  1. I had already zoned out of the show by the time Roger/Jenna began, but I would say by the time they met Roger, Mindy, who was mostly a spoilt schemer while in her teens, was very different from Jenna, a grown woman who was a cat burglar. I also thought Roger had more genuine feeling for Mindy than he did for Jenna, as by the time Jenna came along it was clear Roger could only ever love Holly.
  2. Frankie was created over two years before Luna. I do see the similarities but I think Malone based Luna more on his own Southern Gothic touch. @Neil Johnson @Xanthe @AbcNbc247 Thanks for answering my question. I guess we were meant to believe she got the powers through abuse and trauma...? If so it makes sense they faded out after she started a healing process. I can't remember what her last bout of visions were. Maybe Vicky's car accident.
  3. Did Lisa have her psychic visions from the start? One of the less talked about parts of AW that has always struck me as odd was that for most of their last 12 years on the air they had a psychic character. Lisa, then Frankie, then Remy. I wonder if this was a personal choice of someone backstage.
  4. @Vee I needed the laugh. My favorite part, aside from the death stares, is DeBose dramatically overpronouncing "Hong Chau" in a questionable manner in lieu of actually having anything to say about her.
  5. I saw this as a child and it horrified me. Very effective, but I never watched the show again for a long time.
  6. Yes, as soon as I saw those comments I decided to never go there again. In other news, here's a brief interview with Brynn Thayer (from 1988) about her short-lived show TV 101, which had quite a cast (even if they seem to think Stacey Dash is a very different person than she is or was). It's around 14 minutes in.
  7. A collection of so many Russia apologists and shills, some of whom, like Tara Reade, were paraded around by mainstream media figures.
  8. Thanks @Vee for all the great content.
  9. Thanks. I haven't watched a great deal of this period. Do you think they should have kept her on longer?
  10. Thanks for taking the time to check. Surprised that clip never went around any "before they were stars" pages.
  11. The AW thread is still locked, for [!@#$%^&*] all reason, so I can only ask here. I was watching an Ed O'Neill interview and he mentioned his time on AW. He also mentioned turning down the role of Steven Keaton, and he said that he recommended Michael Gross as they worked together on AW. I don't remember Gross ever being on there. Was he? I could look through AWHP but I have a headache and don't feel like trawling through the minor character list.
  12. I am kind of glad you're taking your time as I think that era is better for a viewer when they let it savor. Woods was probably just hit by so many of his co-stars leaving (and the bad choice to fire Marsha Clark). Have you seen the Roger death episodes? You probably have, but if not, I'd recommend the two I posted above.
  13. Any time you'd see Stella in anything, she had such presence. Even later in her career, when she was in dross like a Dukes of Hazzard reunion movie, still looking great (an uncle of mine said she looked better than Catherine Bach). She never really got the praise or career retrospective she deserved, but she's one of those people who made TV of her era stand out. And of course who can forget her in Poseidon Adventure?
  14. Thank you for replying. I didn't want to tag people because they weren't new, just reuploads of some of the DVD releases, but I hadn't seen them on Youtube lately. I'm always impressed at just how well the Roger "death" location shoot holds up - it feels much more stark, and less glossy or goofy, than later '80s location shoots. It's beautifully directed (like the scene of Ed and Holly embracing, Holly clinging to him for dear life, after Roger is gone) and has the weight of whether two good, moral characters can kill to survive (unlike later years on soaps, where murder isn't a big deal...complete with a shootout in the Bauer kitchen). Yet Alan and Mike worrying over Roger's lost documents reminds that the story isn't fully over. The moments of Bert praying for her sons are also very effective - reminding of the amazing yet very down to earth talent and presence of Charita Bauer. (I love Diane's whole look in that April episode, especially her necklace...I never know why Marland thought she should be killed off)
  15. I've found Kelly to be very phony and cold post-AMC, and I've always gotten bad vibes off Mark, going back to his Pine Valley days. Something has long seemed off for me with them as a couple.
  16. I do appreciate the lack of evasiveness compared to the way his campaign handled his stroke (which if not for the decent Democratic performance and Dr Oz being craven and smarmy, likely would have cost him the race), but I would agree. I've always been wary of Fetterman, and his supporters. I do feel bad for him, and also disturbed by the way the right have made his wife their new paranoid hate figure.
  17. Carolyn (in the 1967 period and especially 1970 PT), Roger, Victoria, Willie, Joe, Tony Peterson, Elizabeth, Chris, Angelique, Samantha, Julia, Leticia, Ben Stokes.
  18. I feel bad for him, but I do wonder what the rules are in Pennsylvania for a new senator. I'm not sure how much longer he's going to be able to stay in the job.
  19. I think he's just doing as told by CNN - getting a lot of coverage, and trying to make Nikki Haley, a longtime media darling, seem sympathetic.
  20. Wonderful news. Did they already have Lorie and Leslie - did their appearance a year or two ago count for this? (did Lorie even have one?) I know Rex passed long ago, oncamera, but I hope they may take the opportunity to have Gina and Danny remember Rex, with flashbacks, to honor Quinn Redeker. I also hope we may somehow get an Olivia return for Mamie, unlikely as that is. Great to know Leanna, one of my old favorites, will be back too. And Nina. Almost makes me want to sit through an episode.
  21. I remember Welch suing because of being replaced on Cannery Row. That she managed to survive the type of moment that gets you blackballed in Hollywood is a credit to her tenacity. Here's a 1974 interview with her. https://www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv-movie-news/raquel-welch-speaks-her-mind-240951/
  22. Nothing to be excited about, but maybe the last missing footage we'll ever get.
