During an interview with Michael Fairman TV on the Red Carpet at “The 52nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” two-time Emmy winner Tamara Braun inadvertently revealed the name of the character Roger Howarth will be portraying on “The Young and the Restless, and since then the daytime drama series has released a new promo teasing both Braun and Howarth’s roles on the long-running drama series.

According to the actress, who made her debut earlier this month as Sienna Bacall, Howarth will be portraying her husband, Mitch Bacall. Meanwhile, the new promo notes Howarth will make his debut sometime this week on the long-running daytime drama series.

“She’s a badass,” Tamara said to Michael Fairman TV. “So, you take that for what you want. I love Sienna Bacall. I love her wardrobe. I love her attitude. She’s got a bit of an edge. She’s had a bit of a life.  She knows how to take care of herself. I’m very, very excited to see what unfolds.”

As for working with Howarth, who previously portrayed Franco Baldwin on “General Hospital” during her time on the ABC soap where she played Kim Nero, and her former “Days of our Lives” co-star Lucas Adams (ex-Tripp Johnson), Braun says, “I was hired before both of them. It was just random that everybody ended up on the same set at the same time!”

In her red carpet interview with Soap Opera Network, Braun revealed that it was Josh Griffirth, executive producer and head writer of “The Young and the Restless,” whom she worked with at “Days of our Lives” when he served as the show’s co-head writer while she portrayed Ava Vitali, who reached out to her about joining the soap opera.

“[Josh Griffith] gave me a call and asked me, and said I have this great, cool character, I’d love for you to play. Are you available? And I was actually working on a film called ‘Drifter,’ and so my start date overlapped with when I was shooting and he was kind enough to shoot that back, or scoot that back a little bit, and so, I was all game and very excited to come on over [to ‘The Young and the Restless’],” said Braun.

Yeeeeah that promo gives me flashes of the promo when Genie Francis joined Y&R

I felt not a thing for him, but I definitely felt Tamara was her character. I haven't seen an episode with her yet but I know she will bring it.

As bleak of shape as the show is now it weird to think that was a time when it was even worse lol.

I definitely didn’t feel anything either. Am I suppose to care about the Bacalls? I mean I like TB as an actress, but I’m already feeling that they will be gone faster than you can say Ashland and Tara Locke lol.

IKR. Though I liked MAB a bit better.

And given the recent spoiler I am seeing red. But hopefully, they will go the way of Ashland and Tara as well.

Hahaha funny I wrote this before that said spoiler.

Obviously a character like that has no place for longevity on Y&R so its basically stunt casting for a short term arc is my guess as we saw with both the Jordan and Jeremy Stark stories.

Oh, I know. :)

And both Jordan and Jeremy especially had more potential than that.
