Despite me not being a fan of Sophia and her storyline, I'm glad that Days finally introduced her father into the show. It was weird that so much stuff was happening to Sophia, and yet he was off screen the entire time. I wouldn't mind him having a bigger part in the storyline now, especially since Amy is so determined to get Holly charged with a crime and because Holly is still being so nasty and bitchy. Something good could happen as a result of this. His and Amy's scenes weren't that bad either. All of this could lead to some conflict for them, which could also involve Tate/Holly in some way.

And yeah, I gotta say it, he's gorgeous

Speaking of gorgeous, I'm glad that Shawn is finally getting out of the hospital. It was nice to see him interact with his cousins Sarah and Johnny. That doesn't happen too often lol and it really should. And now that he's back at Jada's apartment, I'm interested in seeing their storyline, and their relationship progress. The only thing I would suggest is that Belle should've been in it today. Maybe her scenes with Marlena, and Shawn and Jada's scenes today, should've been in the same episode.

I was also liking today's round of Gabi vs. Ari. It was a pretty good showdown, not only over Liam, but Gabi and Ari's history as well. Ari's confession was a bit of a surprise but it makes perfect sense based on the history. Even despite the prison terms, Gabi wasn't the best mother and I really like that Ari brought that up. And revealed that that was the reason why she lived in Arizona with Will and Sonny for so long. It is a little deserved lol and I enjoyed it. That's how you use history. And I'm really looking forward to seeing all of this, and Ari and Liam's relationship, play out.

Btw, who knew that Will and Sonny were such helicopter Dads? 😂

Johnny and Chanel were really sweet too.

Overall, I thought today's episode was a really good one.

And weird that he was in the hospital for 3 months for a measly little gunshot wound 😂

But at least, we saw him today. I still see chemistry between him and Jada; the only thing is we need to see it a lot more

For Days of Our Lives, let's count that as a blessing. Salem University Hospital (if it can even be called that) is not the place I would want to be treated out of the five American soaps. It would be last on my damn list.

Thursday was a snore. Very weird editing and nothing stood out except for the Choi woman getting hysterical. Skip it.

Another good episode. Loving Vico Escorcia as Arianna; a much-improved recast from her predecessor. Absolutely. Hopefully the momentum stays up as we go into the next week of May Sweeps period.

I've been trying to think up a better idea for that Marlena story that has absolutely nothing to do with Lyme disease.

They should've done something like Marlena, not only having nightmares about Stefano/Queen of the Night, but also about other awful times in her life. And also things like Johnny going to prison for shooting EJ, Rachel going to prison for shooting EJ, etc.

And after a while, and with her family and friends rallying around her the whole time, Marlena starts to suspect that the dreams are a way of subconsciously telling her that she now feels vulnerable, and less protected and less safe, now that John is gone. And onscreen, we would've gotten to see her overcome that.

It definitely would've made more sense and would've tied everything together in a much better way.

Kudos to James Reynolds with the episode around Lexie's back from the dead reveal. He played that very well.

Today started off a little slow, but it got better as the episode went on.

Chad and Kristen’s conversation about life and death was good, but I think it would’ve better if he had had one like that with Marlena. I still would love to get her perspective about EJ bringing Lexie back, but how no one was able to do the same for John. It just seems like it would be a natural reaction for her to talk about that, based on the storyline. I mean, I imagine that John wouldn’t have wanted to be brought back but I still would love to see Marlena discuss all that with someone. And Chad seems like the perfect choice.

Speaking of Chad, I continue to be impressed with Conner Floyd. He’s still playing it like Billy Flynn would have and I feel that’s working for him and for Chad. There hasn’t really been any changes with the recast and I enjoy that. It allows the storyline to continue as is. The brother chemistry that he has with EJ/DF was on display today again as well, even though the music in the Brady Pub messed up their scenes a little lol. I still have mixed feelings about Chad getting involved in the whole EJ/Cat situation, but I don’t really hate it anymore. I’m still not shipping either “couple” though. And for once, I agreed with EJ. What he said about Leo was spot on 😂😂

Speaking of that pain in the 🍑, him being the one who’s speculating about Cat being in the ISA, and not Dimitri will always be a big mistake. It seems like we’re getting closer to the moment that Cat is finally gonna be exposed and including Leo in that just messes it up. And I couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit when Rafe told him that Javi had gone to go pick up his boyfriend. I really, really hope we see the bf onscreen.

As for Gwen, I still have no use for her but she brought up a lot of good points to Xander today. Good points that I hope lead to Xander being paired with someone new. Someone that Sarah could actually get jealous about and that’s certainly not Kristen. I don’t even have much of an interest in her new plan for EJ either.

But at least Xander looked hot today 😉😍

I miss the Days when Days was good and in the Top 10 daily on Peacock. The Ron Carlivati days. The show is so boring now. Sigh. Lexi back from the dead is the story no one requested. Snore.

SOLID episode today and a good end of the week. Thank goodness we have Noel Maxam, Paula Cwikly, and Jeanne Marie Ford. They're really turning the tide now. Keep up the amazing work!
