  1. They said in the comments that if the stream keeps having problems like it did today they may not do it anymore so if you have Youtube you may want to leave them a kind comment or a PM. For 1967, the characters seem very complex and believable. And the show is very blase about Althea being pregnant outside of marriage, although I guess she loses that baby. Liz Hubbard is just luminous, and so quirky and interesting as Althea. You get a quick glimpse at the comedy bit with Carolee, which is one of the things that helped get her noticed with fans and gave her more airtime on the show. The show looks good. Dark Shadows looked a little rough and rushed in color for quite a while. I like that we get a beauty shot too, and with some comedy (the orderlies reenacting the fight). Never seen Bethel Leslie as Maggie. She's OK, if not as distinctive as Lydia Bruce.
  2. Thanks for sharing this with us. The Anderson family sounds so fascinating - a seemingly "normal" family decimated by neuroses. I wish the show hadn't given up on them.
  3. When I was a child, this song always made me feel strangely sad. It still does now. (and I realized I'd gotten 75% of the lyrics wrong) It became hip to talk about how overrated Brian Wilson or some of the Beach Boys music was, but at their peak I think they were even better than the Beatles at capturing that melancholy and no-way-out feeling many men that age have.
  4. Do you have a VCR? I meant to say I didn't really expect you to put them up on Youtube - I just mean taping them for posterity, in case you or someone else could ever put them up.
  5. 1991 ad at about 1:30 here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZFBTPkUiTo&index=1&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw Thank you to alphanguy for the latest clip
  6. More clips setting up Roger's takedown. Some of these are already online, but these are better quality and a little more complete. Watching these just reminds me of how luminous Beverlee was and how many layers she put into Alex at this point (her rage, her fragility, her regret, her love for Fletcher). And it reminds me of how much I loved Harley when she was still quirky and an outsider, and not drained of personality with Mallet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDoOp7PGIVM&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw
  7. That's great. Do you think you could tape the episodes?

  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrZGAC-8_Is&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw Love that John/Kim scene. They had such an interesting relationship, especially when they were allowed to talk about issues beyond just Andy. I kind of wish they'd had them get together again around this point. Shocked that Kim kind of just took a dump on Ellen and David's marriage. That Leona Helmsley haircut and fake pink pearls don't do Kim any favors.
  10. This is an interview he did about 5 years ago. http://www.tvparty.com/70-dark-shadows.html I mostly tend to remember Hall through his marriage to Grayson Hall, how he wanted to write material that would show off her range as an actress, as he felt her films had never done that. I remember that bio of hers that talked about when she passed away, he agreed to finish the cooking courses she'd been taking.

  14. Katy Manning set visit, even recreating an old Three/Jo photo. Love it. https://twitter.com/ManningOfficial
  15. That's good. I'm sorry that happened to your tape.
  16. Bill Bell's anti-drug PSAs - at least he took it seriously. I will say they got the casting just right for Julie's boyfriend. He's a smarmy jerk but he's just cute enough and just enough of a bad boy for someone who is insecure to give in for him. I was surprised they actually had someone surprised to get a phone call from famous Danny. Usually his fame was just limited to trials or concert tours - most people he'd talk to or encounter in his "normal" life didn't react that way. It's too bad they didn't have the boy say something like, "Yeah right, like that [!@#$%^&*] douchebag would call me."
  17. I don't think this episode is up?
  18. You may want to tell that person to take Petyon Place out of the title, as it may get taken down otherwise. Can't wait to see the Y&R clip alphanguy. Thanks. So, vetsoapfan, that means the HTSAM finale didn't transfer and is gone now? Well, at least you tried.
  19. Johnny needs an acting coach, not a boyfriend. But of course he has to hook up with Ben since they're the only two gay guys on the show. For all the time DTC overused the Mitchells the last time he was around, he never had any idea what to do with them, and he still doesn't.
  20. So Robbie and Finn stopped being friends months ago? I wonder if Finn will react to this. I remember reading about how hated Robbie was for a long long time. Figures that now that fans didn't mind him he's killed off. That's the way of soaps I guess. I read that the episodes tied EE in the ratings in spite of EE being far more hyped. If so, good for them.
  21. I wonder if he will still have to wear the wig as Bran. I don't know how I feel about too much focus on Sansa's "dark side," as I tend to see this as just her trying to survive, but I am interested in where it goes. So it looks like Loras will have more to do this season. Finn Jones always goes to cons (I know actors do that for money but I still think it's nice for fans), so I wonder if he'll give anything away. I'll be happy to see the weirwood trees again. Alfie Allen has moved back to the UK to do theater and to be around his family (I hadn't been aware he'd been living in LA in the first place...). He's made some movies - Plastic (a caper movie with Emma Rigby, Ed Speelers, etc.) and some Keanu Reeves movie called John Wick where Reeves is an ex-gangster who wants vengeance on Alfie for killing his dog. Not my type of stuff, but I hope it leads to more work for him. http://nypost.com/2014/09/21/alfie-allen-ready-to-take-over-the-family-spotlight-from-sister/
