Austin agreeing to marry Sami still is more believable then Carrie marrying Lucas. Sami and Austin at least had a relationship off and on for years while Carrie and Lucas really had nothing in the past but a crush on each other. I guess we can say that Austin doesn't want to hurt Sami so that is why still wants to marry her.
