking straight ahead. Her eyes are watery because she has been crying. All Jake can do is watch her from the door.
    Vicky (feeling his presence): She looked so pretty in her prom dress. So happy.
    Jake: She did.
    Vicky: She had a choice of going to Columbia or Harvard. She had such a bright future.
    Bridget walks up to the door and and Jake puts his arm around Bridget's right shoulder. Vicky feels Bridget's presence also and her mood changes.
    Vicky: And she took it away.
    Vicky gets up and faces them.
    Vicky: Are you happy now Bridget?
    Bridget (crying): Of course not I never thought....
    Vicky (interrupting Bridget): That's right, you never thought...and it because of that, Michele is brain dead.
    Jake: Vicky---
    Vicky: Face the truth Jake. One of our daughters is responsible for killing the other.
    Jake: Bridget let me talk to your mother alone please.
    Bridget: Dad I didn't mean for this happen.
    Jake: I know baby. I just want to speak to your mom.
    Jake kisses Bridget on her forehead and Jake closes the door.
    Jake: Look I know you're hurting. I am, too, but I am not going to let you keep blaming Bridget for Michele's condition.
    Vicky: So you're overlooking the fact that Bridget opened Michele's acceptance letter to Harvard. You also forgot about Bridget texting from Michele's phone.
    Jake: I didn't---
    Vicky: And let's not forget that she stole a bottle of vodka from Reginald's liquor cabinet so she can get Michele's boyfriend drunk! As far as I'm concered she's responsible, and I want her out of this house.

    HOSPITAL
    Greg is lying in his room unable to move his legs, and John walks in.
    John: How are you doing?
    Greg: Everything's clear now. I know what happened.
    John: The police contacted me. They told me that they've ruled it an accident. No charges are gonna be filed.
    Greg: I don't know how I should feel about that. It's because of me that my cousin is brain dead.
    John: Son you had a steroid rage.
    Greg: I feel horrible dad. Jake and Vicky lost a child because of me. I'll never forgive myself.
    John: Greg it was an accident. She stumbled onto the street and you tried to swerve out of the way.
    Greg: I should be where Michele is right now...not her.

    BAY CITY CENTER
    Rachel and Paulina sip on their cups of cappucino.
    Paulina: Thanks for meeting me.
    Rachel: It's not a problem.
    Paulina: Dante told me what happened at the prom. I feel so horrible for Jake and Vicky.
    Rachel: It's quite tragic. They are devastated. I don't think it's quite hit Cory yet.
    Paulina: Dante he had a great time with Elizabeth.
    Rachel: I'm glad that the kids were able to experience that bliss, but somehow I don't think you wanted me to come here to talk about the children.
    Paulina: You're right. It's about Grant.
    Rachel: Grant?
    Paulina: He's in love with me.

    John: I understand your guilt, and in a way you should feel guilty, but you can't let it consume you.
    Greg: I stopped using them dad. I wasn't lying.
    John: I believe you son, now you've got to focus on getting better.
    Greg: Am I gonna be able to walk again?
    John: We don't know that. We're gonna get you on a physical therapy regimen.
    Greg: I wanna play football again dad.
    John: Son stop worrying about it. You will be fine. I've set you up with a physical therapist.
    Greg: I'm ready to begin.
    John: We gotta wait for the swelling to go down.

    Rachel: He is?
    Paulina: He's been there for us since Joe was killed. He bought a designer tux for Dante, and he set up a limo for Dante to go to the prom in.
    Rachel: Wow. He's gone all out. Definitely sounds like he's in love with you. I guess the question would be...how do you feel?
    Paulina: It's scary.
    Rachel: So...you have feelings for Grant?
    Paulina: Yes I do, but I feel I'm betraying Joe, and you know Grant's past and the things he's done.
    Rachel: People told me the same thing about Carl. I had the same doubts. After all, he had done everything in his power to terrorize Mac and me. Everyone was against it you know that. In the beginning I didn't want to betray Mac, but I couldn't deny it anymore. I had fallen in love with Carl. We had a great marriage and two wonderful children.
    Paulina: Wow. I never thought of it like that. It was you and against the world wasn't it?
    Rachel: It sure seemed that way didn't it?
    They both chuckle.
    Rachel: If you love him, go for it.
    Paulina: I think I do.
    Rachel: Joe would want you to move on, just like Mac wanted me to.
    Paulina: You always know the right thing to say.
    Rachel: You're like a daughter to me Paulina.
    Rachel gets a text and reads and her mood changes.
    Paulina: Rachel you look concerned what is it?
    Rachel: It's a text from Cass. There's gonna be a hearing for Iris's release this week.

    Jake: Bridget lives here.
    Vicky: I can't stand to look at her.
    Jake: Why? Because she reminds you of you!
    Vicky slaps Jake and she begins to cry.
    Vicky: This isn't fair. I want my baby back.
    Jake embraces his wife.
    Jake: I want her back, too.
    Vicky: My little girl. My sweet, intelligent girl.
    Jake: She'll always be a part of us.
    Vicky: I guess it's...time to call Uncle John.

    Vicky unleashes her anger at Bridget, as Marley, Tyrone, and Donna arrive. Bridget is in shock and in tears...
    Vicky: You did this! You pushed Michele out into the street! You did this to your own sister!
    Donna quickly tends to Vicky...
    Donna: Victoria let's go somewhere and talk okay.
    Vicky: Bridget tried to kill Michele.
    Donna (escorting Vicky out of the waiting room): Let's go.
    Reginald accosts Jake.
    Reginald: How can you let her accuse Bridget of trying to kill Michele?
    Jake: Your parenting days are over Reg. Let Vicky and I handle our kids.
    Reginald: Well it looks like you need the help because it doesn't look like you're doing a great job of it.
    Marley: Jake what happened?
    Reginald: Michele is brain dead, thanks to their lack of parenting.
    Jake goes to attack Reginald and Tyrone restrains him.
    Tyrone: I think you need to get outta here Reggie.
    Reginald: Gladly.
    Marley (hugging Jake): Oh my God Jake I'm so sorry.

    Rachel, Mitch, and Felicia arrive and tend to Cory and Elizabeth...
    Rachel: How are you two?
    Cory: My head hurts.
    Elizabeth: It's been one crazy night.
    Rachel and Felicia walk over to Jake and Bridget.
    Rachel: Jake? What happened?
    Jake: Michele's....she was hit by a car.
    Felicia: Oh my God. Is she gonna be alright?
    Jake (watery eyed): No...
    Meanwhile, Mitch tends to Cory and Elizabeth.
    Mitch: What did you go on...a bender?
    Elizabeth: Bridget spiked his punch with vodka.
    Mitch: Are you serious?
    Cory: Come on lay off of her. She's upset about her sister.
    Elizabeth: Lay off? Michele is brain dead because of Bridget. She caused this whole mess!
    Cory: Brain dead? What are you talking about?
    Mitch: I think we probably should go.
    Cory: No I wanna stay.
    Mitch: I think it's best we go home.
    Mitch walks over to Rachel.
    Mitch: Jake I'm so sorry about Michele.
    Jake: Thank you.
    Mitch: Rachel are you staying?
    Rachel: Umm Jake do you need anything?
    Jake: We'll be fine here. Thanks Rachel.
    Rachel: Let's get the kids home.
    Mitch turns to Felicia.
    Mitch: Honey I'll be home after we drop the kids off.
    Felicia is a little caught off guard...
    Felicia: Umm...okay....sure. I'll see you when you get home.

    Donna tries to comfort Vicky outside the chapel.
    Vicky: This wasn't supposed to happen Donna. How did it happen?
    Donna: I don't know honey. It just seems like an unfortunate accident.
    Vicky: I saw Bridget and Michele fighting on the sidewalk, and before Jake and I could stop the fight, it looked like Bridget pushed her out in front an oncoming car.
    Donna: Victoria, I don't believe that for a second.
    Vicky: Bridget has been plotting against Michele for some time now.
    Donna: What?
    Vicky: She tried to hide Michele's acceptance letter from Harvard, and she stole a bottle of vodka from Reginald's liquor cabinet, and got Cory Hutchins drunk. Michele's boyfriend.
    Donna: Are you trying to say Bridget tried to kill Michele? That's a serious accusation. I just don't believe that Bridget tried to do that.
    Vicky: I'm starting to.
    Donna: You're angry and upset, understandably, but to accuse Bridget of killing her own sister is a bit much.
    Felicia walks up to them and Vicky gets up to face her.
    Vicky: Are you here to gloat?
    Felicia: Of course not.
    Vicky: I know what you're going to say. This is payback for what I did to your niece.
    Felicia: I would never wish this on anyone. You have my condolences.
    Donna: Thank you so much Felicia. We both thank you.
    Felicia: John is waiting for you in the waiting area.

    Vicky approaches John, Jake, and Bridget, along with Tyrone and Marley.
    John: Jake, Vicky. Have you decided?
    Vicky: No. Michele's gonna recover! Do not remove that respirator!
    Jake: We'll talk about it at home.
    Vicky: There's no discussion Jake. Michele is gonna recover.
    Everyone looks at Vicky and realizes she is in denial.
