I know it was discussed, but yes, you can add me to the bland male list. There really are not many that stand out on this show. Especially compared to the women who definitely stand out. I agree with you about Bill. Timon has been great since Day 1. And my favorite Bill is a subtly crafty Bill, but if you had told me that I might be down for Dani/Bill during that first month, I would have laughed at you. But I am loving the Bill/Dani/Andre triangle. THEY feel like a triangle. Dani/Bill/Hayley just never did to me because it seem clear to me who to root for. 

 

Same. I don't get it. There was a lot more of Nicole feeling like the heartbeat of the show in the first few months because she was connected to/acted like a compassionate mother to everyone. Since the anniversary party in May, there are just scattered scenes and little POV and I don't get it.

AMEN. The girls on this show... outshine the boys by miles. As many soaps have that same issue too. I'll never stop repeating that it's a disgrace to have Eva and Kat even in the same sentence as Tomas. It demeans the entire conflict. It the man was worth it... or at least could put together a natural sounding sentence... it would have a looot more blood.

I mean...if I sat down to think of the men on BTG...beyond their hotness of course...the only people who stand out would be Bill, Andre, Vernon (when he's Dark Vernon more for me), and honestly TurtleneckTed. They have very specific vibes that in spite of Andre and Jacob looking alike on screen sometimes stands out.

 

Meanwhile, the ladies...I can pick out Nicole, Dani, Eva, Kat, SPS, Mona, Vanessa, Anita, Shanice etc., etc., etc. There's a spoil of riches.

What if Hayley is married to.....Dante Green. It was a quick mention but Randy talked about them pulling a con in Chicago. He was one of her first marks and perhaps she used her government name so that would make it valid since there was no divorce and he did not die when she ran away. I can see this being what finally brings him to town after he learns she is alive and in FC. Maybe she faked her death and he actually did care her and throws his money and power behind protecting her from going to jail when the Bill deception is revealed in exchange for her being his wife again. He does this as a power move to get back at her playing him as well as leverage to hurt the Duprees bc he still has an axe to grind with Vernon and Anita.

 

The added bonus is if we learn he is Leslie's father which would make her, Leslie's stepmother and the two start scheming together as the new queens of Fairmont Crest

That could be interesting. I really liked Carlton but he came off stalker-y saying he "waited" for Nicole and Ted to break up and he's the man's business partner.

Not me seeing this as I just watched that scene. lol. But...LOVE. It's also a way to keep her around a little longer after the climax of this part of the story. Heck, that would make the scene she had with SPS be another scene of foreshadowing. 

 

 

 

As for Nicole, I have made it no secret she's my favorite character on the show so just like how I was when I was waiting for Anita to get a story, I'm just getting impatient for more presence and POV from her.  I would love for her to be in a triangle just her sister which is just as dynamic.

Carlton did for me. That is usual he admitted he sees Nicole as the one who got away and then he made sense.

Ditto. And I just realized, everyone has 2 children.
Vernon and Anita have 2 children.
Dani and Bill have 2 children.
Nicole and Ted have 2 children.
Martin and Smitty have 2 children.
Vanessa and Doug have 2 children.
Elon has two children lol
Most of these children are unnecessary and it's no coincidence that the show can't keep track of all the relationships, reactions and beats.

Then you have a non-entity like Jan who has 1 child and then you also have Leslie, who possibly foreshadowed expecting another child of Ted's 😅

That and the character in that mode did not work. I'm far more entertained by this as is, it would seem, the majority of the audience. YMMV.

I can imagine the reveal happening at Hayley's trial. A friday cliffhnager ends with an older man walking into the court room, everyone turning around to see him and Anita goes "Dante?", Vernon looks pissed and then Dante looks directly at Hayley and says "Thats my wife". Jaws drop
