  1. Some of Marc Wolf's temp episodes as Brent/Marion are being uploaded. This must have been one of the most difficult temp roles ever, as he had to fill in during the climax of the story, none of which he'd played. I can't remember if this is his first stint or his second.
  2. This thread is mostly full of people who watch the show solely for Lisa. I'm sure a lot of viewers do love her and watch the show for her, but in terms of overall viewers, and her career outside of the show, it's not a great look. I'm surprised she hadn't already distanced herself from Brandi by this point in filming. I know some feel it's because Brandi might have known things. I don't think it's that as much as she probably felt sorry for Brandi and saw her as harmless. Brandi probably is harmless, overall, as she's just damaging herself, but that type of behavior (not just the thing with Joyce - everything Brandi does) is somewhat toxic and creates a stench,
  3. Giggling at racist comments isn't a good look. I have a feeling she didn't think that was going to get the edit it did on TV. She's fortunate because I don't think that many people will care, but for someone so image-cautious it was an odd moment.
  4. I agree with some of this, but I am bewildered that Matt Smith coming second to David Tennant in fan polls means he's a failure with the public. Apparently he didn't watch The End of Time.
  5. I keep waiting for Brandi to say she's a victim of "reverse racism."
  6. Thanks. I'd forgotten Tom was 15 on the show at one point. I'd just sort of assumed that he went from a kid to an adult back from Vietnam.
  7. Missing or presumed dead. When she left the mansion and ended up at the shelter, and stayed away for a while, resulting in Jill being there with Esther and the Beverly Archer maid.
  8. Was Alfred still around at this time?
  9. 1998 was one of the best years of Y&R in the time I'd watched, and I felt like some of the more annoying and static elements of the show had been challenged. Somewhere in mid or late 1999 is when I began to seriously lose interest and stopped watching, for a number of reasons. I think the show peaked around the time Katherine was presumed dead.
  10. In a way I guess it's more of a believable indictment on society, in that even if a man doesn't look younger, a woman will be attacked for the age difference. I have to admit I was watching very sporadically at this point so I mostly just remember him as being quiet and likely wondering how the hell he got mixed up with that family. I wonder if it was Bell's plan all along to bring in a psycho wife or if that was Alden.
  11. Thanks. It's funny as I never really thought of him as being that much younger than Nikki.
  12. I didn't even really see him as being that much younger. I can't remember but was this ever talked about among the characters?
  13. Now that you mention it I rarely do remember Victor and Josh having scenes together. I wonder why they didn't cast Leigh McCloskey in this role.
  14. Hadn't seen this one.
  15. Thanks. I wonder how long he stayed around.
  16. Michael B. Jordan named a breakout star of 2013. http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20326356_20769046,00.html#30071132
  17. RIP former Congressman Jacobs. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/andrew-jacobs-dies-81-congress
  18. I remember people talking about how he'd changed so much looks-wise back when he was on ATWT. I keep hearing about that show. I don't know if I'll watch, but good luck to them.
  19. Nothing new for Michelle... I just wish all these people who hate Blackburn realized most of the rot was there with Collinson. I don't like Blackburn as a producer, but he's a scapegoat for other producers and their failures. Blythe passed away, he didn't quit like Collinson, but both gutted their shows and people ignored it because of hype. I'm just sorry that Corrie, a show built on history, now has absolutely none.
  20. It was real, as someone (Marlena?) mentioned this at Lexie's memorial.
  21. I guess when I see her TH that's the impression I get, and one of the reasons I thought she was popular - polite to the face but then cutting and witty in private.
  22. Thanks for the photos, Paul Raven. I wonder how many people bought that doll. I wish they'd done a Kristen doll... I agree with all the comments about wasting Lexie. JER seemed to want to have black characters in fairly major roles but then did nothing with this. I wonder if it was his choice or if he was stopped, as he seemed to give black characters more to do at Passions.
  23. Isn't this also part of Lisa's general story over the years (reminding viewers that she's above most of the others)?
  24. I don't watch Corrie now anyway but I definitely won't be since they've fired Dennis. What a huge waste of this character in his entire return. Clearly they just don't care about history. http://primetime.unrealitytv.co.uk/coronation-street-spoilers-dennis-tanner-will-exit-street-falling-gloria-price/
