  1. Thanks for the article!
  2. From 1977 (Trish's multiple personalities storyline).
  3. This is an interview (of sorts) with Sheri Anderson when she was a script writer for Days that appeared in various newspapers in August 1976. Funny that Bill Bell is referred to as "a story editor in Chicago."
  4. He committed suicide in 1987 (reportedly because he was despondent over his acting career).
  5. This is an interview with Peter Burnell in early 1974, after he left The Doctors. It's really quite sad, especially knowing now how his life turned out.
  6. I'll be quite happy if Karen has the baby off-screen. She's bad enough under normal circumstances. I definitely don't want to see her giving birth!
  7. applcin, I completely agree with your assessment of the Matt/Maggie/Karen situation. It drove me crazy that Matt never acknowledged his role in the matter while it was going on.
  8. Our friend, amybrickwallace, did it again. She snagged an autograph from Patrick Horgan, who played Dr. John Morrison.
  9. Slick, Joan Fontaine was supposed to appear on The Doctors as part of the anti-smoking campaign but I don't know if that happened since it was so close to the cancellation of the show. This clipping is from October 24, 1982. Tony Randall did appear. His clip was from October 31, 1982.
  10. I don't think Liz was trying to kill herself when she took the serum (or whatever it was) though. She was trying to prove her love to Nick.
  11. Most of the characters on The Doctors are basically good people. Even Karen, although very neurotic, is not evil. Townsend is the closest to a villain but he obviously is mentally ill.
  12. I think Jen Lilley bears a strong physical resemblance to SSH but her voice spoils the effect.
  13. Our friend, amybrickwallace, received some autographed photos and a note from Elizabeth Hubbard. I posted them for her in The Doctors thread. http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/27061-the-doctors/?p=1415785
  14. Thanks amybrickwallace!
  15. Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes at the 1976 Daytime Emmys. They were nominees for Best Actor/Best Actress. And Susan with Betty Corday and Denise Alexander (who was then on GH). Denise was also a Best Actress nominee (Denise and Susan lost to Helen Gallagher).
  16. JoBeth Williams and Joel Crothers at the 1976 Daytime Emmys.
  17. Judith Barcroft, Susan Lucci, and Fran Heflin at the 1976 Daytime Emmys. Fran was a Best Actress nominee that year.
  18. Charita Bauer at the 1976 Daytime Emmys.
  19. Here are Elizabeth Hubbard and Gerald Gordon at the 1976 Emmy Awards. They both won for their roles in the "First Ladies Diaries" specials.
  20. Thanks for sharing amybrickwallace!
  21. Here's another.
  22. I know I have one or two. I'll try to find them.
  23. Speaking of the David/Valerie kiss, this is from October 1976. This is the Grant family in December 1975.
  24. Yeah, Pat Falken-Smith was blatantly lying. Who ever heard of an engaged couple not even kissing?!
  25. This is a June 1977 column pertaining to the David/Val and Sharon/Julie stories.
