  1. September 1974 Daytime TV John Considine joined the cast in late May. John was last seen as Phillip Chancelor on The Young and the Restless. Walter Matthews has been reappearing in his role of Gerald Davis for a short time.
  2. September 1974 Daytime TV Joining in June were Sylvia O'Brien as Mother McGhee, Armand Assante as Johnny McGhee, Lauren White as Maria McGhee, F. Murray Abraham as Joshua T. Browne and Albert M. Oppenheimer as Moe Bachman. Leaving were Allan Miller as David Bachman and Suzann Davidson as Lori Ann Kirby. Suzann can now be seen on As the World Turns. Replacing Steve Elmore as Peter Willis is Berkeley Harris. Steve left to pursue other theatre engagements.
  3. September 1974 Daytime TV Virginia Grey left as Ann Coheen on May 27.
  4. September 1974 Daytime TV Leaving July 1 was Pat Pearcy as Melinda Cramer. Joining the cast the beginning of July was Rod Browning as Ben Farmer. Leonie Norton will replace Lee Warrick as Julie Toland on or about August 1.
  5. September 1974 Daytime TV Starting in June were Suzann Davidson in her former role of Betsy Stewart, Barbara Rodell as Joyce Coleman and Jenny Harris as Emmy Stewart. Jenny is the real-life daughter of Marie Masters, who plays her mother on the show. Barbara was last seen as Lesley Bauer on The Guiding Light.
  6. September 1974 Daytime TV Leaving the cast July 8 were Drew Snyder as Dan Phillips and Terri Cohen as his daughter, Rebbeccah Phillips.

  15. July 1973 Daytime TV Bennye Gatteys took the role of Susan Martin the end of March. Bennye was last seen on The Brighter Day.

July 1973 Daytime TV Leaving the cast March 25 were: John Colenback (Dr. Dan Stewart), Marie Masters (Susan Stewart Baxter), Lisa Cameron (Peggy Regan), Curt Dawson (Ron Talbot), Ben Hayes (Bruce Baxter), and Eugenia Rawls (Grace Burton). David Perkins replaced Willy Rook as Charles Shea. Irene Sun began the middle of April as Amy Hughes, Peggy's adopted daughter.
  17. July 1973 Daytime TV Rosetta LeNoire left as Gloria Metcalf. Jane Alice Brandon replaced Carol Williard as Harriet Sullivan. Carol left because she had stage commitments.
  18. July 1973 Daytime TV Gregory Chase replaced Jack Stauffer in April as Chuck Tyler. Jack left to go to Hollywood.
  19. Laurinda Barrett (Rita Church) and Camille Yarborough (Miss Butterfield) began the end of September.
  20. March 1973 Daytime TV Val Dufour started as John Wyatt, Andrea Whiting's lawyer, the middle of October.
  21. March 1973 Daytime TV Trip Randall began as Johnny Fletcher in September.
  22. March 1973 Daytime TV Georgia Schmidt (Amy Douglas) and George Chandler (Walter Douglas) began their roles the beginning of November.
  23. March 1973 Daytime TV Fran Sharon (Cookie Christopher) and Burt Douglas (Ron Christopher) were released from their contracts the end of November, but will still be seen occasionally in their roles.
  24. March 1973 Daytime TV Paul Henry Itkin (Dr. Vito McCray) left the end of December. Curt Williams' role of Jimmy Graham ended the middle of December.
  25. March 1973 Daytime TV Chris Hastings (Peter Burton), Eugenia Rawls (Grace Burton) and Michael Lombard (Joe Sernando) all began the end of October. Jill Harmon (Maria Marino) and Dean Santoro (Paul Stewart) were killed off the week of December 4.
