Surviving R. Kelly
https://www.tmz.com/2019/03/09/r-kelly-pays-child-support-released-jail-cook-county-drea/ Not a surprise. I know some feel that he is paying his own money and is just hiding it, but I actually do think these gullible, broken people are paying his way.

Apparently there were also rumors that she racially segregated writers.

Good times. I remember all the hype over him when he started, but he was just yet another of the bozos Trump turned against, and his moron wife got never-ending bad publicity. Trump has used and discarded so many fools.

I'm not surprised, but I'm still pissed off at how the media is working overtime to talk about how Ilhan's Omar's controversies are a distraction and a gift for Trump. They are not comparable to him in any way. The only reason they are a distraction is because the media, desperate to get Trump reelected and to help Republicans win back the House, make them one. It just makes me see red.

The nitpicking and drummed up backlash Sherrod Brown got for pretty much nothing likely told him the purity types would never let him win. It's a shame. Anyway, I saw a clip of Conan on Youtube and he was mentioning this story. https://www.npr.org/2019/03/05/700175470/elderly-trump-critics-await-muellers-report-sometimes-until-their-last-breath

There's so much visceral hatred and fear toward Harris on both sides I'm not sure what will happen with her, but I do think she benefits from a number of the 'names' being around for too long or being overexposed. I have a lot of respect for Joe Biden, but he should have run 4 years ago or not at all. There's also so much focus on his psyche and personal reasons. It's giving me Hillary flashbacks.

Surviving R. Kelly
Not compared to his heyday, but enough to still sell concerts and to have his bail taken care of. I don't know, I think Gayle King had the best of intentions, but I really wish that these shows would reconsider jumping into stories just to get headlines.

Surviving R. Kelly
Online reaction about him has been harsh for years (rightfully so). This type of interview does more to shore up his support with diehard fans and to make him seem like a victim. Any entertaining of someone this toxic just ends with everyone being dragged down to their level.

Surviving R. Kelly
I'm disappointed, if not surprised, to see him getting a national platform to defend himself. Many people will watch this interview and believe him.

The Fox TV Network: The Early Days
How sad for her. Yeah I always associate him with his AW work (and he was so gorgeous), but I know many will always love him as Batman.

Twin Peaks
I read that Riverdale's next episode is going to be called "Fire Walk With Me." Ugh. I hate, hate, hate that [!@#$%^&*] piece of [!@#$%^&*] ass show so [!@#$%^&*] much. Lazy, derivative trash that actually asks viewers to be turned by the exploitation and abuse of young girls, and they are taking a title from THAT movie, of all movies? Piece of [!@#$%^&*].

The Fox TV Network: The Early Days
I'd never heard of that Rachel Gunn show. It looks...very early '90s. I laughed that a review said it was an idiot cousin to Nurses - how dumb do you have to be to be an idiot cousin to NURSES? Poor Christine Ebersole never caught a break.

Star Trek: Picard
Always good to see Michelle Hurd.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Lisa Rinna and Kris Jenner are in a commercial for...Captain Marvel. I'm not quite sure why - maybe it's their attempt to bring in more women since a lot of men are boycotting the film? Maybe the producers just love reality TV? Anyway, I'm reminded yet again that Lisa is much more entertaining when she isn't on RHOBH.

The Fox TV Network: The Early Days
I loved early Fox. Duet, Married With Children, Tracey Ullman Show...I even tried to watch that Rosie O'Donnell and Fran Drescher sitcom. Then a few years later, In Living Color. It's mostly been [!@#$%^&*] for about 25 years now.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I watched that clip and Nene seemed a little drunk to me. I wonder if she was just not in her best and then the whole thing spiraled.

Yet another reason why you should still not give the Washington Post your money, no matter how much Jeff Bezos is patted on the back because Trump hates him. They are still a right wing paper and proud of it.

I was kind of surprised Ian said anything because I thought he was sort of friendly with Singer. Speaking of surprise, I'm also a bit surprised Oprah has gotten so involved in the Michael Jackson stuff, especially after her credibility has taken a hit in the last decade. I think this is one of those cases where a celebrity taking part ends up hurting more than helping.

Lovely. I'm sorry kids today never really will get to experience John's movies (even if most of them weren't that great outside of him).

Film Awards Thread
That's one of the reasons I'm not all rah rah Netflix. They have become so generic, and I also find much of their original content incredibly disturbing both oncamera and behind the scenes. There are still a few shows I enjoy, like One Day at a Time (and I'm starting to get into Bakeoff) but with prices increasing I feel like I'm near the end with them.

Two of the best SNL sketches I've seen in many years.
