It's literally become too painful to watch Maurice. I had to stop watching the Geary tribute episode because it was so uncomfortable watching him in those scenes with Jane Elliot and Alexa Havins. Needless to say, I never watch the bits with him and DA Sidwell's Wife. Unless the dog is involved.

@Vee and @titan1978 I think we all know I am not fond of OLTL actors on GH, but Tea is someone I wouldn't mind. I think she would be a good match for Sonny. I do have the same concerns about Mo being able to match FL's energy, but at least one person would be trying, which is better than 2 people being lethargic. I am sure FL is more expensive than Sidwell's wife who may just be working to get insurance, but I would assume she's cheaper than Vanessa. Although if the show is going to stunt cast they should just dump 4 or 5 characters and suck it up for Marcil. I am sure Frank would vastly prefer FL's Tea though.

I could see Justine be recast with Florencia Lozano which would step up the Sonny & Justine story? Anyone agree?

Honestly, aside from an inevitable reunion with Brenda, I think Sonny (and MB) has transitioned into what I'd call the curmudgeonly phase of his life. Just pair him with an orphan named Punky and call it a day.

NGL, whenever I see the name "Justine," I think first of Theo Huxtable's ex-girlfriend.

And IA: I wouldn't waste FL on that character, or vice-versa. You could introduce her (Tea?) as someone Justine attended law school with, but to cast her AS nuJustine? Sorry, @Rocket Man , but that's one more fuse you'll have to burn out there alone.

I think Justine and Jacinda were just fine for recurring players to keep it pumping plot wise. Justine actually came alive prosecuting Willow in a way I was not expecting. Jacinda did too in earlier scenes with Nina and Portia.. They are just not meant to be paired with two leads, it’s such an afterthought and a waste of Michael in particular.

I would still recast him, and Robert Newman (or Scott Bryce) were admittedly two of the names I had in mind. But it would be kind of a dissipated, alcoholic Jeff who is a shell of himself and has to rebuild - maybe you could later tease him with Alexis or Anna or whoever. But the real power (and danger) would be Carolyn Webber, a brilliant surgeon, domineering wife/mother and new key antagonist. Played preferably by - the fans would stone me -

Yes, she had that dumb on-off role a few years back but I don't care! She'd kill it.

I do think those court scenes were Contractor's very best work on the show, but they're the only moment I had any time for her. I'd still write her out yesterday, maybe after she inevitably turns on Sonny and brings the knives back out.

I agree both characters are clearly budget stuff for Frank, and it's particularly unacceptable for Michael who is now a strong young male lead. You have to truly invest, not just play the margins while trying to showcase your favorites. But I've begun to think they actually will try Jacinda and Kristina as some subplot fodder, even if I think Kate Mansi is likely gone this year. Frank has lost interest in her role.

Ethan might have chemistry with BLQ. I have issues with the character but he has still more charisma and potential than a number of lingering males in the age range.

Selena and Lydia Look are a classic example of a dayplayer the audience liked for a few days and demanded more of, who then got unwisely elevated into a bigger role (see also: Jacinda). There's nothing there! She just scowls!
