As has been the tradition for several years, “General Hospital” will once again air an encore on Memorial Day (Monday, May 25), with the long-running soap opera returning with originals on Tuesday, May 26.

The episode selected to air on the holiday features “One Life to Live” icon Erika Slezak (ex-Victoria Lord Buchanan) as Ronnie Bard, the long-lost sister of the late Monica Quartermaine (the late Leslie Charleson).

In the episode, which originally aired on November 3, 2025 (#15828), Ronnie is about to sell the Quartermaine house when Tracy (Jane Elliot) arrives with Monica’s real will, exposing Martin (Michael E. Knight) for forging the previous version and blackmailing Ronnie.

With the revelation, Ronnie destroys the sale agreement, prompting Drew (Cameron Mathison) to storm out, and Michael (Rory Gibson) shares that Monica actually left the house to Tracy, not him, per the terms of the will. Meanwhile, Martin rushes to his sister, Laura (Genie Francis), to confess. Elsewhere, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) looks into Portia (Brook Kerr) as a possible suspect in Drew’s shooting, and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) grows suspicious of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) secretive project. Later, Portia walks in on Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) kissing after learning that Curtis knows about her pregnancy, and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) unsuccessfully tries to convince Laura to back his takeover of Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) piers.

Though the overall episode wasn’t Slezak’s last on the show, it did show that Monica’s real will had Ronnie receive a locket and sufficient funds to purchase a home of her choice in Duke Forest, a neighborhood in Durham, North Carolina, which Ronnie noted was her favorite. Meanwhile, the true “sister of her heart,” Tracy (Jane Elliot), received the Q house.

“I can’t believe she even remembered that,” said Ronnie after hearing what was in Monica’s will, as stated by Ned (Wally Kurth). “Oh, my god,” Ronnie continued in tears. Addressing Monica’s spirit, she added, “When I was 16, you turned me away, and now you’ve given me a house. Thank you so much.”

Looking over the new will, Michael points out that the only thing changed from the real will to the fake one was Ronnie getting the house instead of Tracy, although Ned noted that the jar of Pickle-Lila, which, per the fake will, was to go to Tracy, was another addition by Martin. “Told you Monica would never be that cruel,” responded Tracy in response to the pickle reference.

In a message shared via her official fan club at the time, Slezak commented on her time on “General Hospital,” and thanked the fans for their support, saying, “Thank you so much for all your emails. I am delighted that you’ve been enjoying my work on ‘General Hospital.’ I am very grateful for the kind words you have shared with me. It was wonderful to work again in a medium I love. My experience on ‘GH’ was fantastic, and I hope you continue to enjoy the show. ‘GH’ has an incredible group of actors and writers, and I am honored to have been part of it. Many sincere thanks for watching. Love, Erika.”
