  1. Thanks for those Stanley Kamel articles. Nice pictures. And he has a wok!! They loved that. I love the purple prose in those writeups of that era, especially when they compare him going to DAYS to getting a workover at a body shop.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbrdWQnJZJg&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw She last aired around August 25, so it was a week. That was also when Mart Hulswit left as Ed. Such huge change, and I do think it hurt the show's momentum. Morgan seemed to lose all purpose as a character after this, although that may have happened no matter who was in the role. I will admit it's tough to picture Vigard with Robert Newman. But that story was such a bore anyway.
  3. I think that was an earlier story, with Geraldine's daughter-in-law Tiffany. There used to be some January 1979 material on Youtube that had a fair amount of Lori. That channel was deleted. I do have it but I don't know how to upload to Youtube Anyway, here's a short clip:
  4. Since it's B&B, push someone off a mountain and talk about Hope's love life. They could always have Quinn decide to get payback on Bill and scheme to get control of Spencer Industries or whatever it's called. Maybe they could say Bill Sr. once crossed paths with Adam (wasn't Adam involved with the feds?) and Adam knows something that could bring the company down.
  5. Another shirtless Duncan scene (I think there's one where they're arguing and there's sexual tension - I can't find it at the moment).
  6. Bringing Michael Swan back - why not? I could see him working well with Thorsten Kaye if they crossed paths. Swan isn't a campy actor but he's stolid and charismatic, and B&B could use more of that. Anyway...I don't remember this story with Craig. I really wish Diana had lasted into the Marland period. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWzQMJ7wzig
  7. I'm sorry to hear that.
  8. Since there's been a lot of Bambi talk lately... probably one of the crassest article titles I can remember in a soap magazine.
  9. Sure, that's fine. It's the July 1979 TV Dawn to Dusk & Daytime Stars.
  10. There is some Valerie material that has popped up in the last few years. Sadly it's from the end of her run when she's mostly a talk-to, although they seemed to be implying a possible story with Ralph Mitchell, which didn't happen. There's a full episode and then clips - you can search "Valerie" on the WLS channel and that will show the clips with her. https://www.youtube.com/user/WeLoveSoapsVideo
  11. July 1979 was the publication date - it was the last gasp of TV Dawn to Dusk. They also had a stock photo on part of the cover. I'll try to post it if I find it.
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkcN-rx7j4Y&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw&index=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki1BUOPvQiU&index=2&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx2jZQcYHjs&index=1&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw
  13. Promo at the start of this that I hadn't seen before. I don't know anything about this story... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkcN-rx7j4Y&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw&index=1
  14. I guess this is the same Amanda Tree. http://www.teamuniteddiversity.com/amanda-tree.html
  15. Some of the article was torn from the magazine.
  16. A little more for amybrickwallace. It's not much, but it's from (I think) the October 1979 Daytime TV.
  17. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bfR3QMiILc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28ELIIggXEE&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTzDbrSWi3M&list=UUMzfXBdkJBnz14rGTDBnVDw I'd seen a little of Nola's aborted wedding but not the rest. Such gorgeous scenery. And the Bauer pool on location! And actual boarders at the boarding house! They didn't last long, apparently. I wonder who played them. The old man looks familiar. If I'd been writing the show - and it's a good thing I wasn't as I would have been fired - I would have had Mart Hulswit's Ed feeling some kind of misplaced, confusing emotional and physical need for Kelly after he and Rita broke up. He and JWS sort of have that pull for me, at times.
  18. The last page of the Jerry Lacy article.
  19. Geez. VL fans must be crushed That false hope is so cruel. Who let that happen?? Deniz's female love interests clearly have no luck.
