I'm already hearing that this will be Emmy worthy material for Peter Bergman. I can't wait. It's sounds like it will be a really raw and nasty confrontation between Jack and Phyllis.

Between the fallout between Jack and Phyllis and the fallout with Neil and Druscilla, Young and the Restless has me hooked.....Both of these storylines should be nominated for an Emmy. Peter Bergman and Michelle Stafford are really working it and so is Victoria Rowell and Kristoff St. John.

I can't wait to see next week's shows....

I think depending who the baby daddy is, that will determine how happy Phyllis and Jack will ever be.

I thought it was hilarious that Phyllis actually believes that Nick will be happy about the baby.

I LOVE IT!!!

Smiling Jack is mad! Nick gets decked. And Phyllis is caught in the middle! This is going to rock my world! I just hope Phyllis try to remain as calm as possible b/c of the baby. But, this is going to turn GC upside down! I LOVE IT!!!

The thing I'm going to wonder is how Daniel is gonig to take it when he learns that his mom is going to be a mother of either Nick's or Jack's baby...Daniel really wanted Jack and Phyllis to get back together; and they are just not making steps to repair their mother/son relationship; will this tear them apart again?

I look at this way, he knows what his mother went threw where she was told that she could not have another child so I really hope he is happy and concern about her no matter who the father is. I think he would love for the father to be Jack but I also think a part of him would not mind Nick cause that would mean him and Noah would actually be realated threw this little girl. Yes I said little girl.

Wow! That looks [!@#$%^&*] amazing! Go Jack Go!

Poor thing! I'm rooting for him all the way, but I still really hope he and Phyllis are able to salvage their relationship and she can get over her obsession with Nick. This baby better be Jackie's!

    • Six minutes into watching today's episode, and there's Joey...... Ugh!!
    • We have to deal with more Tide and Febreeze - that’s really what’s paying the bills for the show, so it’s a necessary evil.
    • It is interesting that Ann lasts as long as she does as a character on the show. I assume the show chose not to renew her contract, but I don't know for certain. I also believe Millette Alexander's contract wasn't renewed after she last appeared at Christmas in 1982. Looking back, I really wish that they had ended up pairing Sara and Mike Bauer versus Sara and Adam. Sara and Mike were already good friends, and it would have been an interesting twist in 1978 if Sara and Mike had a fling after Dean Blackwell's death, Sara turning to Mike for comfort after Dean's death. Mike and Sara certainly could have been a tentpole couple moving forward, unlike Mike and Elizabeth.
    • I wish they’d inject some of Colby’s real life energy, and yes, fashion sense, into Kat.
    • Like I've said before, I think the show is often a very strange (and admittedly fascinating to me) mix of very old-fashioned, purple dialogue and classic soap opera structural elements - right down to the insanely blatant, virally successful product placement for P&G - mixed with other dialogue or material that tries desperately to be current and hip. One moment it will remind me of very hokey old B&B stuff or expository stuff out of the '60s, and the other it'll look and sound like the Prospect Park soaps. Some of the hipper dialogue or material (Chelsea's sexuality, etc.) works for me, others are pure cringe. Same with the classical stuff, like the characters (particularly the elders) gathering around to recap plot, make grand pronouncements about each other or their children/family, or make grave portents of the future. Then there's the whole piano thing lol. It's a weird mix, but not one I'm mad about atm so much as mystified by. As a longtime soap fan it is very compelling to examine even when parts of it really don't work, because so much of BTG feels both very old and very new at the same time. I do think they need to dump the Bell (or maybe more accurately Brad Bell) school of dialogue MVJ has been working from for years, and bring in more of the naturalistic GH house style she and Guza worked from in the '90s and 2000s. If that means dumping a lot of the dialogue people so be it (I do think some are good). OTOH the Bell style seems to work for a lot of the social media and probably offline audience that isn't me, so who's to say. I don't think Dani is at all in the latter-day Carly though. She's not on quite as much, and she's far from always right. I do think they are definitely playing it down the middle with the Duprees while waiting to reveal more, but I do think they want you to see them both ways or divide the audience on who they are. Which seems to have succeeded because some people are baffled.
    • Might this show be a black stereotype? Angry crazy acting women like Dani and Leslie. Cheating punk men like Bill and Ted who didn't keep it in their pants. Angry black men like Martin. Promiscuous black man wanting the white girl. Dirty black cops. And so on?

    • That would require Dani to think about someone/something other than herself.. and we all know Dani only thinks about Dani.  Including her butting into Nicole's business instead of just being a supportive sister.
