It really is not. The eye mite arc is up there with Jean Passanante's(?) pet subplot where someone (Olivia, IIRC) had to go to court over public breastfeeding, leading to I think Alexis and the other women going titties-out in court. Riveting stuff.

I absolutely remember this happening. I think Nina even asked Olivia to pose topless for Crimson breastfeeding. It was around the same time she was having psychic visions (Olivia)

Well, CM isn't Jane lol. As an audience we also have years of history with Tracy and know she has layers even if the writing isn't there.

I like Drew being a shameless villain privately. He's gone a little too far. He can at least try to act like a normal human in public lol.

Yeah that’s my problem. He is so publicly evil. Like he doesn’t hide it at all anymore, which is dumb. I did like you mentioning EJ on Days. That’s exactly how Drew should be. But now he’s a moustache twirling villain at all times.

And to think they could have gotten him there post-shooting easily.

Another wasted opportunity.

Holy sh.it Portia’s affair came out on the stand. Omg that was perfect soap opera.

I love that everyone now knows Drew was blackmailing Portia as well.

Who the hell wrote that letter to Alexis?!!

Kind of astonishing that today’s episode managed to pack in a whopping 33 characters. What other soap can pull that off these days?

If they want him to be so publicly evil they should have him doing gotcha style political interviews like Fox News, so even his work is a ridiculous as his life.

I totally could see Drew as a Fox NewsMax personality, lol.

I'd rather watch an episode that was well-written and had only three characters.

I think part is also the actor. Cameron has rarely been a very nuanced actor, shown again with his hissing/eye-bugging when telling Alexis that she won't be seeing Scout over the holidays. It's easy to write for him as a cartoon.

She was having psychic visions while getting her breasts out? Was someone at the show trying mushrooms at this time?

Anything I read about the show in that certain period of time sounds like a demonic GPT.

I actually think they had pulled way back on the psychic LSD visions by that point if not eliminated them entirely post-Ron. I am not sure when she last had one. I'd bring 'em back tbh! I liked Psychic Olivia in doses lol. Olivia could do a riff on the recent spate of Eastenders flash-forwards, or the dream/near-death experience of future portents Ava had on LOV years ago: She can see a cryptic vision of events in the coming year at its start. Hey, it's a fun gimmick sometimes.

I think Cameron is as good as the quality of writing given to him. He always works hard. I do think he was uniquely suited for the nuanced power player/cad Mulcahey was molding him into, and he is by his own admission enjoying being the cartoonish black hat they've made him into since. But he could occupy a happier medium.

Happy holidays, y'all.

Like @Vee mentioned, I don't think Olivia has had a vision in at least a decade, but she had them around the time she was dating Sonny. They were violent visions like Sonny bleeding, Lulu getting stabbed by Maxie, Duke being Faison, visions of the water crisis etc. There were a lot of them lol and they were mostly correct. Like Maxie metaphorically stabbed Lulu in the back by lying about being her surrogate.

By the time the breast feeding story happened, I don't think she was having visions anymore as Olivia/LLC was gone for a while since LLC was pregnant IRL. Once she returned, I think that whole aspect of her personality was phased out.

If you ever go back and watch the 50th anniversary episodes they refer to Olivia as the local psychic on the Nurse's Ball red carpet.

If you ever want to know details on silly, forgettable stories, I am your girl.

Happy Holidays, everyone!!!!
