The annual “General Hospital” fan club weekend will feature two more newcomers this year with Chris L. McKenna (Jack Brennan) and Alexa Havins Bruening (Lulu Spencer) taking part in events this summer.

Scheduled to take place from Thursday, July 31 – Sunday, August 3 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Glendale, California, the 48th year of the popular fan weekend will see McKenna joining as Bradford Anderson’s (Dmaian Spinelli) no longer a mystery co-host while Bruening will join Josh Kelly (Cody Bell) as his also no longer a mystery co-host.

The Bradford Anderson/Chris L. McKenna fan event is set for Friday, August 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., immediately following the Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller) event that is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Josh Kelly, who recently dropped to recurring status at “General Hospital,” will be joined by Alexa Havins Bruening for their event on Sunday, August 3 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Immediately afterward, there will be a joint fan event featuring Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn Quartermaine) and Josh Swickard (Harrison Chase), scheduled for 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

There are 14 events overall scheduled to take place this year, including the main event luncheon on Saturday, August 2, the first-ever joint event hosted by Kristen Vaganos (Molly Lansing-Davis) and Kate Mansi (Kristina Corinthos-Davis), and concerts featuring performances by former cast member Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer) and The Day Players Band (Carson Boatman, Wally Kurth, Brandon Barash and Eric Martsolf), among others.

Very interesting; nice to see they're being included. But shocking, considering neither of them have an official GH/network publicity head shot.

I was under the impression that the GH Fan Club Weekend is not an official GH event organized by the show.  I think it's organized by the fan club, which isn't the show.  At least that's my impression, but I could be wrong.

The Fan Club Weekend is usually a series of individual events all on the same weekend, and various volunteers handle the registration for each individual event, as you can see by the "contact email" for each:

I thought the official GH/ABC events are the GH Convention and the events at Graceland.
