That was a whole atomic bomb. Hindsight is 20/20 and I can fully see now how fake Hayley has always been with Bill.

That waitress outfit looked like it was off the last clearance at Party City, but that fits perfect with Leslie.

Rewatching the episode now that I'm done with work and my ears perked up when Hayley stated that she should have gone for Joey Armstrong as her mark instead of Bill.   Doubt he would have been any easier than Bill... but more to blackmail him on if things got dicey.

And did we know in the past that Hayley knew about what happened to the busboy that went after Martin and Vernon... or was that another reveal today?

I saw so many people in the beginning say that Bill and Hayley had no chemistry and now we know that that was deliberate. 

 

That outfit was terrible but damn if Trisha's curves didnt fill it out lol.

Hayley is the Janice Frame of BTG.  Just like Another World she is going to plot with a cohort Randy (Mitch Blake) to kill her rich husband Bill (Mac Cory) and get his money.  Bill’s ex-wife Dani (Rachel) will rescue him at the last minute and save his life.

I’ll be no good if Dani stabs Hayley to death in a swimming pool lol 🤣

This is easily one of my favorite episodes in the last 7 months purely due to Hayley. And no I wouldn’t recast Marquita. I will hear of no recasts for perfectly fine actors while a robot is still employed. I feel like some of you would recast your entire families after a slight annoyance.

Yeah, Marquita has done great with this stuff. It was her constantly playing one-note, simpering bride Hayley for months that left her looking very limited. That was all a front. Who knows how much range she has for a more nuanced character, but for this one as of today she's great.

The biggest weak point this show has left other than Tomas remains Ashley/Derek, who increasingly feel like afterthoughts atm. That could change on a dime of course, but they're still a bit islanded again. It's enough to make me hope Y&R's role for Tamara Braun comes and goes like so many of their newbies, because I'd draft her in a hot minute to play Ashley's big sister or something and dump Jen Jacob. Of course they'd need a younger white woman, so maybe just a new pair of sisters.
