  1. Thanks! Always nice to see a Somerset episode pop up. That was Pamela Toll, who previously appeared in Somerset, in the Duz commercial at the end. Of course, she's probably better known as Liz Wilson on The Doctors.
  2. "Pat's" full name was "Patricia Andrews". Kathy Dunn was also Julie Olson #2 on Days of Our Lives for a few months in 1967.
  3. danfling, I haven't found any information regarding Dorothy Peterson's role. This is a summary of the very brief synopses I found on newspapers.com. The story of Lisa Hughes' (Eileen Fulton) new search for life. Having left her home town, Oakdale, Lisa tries to forget the problems of the past, as she begins to work in the admitting room of Chicago's University Hospital. Lisa finds that she has quite a few things in common with Eve Eldredge (Julienne Marie). The Eldredge and Robinson households are thrown into turmoil when Eve and Brad Robinson (Robert Drivas) announce their plans to marry. Eve and Lisa have a long talk about Eve's upcoming marriage to Brad. Lisa receives a shocking visit from Eve, who pleads for aid and advice. Dr. Tony Larson (David O'Brien) seeks the reason for Eve's incredible action (crack-up) at Lisa's apartment. Helen Eldredge (Geraldine Fitzgerald) has a serious talk with her daughter, Eve. Sandy Larson (Sandra Smith) questions the decision of her husband Tony in turning down a medical position at another hospital. Helen probes the source of the gulf between her and Eve. Helen confronts Eve about a mutual dilemma. Eve and Franny Martin (Pamela Murphy) have a long talk about Brad. Brad is the subject of a heated conversation between Eve and Franny. Sandy questions Tony's decision to stay in Chicago. Some unexpected bad news interrupts the planning for Brad and Eve's wedding. Controversy still lingers over the impending marriage of Eve and Brad. Eve and Brad face fears on their wedding day. Brad and Eve are married at the Eldredge home. Eve and Brad's wedding night is spoiled by an unwelcome visitor (fear). John Eldredge (Nicholas Coster) finds himself attracted to Lisa---the woman his younger brother, Tom (Sam Groom), wants to marry. John begins to have doubts about Lisa's past. Eve and Brad have troubles. Tony confronts Lisa with an astonishing knowledge of her past --- a past she has tried hard to forget. John has Lisa's past investigated. Lisa plans a trip to Oakdale, and her beau Tom wants to know the reason for her sudden journey back home. Lisa's ex-brother-in-law, Don Hughes (Peter Brandon) brings ominous news when he pays her a surprise visit. Lisa tries to settle on a course of action after a surprise visit from her former brother-in-law. Nurse Sylvia Hill (Millette Alexander) travels to Chicago to visit her old friend, Sandy Larson, and reveals some interesting details about Lisa Hughes' past. Sandy wants to find out why her husband is seeing Eve Robinson so often. The first person she questions is Lisa. Sandy demands to know what Lisa knows about Sandy's husband, Tony. Sandy demands to know why Lisa is seeing Tony so often. Lisa tells John about her past life, a story she had hoped would never have to be told to anybody. Lisa continues to confess her dark past to keep Tom from wooing her. Lisa tells Tom why she can never marry him. Eve refuses to accept a generous gift from Brad's parents. Eve is concerned about the future of her marriage. Eve pleads with her husband to agree to an annulment of their marriage because she can never love him, because she loves Tony. Brad faces a difficult decision following Eve's request for an annulment. Brad tries to save his marriage. John starts cursing the day he decided to dig up Lisa's past. Two unexpected visitors make a mysterious visit to Tony's office. After a freak accident, Tony is rushed to the hospital, where he hovers between life and death. Tony's injury is investigated, and the police determine that his injuries were not caused by an accident. Police arrest Brad after evidence shows he might have some connection with the assault on Tony. Brad tells John he has an alibi for his whereabouts at the time of the attack on Tony, but refuses to reveal it to the police. Tony is rushed into surgery. Brad is arrested and booked for the almost fatal beating of Tony, while Sandy sweats out the life-or-death operation. Questioned by police, Sandy denies that her husband ever asked for a divorce. She also learns from doctors that Tony's chances for survival are slim. Tony fights for his life while an unexpected turn of events leads police to reconsider the assault charges against Brad. Tony may not recover. Dr. Taylor's unexpected diagnosis causes Sandy to look at her husband's death in a different light. At the same time, the police release Brad. Lisa reveals Sandy's secret to John. Sgt. Clark tracks a new suspect in Tony's murder. When Lisa spills the beans to police about Sandy's husband, they go after her secret admirer (John). Sandy Larson is booked for the murder of her husband. John and Lisa plan their future. Sandy prepares to stand trial for murder. Sgt. Clark questions Lisa about her neighbor, and a confession to the attack of Tony Larson is taken at police headquarters.
  4. You're welcome! I have some very brief synopses I'm trying to compile in some order. I noticed that the characters played by Groom and Fitzgerald were mentioned less (if at all) as the series went along. The focus changed to a murder mystery involving the Larsons (David O'Brien and Sandra Smith). I did come across a letter that a viewer wrote complaining about the series ending without resolution to several hanging stories.
  5. I don't remember her from The Secret Storm but I certainly remember her in The Flying Nun and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
  6. This was the official explanation for killing off Kathy Holden at the time it occurred.
  7. Thanks for the pictures and the article. I did see some of their story when it aired. Too bad more of it isn't available today.
  8. I have some articles that I'll try to find too.
  9. Tracey Bregman advised that Toni Bua has died.
  10. I read that David Russell based his soap within a movie (Joy) on The Secret Storm. You can tell it in this clip.
  11. This is a 1977 column by Jon-Michael Reed about the David/Valerie and Sharon Duvall stories.
  12. All set! HIDDEN FACES...ANNOUNCER Wayne Morse THE DOCTORS: Nurse Buckley...Never Seen...wanted head nurse position Jim Novak...???...11/18/69...clinic patient, Althea...she didn't remember him Billy Craddock...???...11/20/69...Simon's anemia patient I added some additional soap appearances to the Secret Storm cast list. As I go through each show(The Doctors, LOL,SFT to update them), the new additional shows are in italics...not many for SS, maybe about 20. Slick, did you see that Eileen Kearney said on FB that her brother, Mark, played Simon's anemia patient?
  13. Perfect! I had to re-watch Mike's scream a few times (because it's one of those "so bad it's good" things).
  14. I accepted Jada Rowland as a recast Carolee because I had liked her on the Secret Storm. But her Carolee wasn't as fun as Carolee Campbell's (albeit for very good reasons).
  15. I thought the same thing about James Shannon. He was especially OTT in yesterday's episode. I thought he was going to yell, "Stella," at one point. He's very good-looking though.
  16. Slick, I think Laurie James Iverson (Marie Thomas) used to sing "No Way' on The Doctors. Could that she be confused with Lori Nelson?
  17. Sad news. John Colenback (Dr. Dan Stewart) has died. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/john-colenback-dead-as-world-802522?utm_source=twitter
  18. Enjoyed the Jordan Clarke article. It really humanized him. I had no idea about his daughter's death.
  19. Slick, sorry if I overlooked it but I didn't see James Broderick on your list for The Doctors. I found this from July 7, 1966.
  20. I'm not sure but she was the real-life mother of Gaye Huston, who was the first Lee Randolph (I think). ETA: From July 1966.
