See, I read the scene a bit differently; the eyes Jen Jacob kept giving hinted, to me, that Ashley had an idea that it could be Dani whom Andre was speaking of but didn't want to bring it up on her own date with him.

She truly has been; she embodied that almost "ditzy" kind of vibe that I got from Vanessa in the beginning and now is fully embodying that more confident woman who isn't as dumb [blonde] as others would assume.

The thing is that MVJ clearly wants to honor and showcase Jon Lindstrom, who she shepherded to stardom at GH personally as Kevin/Ryan. Which is admirable in theory, but instead onscreen the surprise has been Lauren Bugliogi basically becoming the same kind of screwball star Lynn Herring did when MVJ transformed the Lucy character and put her with Kevin.

Dani was making cracks about Ashley and her being a nurse that came across as classist, and while I think the scene/dialogue as written did show Ashley didn't read the situation... but Jen Jacobs played it as though she knew what was going on.. but opted not to say anything out loud.  And Ashley did get up to use the bath and then say that she had an early shift so they needed to cut the evening short.

That could explain why I like Vanessa/Joey together.. because Lauren B plays Vanessa in the same vibe/way that Lynn played Lucy.

It's very, very similar and has been since the beginning. I'm sure that's why she was cast.

She does really resemble '99/'00 Sarah Brown there, lol. Right down to the top and straps.

Today (Wed) was phenomenal.  I was completely transported out of my life and into the BTG world (which is how good drama should be)

For me today was like watching a movie.   So many pieces interwoven, and the intensity.  Just Wow.

So many people are raving about Dani/Andre/Ashley and I thought it was the weakest part of the episode 😂😂

Doug and Vanessa being the ones to save Randy could be lead to something interesting happening. 

And, Mike Manning continues to show up. Brandon Claybon has improved but Mike is still the one who’s carrying their scenes. And now that they’ve seen Smitty interact with Jacob and how likable it is, hopefully they’ll have him interact with other characters as well.

Today might be fight day. Nicole vs. Leslie or Kat vs. Eva. Hoping for some action either way.

 

loved how they juxtaposed the scenes between martin and smitty wiith those between jacob and elon. malachi malik was so good conveying the subtext of the situation.

Which is why they are the A story regardless of my feelings of going to that well so soon after the show has started...rather than keep the throughline there, but letting all of them be in separate storylines. And that has been confirmed with the plot twist with Hayley will guarantee they will stay in story together.

Ted needs to shut ALL the Fs up! Eva told him she wasnt qualified and he didnt take the time to training her properly so this issue is not on her. Its HIS fault

How I feel about Joey will depend on the outcome of Martin's secret. Who will pay in this situation, or who will die? I would like to see something that makes him the big baddie in town.

I think Eva looks wonderful today.

I didn't want it either. But they have the strongest chemistry.
