Don't tell us that Anita will need some sort of blood transfusion?

My guess is that Vernon will get involved with the Impaler's operation to get Anita help. As perfect as they are together there needs to be some sort of friction between them and Vernon doing something illegal and immoral to help her would be a good angle.
