I poste this on another thread, on May 20th.
in reply to someone mentioning he "max users" error:

I said :

quoting myself from May 20:

I've gotten this intermittently today and last night. (from desktop Windows PC, Chrome browser). When this happens, I refresh the page, but then it displays weirdly and suggests that I use the SON app. I ignore that and refresh the page again and it works fine.

Edit to add, I think it said SON has an "app", but I wasn't aware such a SON app exists?

I didn't take a screenshot of that -- if it happens again, I will.

Update, it has happened a few times since then. And again last night. Here's more info:

Occasionally (rarely), when I refresh the page after getting the "max_users" error, the screen displays HUGELY. I tried making screenshots last night but the display was so huge, that it would have taken me at least 10 screenshots scrolling down to show it all. It was so big that one of the icons was bigger that my entire screen. My sense is that the "browser display format for phones" (vertical) was trying to display on my desktop PC (horizontal), and it was magnified a gazillion times. Each time it's happened I tried to screencap it, but it was so much that I gave up. Then when refreshing again , it reverted to normal display.
Yeah I think the vertical phone display was trying to show on my horizontal-screen PC, and that's why it was suggesting getting the app -- an app for my phone.

When it happened last night, this time, I scrolled way down to see what it all said and I saw this. This is apparently the error I got each of the times there was the weirdly huge display, but I hadn't scrolled all the way down when it happened before.
This is the error I got last night when scrolling down the huge display -- I positioned the scroll so I could screenshot it:

Thank you. Is there anything more recent, particularly since my last post on the subject?

Thankfully no issues since your most recent post!

Errol, as far as I know the only problems I encountered where when you were fixing things, so no problems at all really. Thank you for your hard work. I wonder how many glitches happened while you were tweaking things and should therefore be left to the muses.

Glad to hear it!

There were two issues that caused the max_connections and styling errors. One of which was that the cache rules had to be tweaked to better align with the exclusive needs of the boards.soapoperanetwork.com subdomain, and the other was rebuilding the theme used for the SON Community. Because of the previous cache rules, even though the issue had already been fixed in the backend, users were being fed an outdated cache of the max_connections (500 error) page. It was never truly just too many connections. Meanwhile, the funky- looking page as shown in @janea4old 's post above was also due to a cached version.

Unless I'm told otherwise, the max_connections, funky screen and login/logout issues have now all been resolved.

Thank you @Errol for your efforts to troubleshoot these issues. I'm able to post without any major problems.

Thanks!

When you say "without any major problems," does that mean you are still having an issue that hasn't been addressed?

The site went down for a few minutes with an error but it came back up. Other than that, I've had no other issues. Thanks again.

What was the error and when did it occur?

It was a 400 bad request error an hour ago.
