Margo comes into the station and learns from a deputy that her mother called. Lyla comes by just as Margo picks up the phone to call her. Announcing it to the world, Lyla tells Margo that Michael has been hired as the new specialist for the Oakdale Memorial cancer ward. Margo cringes at the news, but soon becomes speechless when Lyla says that she'll be moving to Houston, Texas to receive treatment. Margo quickly pulls her mother into the interrogation room and lectures her on her rash decision. After all the medical troubles Lyla has been having, the last thing she needs to do right now is take up and move somewhere, even if it is only for treatment. Margo reasons that Lyla can still seek treatment at Oakdale Memorial, but Lyla growls that as long as Michael is working there, she'll never set foot in Oakdale Memorial again.

Tired, hungry, and filthy, an emotional Lily takes a rugged breath in before once again screaming for help. As Lily falls asleep, someone stares down the hole at her.

Will comes home from his morning class and sees that Gwen hasn't made it home yet. He welcomes Barbara in, who tells him that she's made all the arrangements. Will vaguely hints to Barbara that soon, Iris will be out of Oakdale for good. Barbara asks where Gwen is and Will claims he doesn't have any idea. He goes on, citing how Gwen has been missing quite frequently lately and has been taking Hallie with her on "walks". Barbara guesses that all the stress has finally gotten to her and suggests Will book them an out of town excursion, a vacation of sorts, so Gwen can rest and relax. Will likes the idea and later, he goes to see a travel agent about a weekend getaway to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.

Brad knocks on Kim's door and Kim welcomes him in. She says that she heard Lily has been out of reach. She asks if there's anything that WOAK can do, but Brad replies that Holden is on his way to Barbados and all anyone can do is pray that she's safe. Kim asks Brad what brings him to her office and Brad shockingly replies that he's quitting. Kim assumes he got a better job offer elsewhere, mentioning that local rival networks have been clamoring for a piece of the Brad and Katie pie. Brad assures her that he's not leaving because he got an offer, but because of personal problems. Kim reluctantly accepts his resignation and agrees to Brad's request that today be his last day. Later, as the show wraps, Kim thanks Brad for everything, leading Katie to start asking questions. Brad tells Katie that he's quitting and today is his last day, but before she can ask anything else, Brad has packed his things and is out the door. Kim walks up and comforts a shocked Katie, telling her that although Brad didn't say it, she gets the feeling this sudden resignation has something to do with Brad and Katie's relationship. Kim leaves Katie, as Katie begins to realize Brad quit because he couldn't have her.

Margo comes home for lunch and finds Casey sleeping on the couch. Margo chuckles at Casey's befuddled reaction when she wakes him and asserts that he must have had a late night last night. Casey smiles, remembering the fun time he had with Sofie, and Margo tells him that she's proud of him for putting all his problems in the past where they belong. As Casey talks about moving on with Sofie, Margo notes the irony of the statement she just made and without thinking, says she wishes Lyla would do the same. As Tom comes in on his lunch break also, Margo informs her husband and questioning son that Michael Peretti is the new cancer specialist at Oakdale Memorial. Casey's ecstatic, seeing this as the perfect opportunity for the whole family to come together and rally around Lyla. After Casey leaves, Margo says that she didn't want to upset Casey, but now that Lyla knows Michael is in Oakdale, she's refusing treatment again. Tom asks why and Margo replies that she doesn't know quite yet, but she hopes to find out very soon why her mother's so deadset against letting Michael treat her.

Back in Barbados, a young villager named Rohan politely indentifies himself and is able to pull Lily out of the hole. Lily walks forward to thank him and her ankle gives out. Lily puts on a brave face and says that she'll be fine. Lily asks where they are, remembering a long walking trip to the coat before falling in the hole. Rohan replies that she's in Bathsheba right off the coast of St. Joseph. Lily tries to walk away on her own, but seeing her troubles, Rohan suggests they go to his uncle's so she can get some ice for her ankle. Meanwhile, Holden arrives on the island and starts asking for his wife, pestering a local sitting nearby. The local hisses that she should have left a long time ago. Hearing the local's venomous mumbling, Holden grabs him up by his collar and angrily asks him what the hell they did to his wife.
