Storylines: A Will/Sonny/Paul/Andrew/Dimitri/Javi/Mark mess, A Brady/Sarah/Xander/Stephanie/Alex/Jeremy mess

Just a heads up that Sarah and Jeremy are both Hortons (albeit not by blood, but raised as family!).

Then again, Brady has made it a sport to go after women that were dating and/or married to his uncles Phillip and now Xander (Chloe/Sarah), so Days gets off on that family squick factor! Max Brady having a kid with his NIECE Chelsea being another prime example. Sure, Phillip/Xander didn't know Isabella and vice versa, and Max was not raised with Chelsea and not related by blood, but it's STILL FAMILY. Which is also why Alex/Stephanie still makes me want to vomit, especially since Adrienne RAISED Alex as her own.

Nah

No cousin-cest if I was writing. I’d have Jeremy be solely preoccupied with Stephanie… until his ex arrives with his long lost son 😂😂

So, maybe Leo's not the same selfish POS that he's always been. The damage has already been done though.

As tempting as Dimitri/Peter Porte is lol I appreciate that Leo didn't give in to Dimitri. The last thing we needed was for him to discard Javi the same way that he discarded Gwen. As dull as Days has been lately, the fact that some characters are not regressing for no reason other than that they're awful is one thing I can attribute to Paula/Jeanne, as opposed to Ron. The storyline is being taken more seriously and is more dramatic instead of being the cruel, toxic, poorly written joke that it was in 2023. The biggest problem with all of this is Leo. This would all be so much better and more watchable if it involved any character other than him. Regardless of him, a Dimera grandson should be involved with an Evans-Black grandson, or a Brady grandson, just to play up that whole Stefano and John/Marlena/Roman dynamic. But if we're stuck with Leo, I'd rather he be like this instead of how he was.

And Peter Porte killed it again. Once again, he makes it worth watching. You really can feel Dimitri's heartbreak. And I'm interested in seeing what happens now that he and Javi have had a one on one showdown.

Speaking of Javi, Sarah comforting him was a nice surprise. I wouldn't mind the two of them forming a friendship and commiserating about their messy lives lol Javi often gets stuck in a bubble with Leo or the Hernandez's so seeing interact with more people on the canvas is a good idea. Plus, Sarah might need someone to talk to sooner or later, especially now that Maggie tipped her off about Xander firing Brady. I do think that their showdown should have gone a little longer before Maggie interrupted them. But I did like how Sarah comforted Brady over his firing and let him know that there were other ways for him to carry on John's legacy.

Xander could have had a better person to commiserate with though 😂

As for Stephanie and Alex, they were boring again and so was their plan to set a trap for the stalker lol but I do like the way they wrote Stephanie today. I agree with Steve that she almost seemed like Kayla. I still think that not having Jeremy have a bigger part in this storyline is a mistake. As much as I've enjoyed his scenes with Julie, he needs a lot more to do. I really hope that their suspicions of Jeremy haven't been dropped. That could be the one thing that makes this storyline more watchable.

Greg Rikaart is beyond killing it! A soap actor has to take the most ridiculous script and make it believable. Greg is doing that. The scripts suck, Greg sells it. Love him!

Today was a bit of a mixed bag.

But it was nice to see Dimitri interact with another character besides Leo and Gwen, even though that character was Rafe lol I'm probably gonna die on this hill but their scenes today were just further proof to me that Dimitri's storyline and Rafe's too, would be a lot better if Andrew was the one leading the ISA-FBI taskforce to take down the Dimera's. Rafe's hateboner for the Dimera's, along with Andrew and Dimitri having feelings for each other, coming together and causing problems for everybody would've made this all a lot more watchable. The conflict could've led to some really good things happening for everyone involved and especially for Paul/Andrew. And I imagine that Peter Porte and Colton Little would have great chemistry.

And we got to see Liam again, and got to meet his son. And finally see people actually using the Tom Horton Free Clinic. For a minute, I thought that was going to be forgotten about because of the whole EJ thing. And while this seemed kinda low stakes too, I am a little interested in the cut on Liam's hand and what it means. Maybe he'll finally have something more to do.

Rachel/Sophia was just a waste of time though. Kill them both off. This is another storyline that can be considered a fireable offense, IMO. Brady was a little pathetic too. He's made so much progress this year as a character but today kinda felt like he was falling back a little.

The Dimitri and Javi confrontation on Friday's episode was very cringeworthy, reminiscent of a retro 80's Dynasty scene. I was waiting for them to slug it out in the mud. The acting by Peter and Al wasn't good. I do not recall Peter's acting being this bad the first time he appeared.

Watching today's episode, but I will finish it later today..
