  1. Maybe that third stint was just Vanessa silently protesting that cringey "Brenda's Back" jingle.
  2. Great picks @I Am A Swede I always had a soft spot for Frank and never knew why he and Janey were written out. Surprised to see Chas, but she was a favorite of mine too until around 2012 or 2013.
  3. Yes. That's what I tend to see as amped-up. Not bad, necessarily, just much more extreme compared to some past years of the character. I guess this is so often true of any Carlivati-tied show.
  4. The woman in the skin cream at about five and a half minutes in seems familiar to me. At first I thought Jacquie Courtney, although I know it probably isn't. I was also thinking Fran Myers, possibly.
  5. For Brenda I might say some of those later returns, especially the one (was it the last?) where she threw bread rolls at Carly or whatever.
  6. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/10/12/us/politics/leonard-leo-courts-dark-money.html Another very sobering article about all the people who hate us. As @Vee has said you can read it free with archive.ph
  7. Oh, Bill... (yes I know it's nothing new)
  8. If you read my posts last year and earlier this year you'd know I am not that enthused with John Fetterman, but this is still a deeply ghoulish hit piece from the network that did more than anyone outside of Putin to help Trump get elected. And the wording of this tweet is an all time high for narcissistic, deeply pathetic media masturbation.
  9. Michael Callan, who was on briefly in 1985, apparently.
  10. Indeed!
  11. I thought I read Jeanne Cooper had a high Q score too. Or Gloria Loring or Deirdre Hall...
  12. They both seem to go through relationships like toilet paper, but I hope it works out for them.
  13. As @DaytimeFan mentioned, I grew up with Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I watched it so many times my VHS tape broke. It's how I will always remember her. I have so much respect for Angela and her legacy, how she thrived in a system that never knows what to do with people who aren't easy to fit into a certain category. And for how she tried to help her friends and other people in Hollywood who needed support. She was one of a kind. I saw a tweet saying how lucky we were to have lived at the same time as Angela Lansbury, and that is just perfect.
  14. One of the classiest, most understated, intelligent, beautiful actresses on soaps. I wish so many of her years at EON and From These Roots were not gone, but I'm glad we have what we do. I wish she'd been interviewed more about From These Roots while there was a chance.
  15. This is the same preemptive scolding as so many dead end leftists. They know Republicans will do well, so they can rush in now and say why didn't you talk about ECONOMIC ANXIETY.
  16. 1916 Harold Lloyd and Bebe Daniels film found. https://silentmovieday.org/news/lukesdouble
  17. Tommy Tuberville, the most brain dead and one of the most vile Republicans in Congress, whose racist screed is, of course, being shrugged off by the media.
