GL: Jon/Tammy/Lizzie

I have to say that Tammy has won me over by being such a good friend to Lizzie. I loved the Lizzie/Tammy ITL,

except for the fact that they showed the same scenes to many times. That got annoying, but I love the way Tammy stepped up and came up with a solution to the problem. I like the idea of Jon/Tammy?Lizzie being friends. Too bad Lizzie is bound to screw this up just like all her relationships. The three of them together should be a lot of fun. I like it that Tammy is secure enough not to hate Lizzie. I also like it that Tammy went to the spauldings to help Lizzie.

I hated Coop and Ava in their picnic scene. Don't ask me why, I'm on Lizzie's side. I know Coop was in the right. I just feel like he and Ava are a little too good. LOL!

I am enjoying the contrived story too. They all have great chemistry. I'm glad Tammy is not backing down.

Coop is being wasted on Ava nad he was a jerk badmouthing lizzie like that. I can't stand him these days.

The story sucks a-- but I don't hate it quite as much as other people and all the actors (except John Driscoll and Michelle Ray Smith) involved have good chemistry and are making the most with what they're being given with.

I thought Tammy/Lizzie's ITL had an interesting concept but got annoying repeating the same scenes until they got to the point where they showed whoever's POV they were trying to show.

When I first started watching GL, I was more of a Jonathan fan (I liked Tammy but she grated my nerves at times w/ her indecisiveness) but this past year, Tammy's quickly become my favourite character. Stephanie Gatschet is such a talented young actress who gets waay too little credit, unfortunately. I think it's a damn shame that TPTB can't get off their asses and write a story that centers around Tammy only for once. She has more of a role in this baby story and has become more self-confident and mature (I appreciate that her reaction to the entire thing was so unsoaplike) but this story is still ALL about Jonathan & Lizzie and their having to deal with becoming parents...Tammy is just getting sucked into this mess and being dragged along w/ them. I've noticed that they've brought up quite a few times how Tammy has never gotten over not having a constant father figure in her life but why can't they actually deal with this and make a real storyline out of it..not just a passing mention. If they can deal with Jonathan's childhood, why not Tammy's...a character who viewers practically saw grow up and go through so much crap in her young life (ie. watching Dinah kill Hart, Richard's death, the whole mess with Jonathan, killing Sandy, etc.)...there are soo many issues to deal with here yet the writers feel like boring Cova is more entertaining. And while I love the Jonathan and Lizzie characters and agree they have issues that they need to deal with...it can't be dealt with everyday..it's starting to get repetitive and the story is failing to really move. How many times can we hear Jonathan say that he doesn't want to be a father or Lizzie complain that she's all alone?

Tammy has been growing on me recently. I kind of wish they would have made Jon/Tammy/Lizzie good friends like Beth/Phillip/Rick before this baby mess started, but I guess that would have been to out of character for Jon at this point. Still I'm ready for him to have some friends and a life outside of Tammy.

I agree about the writers getting repetitive with Jon saying he doesn't want to be a father every day, but I'm also tired of hearing that all he cares about is Tammy. This aspect of it is getting a little too soapy because it's setting Jon to have this huge revelation when the baby is born. It's going to hit him that he really does love this kid, ect, but I'd rather have it happen slowly over time.

I do wish there could be a really friendship between Tammy and Lizzie at least. I'd like Lizzie to have one real relationship where she recognizes that someone is being good to her and she returns that. I don't think the writers are ready to write Lizzie that way yet, but I hope they do soon. I do love Lizzie, but this one note selfish behavior will get old eventually.

Coop and Ava are really driving me nuts. They are just syrupy sweet right now and a little too smug. Sometimes I want Beth to come along and lock Ava in a freezer just for the heck of it.

I don't really know how I feel about Jonathan/Tammy/Lizzie acting like good chums...while I think they're trying, I don't think they're quite there yet. It's realistic because there is so much bad history between all of them and you just gotta look at each of their characters to see why trying have a friendship is a struggle.

Lizzie & Tammy's friendship has always been messed up but now they're acting like best friends. Lizzie has almost always treated Tammy badly (didn't she try to run her over once and hurt Sandy instead?). For whatever reason, Tammy has been able to find it in her heart to forgive Lizzie just like she's forgiven just about a hundred other people who have ever let her down in her life. But this whole thing is kinda in character for Tammy...if she could understand Jonathan then heck, of course she'll be able to feel for Lizzie somehow and understand and sympathesize with her for being completely alone. Part of Tammy feels sorry for Lizzie and the other part of her is playing nice just for the baby..because she thinks every child deserves to know their father...and I think Lizzie has finally begun to realize how much of a friend she has in Tammy and how lucky she is that Tammy can be nice to her at all even though Lizzie has been a crap friend all this time.

Jonathan's attitude in general is starting to grate but I'm not quite as annoyed with him when he says that all he cares about is Tammy as opposed to him denying the fact that he cares about his child. Why? It's soo freaking obvious that he's going to become attached to this child (I mean, he already is!)..why hammer into our heads with his constant denials? It's almost too theatrical...but this is a soap and if we have to witness this type of dialogue every single day, like I said..it just grates. I don't think Jonathan will ever genuinely become friends with Lizzie...if he plays nice from now on, it'll be because of Tammy and later on when he finally admits it, for his kid. I just don't think he's the type of guy who'd innately want to try and become friends with someone he doesn't really like. Still, civility will be a refreshing change from the screaming matches we constantly get from Jonathan & Lizzie...and that will just freak Alan out.

As for Coop & Ava...they are so out of this story right now (they're still being shoved down our throats as this great couple...I had to laugh when Lizzie almost threw up when Ava took off her shirt with her bikini underneath). They were a good part of it when Coop still believed he was the father but now that he knows and has pretty much severed his ties with Lizzie, Cava are in their own boring island. I do think Ava is headed into a storyline with Olivia and Frank but where does that leave Coop? I don't see them doing a Cozzie reunion anytime soon.
