  1. Is this Tom O'Rourke near the end? @jam6242 @zanereed
  2. The show supposedly drastically improves within a few months but I haven't seen for myself.
  3. Oh I need to get back in (I think I only got up to episode 3). I'd love to hear your thoughts as this goes on. Or your thoughts on the Families episode I posted. I forgot to mention that Russell Davies was a script editor on that show (he uses a lot of the concepts he'd use on his other soaps a few years later, like Revelations and Springhill).
  4. Lisa Peluso is in this ad.
  5. Ian Ziering, and hair, is in this ad.
  6. That's also where I first saw Louise, along with absolute trash like Two Moon Junction and its sequel that would run on pay cable late at night. She was luminous and you never felt like she was slumming, even though she was. I wish she'd gotten the part in Nashville. I love Lily Tomlin, but she doesn't do anything for me in that role, and when I rewatch the movie I tend to skip most of that storyline.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-norfolk-62810007 Most of a Morecambe and Wise interview from 1973 was recovered.
  8. A terrific speech.
  9. I'm glad they at least took one, but it seems to be a drone shot where you can barely make out the cast...and it reminds me there are way too many children on the show now.
  10. Michael E Knight guest-starring in an episode of Valerie Bertinelli's short-lived 1990 sitcom.
  11. https://time.com/6215318/eric-idle-pancreatic-cancer/
  12. Great to see Jasmine and Kadeem. I had never heard that story about how Lisa was treated.
  13. A summary won't necessarily help, but I wouldn't want you to have to actually sit through the years of awful material...and this isn't on topic for the thread anyway, now that I think of it, so my apologies. If you are enjoying this show, I am happy for you and I will leave it at that. I won't be watching it or posting in here again.
  14. Anything involving Loras (one of the worst-written characters I have ever seen on television).
  15. I would agree more with that if the original GoT did not have a history of poor, homophobic writing. It's also, similar to GoT's homophobic choices, a departure from the source material in order to give the most degrading outcome.
  16. You'd think the affiliates would not have been so upset if this was turning that heavy of a profit.
  17. Some things with the GoT shows never change...glad I haven't watched this.
  18. And this should have been a strong week given the Queen's funeral. Instead they are going the same way as the attempt at having a GMA expansion replace GH. I doubt they will bring DAYS back though. They are probably looking to boot it for good.
