Personally, I wish I still cared. F.uck US soaps. :)

Love this thread though, or at least when it appeared daytime still had something of a pulse left.

Oh, what will this year bring?

Every year I wish for Guza to leave GH but it never happens. LOL

And this year will be the least active ever with so few soaps and HWs rarely get fired/hired now. I think AMC has the best chance for a HW change while the other soaps will remain the same.

Here are my 2011 predictions:

OLTL: Passanante will be officially promoted to co-headwriter but no new breakdown writer will be added
DOOL: Higly will "step down" as headwriter and swap positions with Culliton who will become co-headwriter with Whitesell. (Will Corday allow this? maybe since the show was renewed...tomlin has filled the staff with all his friends...)

AMC, Thursday Jan 6: Lisa Conner replaces Chip Hayes as breakdown writer. AMC may have been [!@#$%^&*] for a few years but since the 12/27 episode, the show has rocked. It feels like early 90s GL/AW...kudos to JHC for making the show look better and hiring vets and name brand soap actors. This show might outshine the others in 2011...what horrible thing will Nelson Branco find to say about DK/DS/JHC? I'm tuning in.

Yeah noticed that today. Is Chip Hayes demoted back to a SW now then? For the most part I liked Chip Hayes' scripts in the past, and the random one we saw of his last week was pretty good to me, so if he is a SW again i'll be looking forward to watching his episodes. Thursday's show felt really good to me, could it have been because of Conner, who knows? Anyway I agree with you that the show has been good as of late, for me it started at the beginning of last Dec.

I find that interesting. When I said a few months ago that AMC feels like it's a P&G soap, I was shot down. I guess because I wasn't saying it as a compliment, considering the fact that I don't like P&G soaps. But whether I like them or not, it still feels like one.

ABC fired her due to them cutting 20 scripted new episodes this year. :) So I doubt it.
