I appreciate you sparing us the broken record! Though, to be fair, if we removed the 'contrived' run-ins and 'awkward' dialogue, the episodes would be about six minutes long. But I’m sure the writers are just waiting for your script to arrive in the mail so they can finally learn how the pros do it.

Seriously, can we see your better scripts.

If you want to pay the going rate for a professional screenwriter (and I am a professional), I will gladly write a script. Otherwise, I don't work for free.

I thoroughly enjoyed Mondays episode. Leslie can be a lot but her antics do make me chuckle.

I really like Grayson & Ashley as a couple. I hope they make JV contract, as well as GV. They are both great additions to the already stellar cast.

With the season 2 episode count supposedly at 238, I doubt we'll get an entire week of preemptions this year.

I know Vilasuso said he's open to it, but it's unlikely, due to him and Vaughan both commuting from out of state. I will say at least Vilasuso is higher in status than Vaughan is.

So, do I.

I also like Grayson and Ashley. Sue me!

I do like Grayson and Ashley as a couple, but I'm curious as to why she just accepts his explanation instead of calling him to task. She had no trouble being a shrew to Derek, and he did far less than Grayson ever did.

One thing I do like about the soap is that the Duprees aren't this perfect family though they're a tad delusional thinking they are.

The only Dupree that has bought up a few good points to SPS has been Chelsea of all people. Chelsea rightly said that SPS has been blessed with money and that she could go somewhere and build a new life for herself. It was probably the most compassionate and logical statement made. SPS was alright to label Chelsea as a nepo-baby LOL.

'It's always a pleasure when my oldest granddaughter pays me a visit' said Anita to Naomi.

That sort of exposition is unnecessary to me. Maybe weave in a reference later if they want to remind us of the relationship.

I agree with your comment. To me, this makes the entire show more believable. Many big extended families think they are perfect, but no family is perfect, and I don't mind the Duprees' delusions. The Duprees might be a great family, but they aren't perfect.

That was really clumsy exposition, and there wasn't any reason for it.

First Dani and then Kat hooking into the Lynette story, then into Lia was the most excited I've been about this show in quite awhile. Kat should've been on the hunt weeks ago. She's always been very good in the socialite detective role. But bringing Dani, Nicole, etc. more into these islanded stories is important. Lynette is a route to Lia and the Impaler, but having them more involved with the trail to Hayley would be genuinely good stuff if only the show continues it (big if).

I'm glad I was right that Joey is never going to let the Martin/Kenny cover-up go. Sooner or later that will come out, and it's likely that will ultimately lead to how he will end up dead.

I wouldn't say it was boring that much of the time, but I totally get the treading water analogy. It does seem that stories seem to circle the airport for a long time. It's like ok writers, please move this a long.

I hate to bring this up again, but a few sets would do wonders. Last Friday, Chelsea and Kat mentioned getting massages at the CC. There have been several mentions of characters getting massages or how incredible the massages are at the club. It wouldn't be difficult to create a small room with two massage tables and some other decor. The reception area could be the check in area where they tell guests which room to go into. That conversation between Chelsea and Kat would have had more visual appeal if they were doing it while getting massages at the club instead of the hundredth time we see them sitting at the club.

The same could be said about Chelsea and Madison at the gym. Wouldn't be too hard to take a corner of a set and add a punching bag. Add a few little elements to make it seem gym-y. Some background noise and it would have been visually more appealing than Madison and Chelsea doing whatever they did in the locker room.

The massage table set is a great idea! You would have the option to have characters who don’t usually interact with each other, getting massages in the same room. And yeah, how expensive would it be to build a small set with two tables and some candles and curtains? Sometimes I feel like the show should be trying just a little harder than it is.

And yep, the treading water problem is getting worse. Last year, I felt a lull after Chelsea’s kidnapping. I thought maybe things were quiet because we were gearing up for some big Winterfest spectacle but then Winterfest came and went without so much as a raised eyebrow. Since the new year, we have the plasma ring story (which, sadly, has been horribly executed) and Anita’s cancer story as the main plot elements. Hayley poisoning Bill is still going on, half a year later with no real forward progression. All the other “storylines” are barely storylines at all, like “Madison gets sued” or “The Duprees are worried about Joey even though Joey has done nothing (but the Duprees still talk about Joey’s favor non-stop).

I don’t know why the writers are stuck in a holding pattern. My litmus test on whether this show will last is how they end the Hayley/Bill storyline. This is currently the “soapiest”, most high-stakes story the show is doing. They’ve been building it for a long time. If they bungle the climax and ending of this story, I may stop watching the show. I love spending time with the characters but I want to watch a show where at least OCCASIONALLY something happens that makes me EXCITED for the next episode. Right now, I’m not excited. I enjoy it while I’m watching it but I don’t think about the show when I’m not watching it (compare this to how I felt watching Lauren and Sheila battle it out in the 90s when I couldn’t wait to get home from school and watch the episodes I’d videotaped).

I know there’s apparently a “big” event that is coming up next month so we’ll see what happens. Although I think the show is missing a HUGE opportunity to do something like an “Explosion at the Cotillion” storyline. If you saw an advertisement showing teen girls running around in fancy dresses while bombs go off, wouldn’t you HAVE to tune in? Haha.

I think the blood plasma story should conclude at the Cotillion. Like the bad guys should be on to Smitty and attack him while there. Maybe Martin's security detail saves the day and Smitty will have to rethink his choices. IDK - just something to bring everything together into an "umbrella" ending. Remember, Naomi will be there, too, and I'm sure the bad guys will realize that she's "Rashad's" wife at some point.

How can anyone not love Kat? She is the moment. As soon as she smelled a rat, she took matters into her own hands. She keeps things moving and exciting. There’s so many shades and facets to her, she’s become my favorite character.

It’s crazy these writers are still living off that damn anniversary. That was the only consequential thing that I remember happening and it dates back to last year 😅 The other consequential story was Martin’s, I guess (it’s resurfacing only now), and maybe Dani and Andre? Not much more. oh yes the gambling - but that whole bubble is so forgettable.

Ashley and Greyson are possibly more boring than Ashley and Derek. I’m not sure why they are apparently so well received but good for you people I guess.

I don’t get the excitement about the Lia actress. She’s doing a decent job with her cartoonish character but in my opinion it’s nothing to write home about. Her voice and her delivery are also pretty mono-tone. Can’t wait for her to go. Won’t miss her.

I agree that visually the show is doing a wonderful job. The lighting, the camera angles, the wardrobe are incredible. The set designer, however, should go.
