Members bellcurve
Rutro! We can ONLY hope DAYS's airing on Wednesday garnered enough attention to get the show a good number. Otherwise, the ratings will look really shitty and jagged if something weird like GL beating them in the ratings happened.

Members dawn9476
LMAO at these ratings. NBC and ABC can't use the Holiday excuse because B&B and Y&R went up.
Members PhoenixRising05
WEll, Days and Passions numbers were expected. Good thing they only counted Wednesday otherwise GL would have beat Days and the numbers would have been alot worse. They will pick up next week-they always do. Days will be to 2.5 next week at least. Looked like a crappy week for all the soaps though so I am not too upset. The holiday killed everyone this week. Members dtchicago
Ouch... a 4 way tie for 3rd place and only a 2.5. That's bad!!
Members Angela
dawn, only OLTL went up in HH for July 3. Very bad, in my extensive AMC ratings chart over at an AMC board, I do "blacken" the 2.4 and 2.5's in HH because they are AMC's stink (danger) level...so what does that say about GH? lol. OLTL relatively speaking is doing well. DAYS always has a very tragic week during Wimbeldon, so they're excused.
Members Ms. Walsh
Exactly! But to put a positive spin on things, I'm glad that ATWT held constant over the holiday week. The show was amazing last week, and I know for a fact that a lot of people were on vacation doing stuff. I wasn't home most last week and had to tape...so I'm not too surprised that the ratings are this crappy.
Members Lskreet
Just wanted to let you know I made a typo when it came to Friday's number for General Hospital. It should be 2.4, instead of 2.5. Sorry about that.
Members PhoenixRising05
Uh yes they can. Y&R and B&B had two more days to balance things out while Passions and Days only had one. ABC can't use it as an excuse but NBC sure as hell can. This is traditional too for Wimbledon so who knwos if NBC watches even bothered to tune in knowing this was the preemption week. Even so, one day counted vs 3 days makes a difference, especially since those two extra days Y&R and B&B had was after the holiday so people probably went back to watching their soaps. Let's remember too that NBC was off so people probably tuned into Y&R and B&B. Lots of factors there dawn so NBC can be excused for this weel as always because this happens every year for this week. Next week they will be back up to normal levels. Now if you want to go after ABC for their week-by all means they had nothing to use as an excuse. Members PhoenixRising05
NO Rugrat. Dawn said that NBC and ABC can't make excuses since Y&R and B&B went up. Well, that is true of ABC but NBC only counted one day in their ratings and was not even on the rest of the week. That gave all the CBS shows including Y&R and B&B two more days counted than them and two more days counted helps to balance out a number. I mean I doubt Days and Passions would have numbers like that if they had two more days counted last week. Their numbers would have been pulled up. It is likely some NBC fans tuned in to Y&R and B&B those two days so that could have helped them too. Also, let's not forget that it was a holiday week and NBC does have alot of younger viewers so maybe they were gone the whole week and did not watch. Days and Passions only counted July 5 and people may have still be on vacation that day while Thursday and Friday most people had to be back for work and such and were back in daily routine so that helped Y&R and B&B too. Some NBC fans might not have even tuned in the whole week knowing that Wimbledon week is a short week and usually nothing happens so they may as well tune in when the shows return and pick it up. That is what we are discussing Rugrat-NBC has a valid excuse. ABC who knows. Really? One year Days dropped to a 2.1 (I beleive it was 2001). It has been before. Not like this for Passions maybe but for Days it has been lower. Plus, this year the 4th was on a Tuesday so this year they only counted one episode. I don't get how you can say NBC does not have an excuse for this week.
