  1. Names rumored as recasts when OLTL fired Kale Browne as Sam: Gregg Marx, Dennis Parlato, Randolph Mantooth, John Martin. Kind of off they'd even consider two actors who had been fairly high profile on OLTL (especially Parlato).
  2. Cynthia Preston tested as GH's Summer before the role of Faith was created for her. Maeve Quinlan tested for AMC's "Dinah" (I assume that was Di).
  3. Another great chapter. It's nice to hear Cass and Nicole address their relationship.
  4. That part with Evan and his father shocked me. Who is his father again? Or is this a surprise?
  5. Wasn't expecting to see Cameron again! Do you still have the old actor playing him? The photo didn't work for me.
  6. That dialogue in the Grant/Toni scene sounds just like Grant. Poor Evan. He was such a complex and likeable guy when Charles Grant played him. I guess now he's completely gone to the dark side, just like his mother. Poor Sharlene - she was always so close to Evan.
  7. Those are beautiful photos. I especially love the last one. The pose is perfect. It's hard to believe someone who is 79 can seem so full of youth. Kate looks better here than she has in some photos I've seen in recent years. She looks a little more like she did in the 70's/80's peak. She was stunning then. I do wish she hadn't worn a toga.
  8. Priscilla was a very good actress. If you haven't seen it, watch the Knots Landing episode where she played the unbalanced mother of Ginger's first love.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJUvFWFaHZU
  10. Thank you again!! I sure wish we could see the scenes of Mona on the stand. This sounds like high dramatic material, which Mona often didn't have. "Your daughter's a whore!!! And by the way, take this gun back to Margo for me as a favor, thanks so much!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdhQpQnXkY0 That's a little insensitive of Ann, since Ruth was widowed and then married Joe. Unless she had psychic powers and knew David Thornton was on the way. That seems a little unethical of Kitty's therapist to tell Nick it was fine to divorce Kitty.
  11. It's always very interesting to me how long this whole back and forth went on. I have a Daytime TV Stars where Reinholt responds to comments from Lemay (I don't have the issue where Lemay made the comments) and he basically goes on refuting accusations that he and Courtney were unpleasant towards Victoria Wyndham. Did you see the scene where Carl and Felicia argued and she brought up his relationship with Lorna?
  12. Is that Kate O'Mara with her? That dress is very mixed - I don't think the camera angle helps, but part looks gorgeous, and part looks like it's not the best fitting. At least Joan tries new things.
  13. That's a very interesting outfit on Erica at the Raising Kane premiere - what do they call that, Chinese pajamas? I like it. I haven't seen her in that before. I wish we'd seen her in that in later years, but more likely it would have been passed off to Opal. Susan did some wonderful work in the miscarriage story, which was overlooked.
  14. I think the actor may have done some softcore stuff after this - someone going by Frank Harper who is or was in a number of the Cinemax after dark fare is credited as Chip Albers a few times. At first I thought that was hard to believe but after that clip it's not as hard to believe I always thought Josh was just there for the one story as well - it looks like he was filler during the strike and I guess since viewers knew him they added him to the Laura story for more impact. I'll never really understand what happened with Cecily. I think she was a very brash character who needed to be around the right people. Tad, Dixie, and Charlie didn't seem to be it. And all that with going back to school, and all the rest. Maybe they should have had her at WRCW.
  15. I think she wanted to go.
  16. The way Bill Bell played up Victoria's hatred of Ashley is fascinating to watch. She hated her, then everyone convinced her Ashley was a good person (even Nikki), Ashley gave her her own line of perfume. Victoria began accepting her. Then, her plot point friend Yvette gave her a copy of Ruthless, and she began to hate Ashley again. When she thought Ashley had said she used her wiles to get Victor and a career, that was enough to push her over the edge. Wonderful work from Heather Tom. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsBHsSICc6U&feature=channel&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l84yF3Ln_ek&feature=channel&list=UL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OHIbNXrMNA
  17. At least Ruth Warrick got some comedic material during the strike. She's a hoot (and the scene with Josh and Cecily is actually surprisingly hot). I wonder why they didn't know how to write for Cecily when she came back.
  18. A lot of actors left at this time, some of them very, very good - I'm sorry that Joe Gallison and Launa Sanders and others never got to return. (I know Gallison didn't leave until the early 90's, I just lumped him in). And Alex Marshall and Don Craig not even having any big exit is a shame. When I first read some of Suzanne's interviews at this time I was a little surprised at how blunt she was but as it turns out she was very ill at this point.
  19. I wonder if anybody ever had any fights between the Erica and Marlena dolls.
  20. Sad to hear. I wish I'd seen some of his work.
  21. November 1998 Digest
  22. I just realized that Nicole and Reginald were husband and wife on Passions. Then again Nicole looked just like her mother, so it fits, LOL.
