Are Y&R's ratings tumbling down yet? The sooner the better, because we will not get a new head writer until the ratings fall significantly. Apparently TPTB at Y&R and CBS care nothing about quality or the legacy of Bill Bell. As long as ratings remain high, TPTB are happy. Not exactly a creative perspective...

The ratings are not high. The show is #1 by default.

I wish they took more care in recasting Billy than just grabbing JT because he was popular on GH and the previous Billy was a bust.

Actually I think Micheal Roark who played Travis and is now Jeremy on Days would have been a better choice.

Jason Thompson is too old and dour for Billy who was always more light hearted when Billy Miller played him.

I stopped caring about Billy once Billy Miller left the role. I FF him and Sally any chance I get.

Same. Billy Miller was just perfect as Billy, bringing charm, light-heartedness, and cunning to the role.

Jason is serviceable in the role but I don't feel any connection to Billy (except for when Gina Tognoni was Phyllis). He's just there. But congrats to him on 10 years, and at least he got to be a proper leading man on Y&R.

I was gonna add that about he and Gina Tognoni. It was probably the only time he was tolerable and that was mainly to her credit..

How on Earth would they have explained Matt having his original face again when Rick Hearst's Matt had undergone extensive plastic surgery in order to conceal his identity? Do these idiots think plastic surgery is like playing with a Mr. Potato Head?

When nothing matters to a show, then clearly nothing matters.

I have no idea what Eddie is even doing now but if he didn't want to go back to that ugly role on a show that wouldn't pass muster on public access, I can respect that.

Well they didn't explain back from the dead or why Matt now had a different face again so that would not be an issue.

Did they approach Rick Hearst?

Again, I'll state there was zero reason for Matt to be in this story especially if Hearst was not available. At least then they could have used flashbacks to bolster the story. Otherwise forget it.

Roger should have played a new character.

Ask DAYS when they brought back Jay Kenneth Johnson. 🤣

I like seeing Nick at the Abbott estate; it feels right mixing it up with Jack and Kyle, and he finally acknowledged Harrison! Joshua Morrow is kicking ass.
