oh wow. So perhaps the remaining CBS publicists via SmithHouse aren't really savvy as to what/how to promote BTG?

It seemed earlier this year, and even a few months ago, that P&G was doing the best at promoting BTG, holding live events in various cities.

I wouldn't say that at all.

Publicist ≠ marketing/promotion in the visual sense or on social media. CBS itself manages the show's social media and runs the campaigns you see on TV, etc. The publicist can only set up interviews with cast/crew, send out press releases and work alongside marketing/promotion on campaigns.

SmithHouse does not handle any of CBS' socials or their overall promotion campaigns. They, however, send out campaign materials to the press when available.

Think of it this way: Y&R and DAYS created new YouTube channels because neither CBS nor Peacock was interested in sharing the content on the official channels already in place. B&B does the same for their YouTube channel, though they primarily post full episodes there, while the CBS Brand Channel hosts promos and clips that are taken offline within days of posting.

P&G is a marketer and advertiser looking to reach the masses with its products. Doesn't really have anything to do with CBS when they do those live/in-person events.

Well yes of course. Just sayin that the BTG cast came to some of those events -- I was reading BTG actors' social media which talked about the events.

Procter & Gamble sponsored the Cincinnati Music Festival in July, BTG actors were there, and there were actors visiting the P&G museum in Cincinnati -- -and CBS publicity was there also
Several posts from actors in Cincinnati on the behind-the-scenes BTG thread re: that (Link to one of the posts) (more before and after that post)

July 25, 2025 BTG press run in Cincinnati was coordinated by this publicity team from CBS (at least that's the impression I had from the posts back then)

CBS Network Entertainment:
Noelle Llewellyn (ig "newyorknoelle")
https://www.linkedin.com/in/noelle-llewellyn/

CBS Studios:
Dio McCollin (ig "dio.marisol")
https://www.linkedin.com/in/dio-mccollin/

Edit to add, there was a lot of cross-promotion going on. CBS was also doing promotion for a "BIG3" basketball game happening the same weekend in Cincinnati, which a few of the cast watched.

It's also worth noting that CBS allowed an extremists right-winger to take over its news division after the acquisition so who knows what else Skydance is trying to shift in other directions.

Yes, publicists accompany the cast to events like those. That's their job. Doesn't change the fact that CBS had nothing directly to do with any of the events themselves.

Of the two publicists you listed, Noelle, sadly, was one of those let go at CBS. Dio remains and works alongside SmithHouse.

I've talked about this before. I feel like the official channels have active social media but the people working it don't know what to post to actually build engagement. The cast does a better job of posting things that go viral than the official channels. Even when it comes to clips from the show, they rarely post the proper highlight clips.

I'm curious what the show has planned for season two. I do think they had a successful first season but the show still has room to improve and grow. I do find it troubling they kept their entire cast and didn't make any changes (Ashley, Tomas, Derek). If it wants to compete with the big leagues, it can't be running a charity and keeping actors and characters who don't work just because they like them as people.

I also think season two needs to invest in some big name casting which is the only way they will get promo going forward. They good a big initial push but we all knew that after that the promo budget would be gone, as it is for the other soaps. The only other way a soap can get a big buzz is through casting. Greg Vaughn was a smart casting choice but I do think it's disappointing he was ultimately only recurring and will likely be a slow build considering his screentime thus far. That is not good to maintain the viewers he may bring in.

Additionally, with it being a Black soap, they need to lean into that and cast a well-known Black actor. I will say it until it's done but the person they bring needs to be Victoria Rowell. Y&R is their #1 soap and she is a huge star people have been begging to return. Rowell, on contract, could be what causes Y&R viewers to truly sample the show which could seriously build their audience similar to Sheila crossing over to B&B.

They could bring her in as a new character (Hawthorne wife? Dante Green's new wife? Doug's mom?) or if they really wanna push the Y&R crossover element, they could make her Dru and ultimately move Devon and/or Abby to the show which would create a legitimate stream to do regular crossovers between the two shows. Y&R is no longer using Devon or Abby so it wouldn't be a loss to them and would be a huge gain to BTG.

I love all of this. Especially the Victoria Rowell thoughts.

Well they keep repeating the same promo from the Arculette's stuff from months ago, that airs at the end of YR BOLD and BTG. Yes I have not seen a new promo during or after the show in months

Yep. And honestly, I've over that. Time for a new promo. I'm surprised they didn't do a promo for GV.
