  4. This is from an early 1969 TV Yearbook (magazines sure got a lot of use out of that Melba/Larry/Mary photo)

  10. I did. It was funny. A great example of how good Y&R was at laughter and tears. For some reason I thought Olivia showed up in late '89 - I guess that Christmas episode must have been from another year. The Cassandra story scenes in this episode have such repetitive dialogue, but I liked the end. And Nina and even the woman who plays Brittany are so luminous and noir-ish. This was such a strong era for Y&R women. Now even a Brittany is far superior to most of the ladies on the canvas.
  11. I wanted to ask - would you mind if I clipped some of the promos or commercials in your videos, for my channel? Some of them I'd never seen before. I'd give you credit (I wouldn't link to the videos, of course).
  12. Thanks. I wonder if they used old clips of Philip or if Bierdz recorded new audio flashbacks for them. That was such a powerful scene - it's a shame they didn't go back to it after Cricket and Nina left. I didn't realize Nathan wasn't with Olivia by this point.
  13. Thanks. I don't watch but I appreciate the caps.
  14. Yes, everyone knows. Kirin found out when they were having the DNA test done and told everyone at the party. If you don't want to download the episodes, you can find a few short clips at ED's Youtube channel. David returns to see Priya and oversee the handover of the shop. Agree about Charlotte Bellamy. Wonderful work. And so underrated. The most searing work on any soap this year.
  15. More mish-mash from googly-eyed Walker. Everything from this man makes me very uneasy. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/scott-walker-silent-constitutional-amendment-states-gay-marriage-119505.html?hp=l3_3
  16. Tim this is the interview I was talking about regarding Jenny and Kevin. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s3/coronation-street/news/a649451/coronation-streets-michael-le-vell-kevin-will-sympathise-with-jenny.html
  17. I sent you a PM - but if you didn't get it, go to UKSoapShare.
  18. Alicia and David and Jacob moved away to Portugal to help Paul (Val's son) run a bar. Rakesh changed the DNA results that said Kirin is the father of Vanessa's baby. It's possible because it's soapland. Victoria was trying to run Adam down, changed her mind, argued with him, got upset, and accidentally hit Ashley. Ashley told her it was fine and then walked away. He soon collapsed and nearly died. When he woke up, he had no memory of the incident. Victoria confessed to the poice, but had no proof of her story, a story made even flimsier because Adam had scrapped the car without her knowing. When Robert began trying to get Adam to confess or else, she and Adam ran off for a while. Laurel has been doing OK. Mostly trying to help Ashley, and getting on Harriet's nerves. Her nadir was when she got drunk while Ashley was in hospital, thought he'd died, and went around telling people...including his daughter Gabby.
  19. Thanks. Touching story. I always loved Jordan's work as Billy...I guess many did, as he kept coming back even after some of his real life troubles.
  20. If you have a chance at least try to watch Nick and Althea's wedding (which is around late November 1968), and the episodes where Ed and Anna are brought in after a car accident (mid-January 1969).
  21. Hopefully that will be a strong story. I think he could do well. I can't help feeling let down by the Vincent story. He's just a camp, silly gangster, and the constant comparisons to Paul Trueman do him no favors. Every time he does that high-pitched squealing I cringe. He also has little chemistry with Kim, and after the character seemed to be on the road to growing up, she's back to being as dumb as ever. The woman who plays Shabnam is a bit weak as an actress, but I like the serenity and quiet pain she brings to the role, which added a great deal to the scene where she saw Jade for the first time. Masood's anger over the hate crime was another strong scene. It's too bad about all the rest with Kush, and Stacey, and the baby - which she will likely lose and see as a further punishment. Buster is another disappointment, going back and forth about a child's future to try to please Shirley.
