He seems to think his character pairs well with a fiery and feisty female even though he has nothing to offer other than being hot. With Sharon it makes sense because she can make up for the things he lacks and still somehow make the coupling of Nick and Sharon make sense. Sharon Case is absolutely the reason why Shick is what it is today .

Why would they bother?

The current opening reflects the show. Cheap looking,basic- with most of the characters dressed and posed poorly.

As for Ms Mandi, she's decided  Jermaine is going to wear ugly shirts.

I think her costuming reflects her taste, not the charcters.

Patricia Field (sex and the City) had a similar 'out there' personal look but could style very disparate characters like Carrie and Charlotte.

Most of the Y&R women are wearing variations of the same theme.

The show tends to film new cast photos during big fancy parties that most of the characters are attending.

I don't know if they'd do a new opening --- unless they already filmed something fancy happening at the Dumas residence in France --  which would have been taped a while back.

I think it's more likely that they are simply adding a picture for Holden - maybe they had filmed an event and have tuxedos on hand.

this gorgeous man being wasted as Audra's obsessed stalker lovesick ex-bf. You can't make this stuff up. LOL

I was just *assuming* that it's an opening credits image for Nathan Owens.

But I could be wrong.
They might have been filming some promotional actor humor clips, or Q&A clips, or little trivia clips ... as Y&R sometimes posts on their instagram/facebook accounts.
