You know it!

There has to be some conflict in order for them to realize that they are meant to be more than booty call hook ups.

There really should have been a Dupree son to serve as a rival to Bill. If not that they should have given Naomi an older law partner or mentor who doubled as a father type figure. That would certainly aggravate Bill.

Lol. I had no doubt when I saw them.

I know, I know. But it was so unexpected. To see the inevitable cracks finally start to show. And yes, their little fight had just as much passion as their love scenes had. Which is why it probably hit so hard. Well that and the words coming out of Andre's mouth because FACTS. And love or hate Dani, it's so...hmmm true to life that someone who is so beautiful, so passionate, and have pedigree, too...sees herself as so unlovable. That really and truly resonated with me. And I'm sure anyone who has felt unloved even when they have no reason to could feel that scene. And to see someone NOT her dad or an immediate family member tell her. And yet Karla Mosley's face told the tale...she still don't believe. It just was so well-done.

I had posted "What if Naomi teams up with Bill against Mike?" but then I rewatched and caught Naomi's comment to Jacob -- that Bill must have known all along what Mike was doing, so she feels Bill is still legally responsible.

And, in fact, Bill *did* know, as evidenced by his conversation with Mike regarding Mike's reputation at Bill's firm, at other firms, and even with female courthouse staff.  So viewers now know that Bill knew all that.  But Naomi doesn't know the full extent.

Andre is too good for Dani.  She's a walking red flag that screams 'Stay away'

This is one of the rare times that I side with the husband and mistress.

Also, I'd love if one day the show does cast Dominique Jennings in a role... and be given more freedom to act on a better written soap as opposed to Sunset Beach

-- Dani is all over the place. She was plastered drunk the night before, and then she goes to the club and pretends she has it all together.

-- I get that -- putting on a show and all -- but why tell Hayley she needs a Plan B when she never had one? I think Dani should stay away from Hayley completely. Her talks with Hayley are embarrassing.

-- I won't defend all of Bill's cheating over the years, but I can only imagine what it would be like to be married to Tornado Dani.

-- Kind of a head-scratcher to hear Naomi practically give a pass to her cheating father while blaming Hayley so much more.

-- Andre has all of a sudden become the therapist for both Ted and Nicole, who start talking about miscarriages as soon as Andre shows up. Really?

-- Martin's booty was popping again today, but the writers need to stop giving him elevated language. I get why they're doing it, but it doesn't work with an actor who's getting comfortable but still needs more time.

-- Pamela doesn't work for me as Dani's BFF. I think Cady is here because she's a name, but flawed and messy (and also awful) Vanessa is a better fit. How is Vanessa a good BFF with Nicole? That makes no sense.

-- The Tide product placement today was good.

Making Vanessa Nicole's BFF was clearly a lateral shift to make room for Cady/Pamela. I'm not convinced it works either, but I do think DD has good chemistry with LB. I do think Pamela can and should have a place on the canvas, as I think her family would be far more interesting to build out than Derek and Ashley. Hopefully it will get sorted out.

Did this person not watch today's show? LOL

It makes perfect sense and the limited time the show has been on the air, Vanessa's been shown to be a good friend to Nicole. Im not buying the friend chemistry with Dani and Pamela yet but revealing today that Pamela was her mentor/agent now makes why are close make sense at least. Pamela seems to be here for the mess that Dani entertains so thats another reason why Dani would like her

Is it? Thats her father and she loves him. She does not want to be mad at him or shut him out of her life but she did so out of loyalty to her mother and her own ego. Dani giving her the okay to let that go is allowing her to let her guard down.

What Hayley did was a betrayal and one that was personal. She can throw her away and not really feel compelled to give her a pass bc she isnt family and quite frankly, she probably doesnt expect the marriage to last and her to be around long term

Yes he is. He tried to kiss Ashley once and when that didnt work, he's left it alone. He's not going after her anymore and in terms of the dynamic between he and Dani, yeah he's alot better for her than she is for him. She's a hot mess with too much baggage. Outside of sex, she is of no benefit to him and is a complete liability. Whereas he has been a positive influence on and for her.

I feel like the issue is that they've obviously shoe-horned her into the show and it does come across as they're sort of making things up as they go along. I feel otherwise we should've known from the get-go that Pamela was her former agent from her modelling days; that would've also made the whole thing where she acts like her "fixer" when she broke into Bill and Hayley's house make more sense.

I hope that in the long run it'll eventually straighten itself out.

    • -- Tamara Tunie was good today, but can we hold back on handing out Emmys? I'm not seeing that yet. -- So Anita has Barbara's entire letter committed to memory, yet it took her DECADES to reach out to Tracy and Sharon? Uh....ok. I don't get the impression that THE DUPREES spent a lot of time thinking about the little people. -- We again heard "Articulettes Strong," this time in the letter. Make it stop already. -- I'll wait and see on this "Anita's Sin" story. My bottom line is that it's unfair to point blame when someone takes his/her own life. -- I thought Tomas looked fine af in that suit today, and that the fit was perfect. -- Why is Basic Ashley kissing her boyfriend while at work in the hospital? I find that inappropriate and ridiculous. Ashley still doesn't act like someone in love. -- The 3-way conversation among Ashley, Derek, and Andre was awkward as hell. -- Hayley was embarrassing for taking her pregnancy test to Dani's. Dani is embarrassing to harp on it. These two need to stay away from each other. -- Dani treats Andre like crap. What he sees in her beyond the physical, I have no idea. No way is either of these two in love. -- Also clueless? Bill and Hayley for thinking Naomi would love hearing about the pregnancy.
    • Susan Lucci was on bereavement vacation because her on screen mom had recently passed away so she was off canvas when this tornado occurred.
    • Thanks @YRfan23 Wow I didn’t realize the cast has gotten that tiny either which is absolutely pitiful.    Surprised that Budig is still on as Taylor barely watched any lol tbh but nonr of the recent daily recaps ever mention her anymore I figured she was out the door soon.
    • I love the yellow bumpers with the crew lol. That's Donna Lewis as the music at the beginning! I haven't heard her in ages. R.J. and Tea were so hot and so underrated. I remember seeing the bit with the Buchanan men promising to show Max a good time in his bedroom and it's still hysterical.
    • I think a lot would've gotten over it the same way they got over the Trina recast, especially since it became swiftly clear NAC is never coming back. The key issue, we agree, is Frank. As long as Trina is onscreen he's not touching that. As for Nikolas, honestly I'd kill him off. Adam Huss has done a wonderful job in a very difficult situation but I don't think he has leading man power for a soap opera (not because he's gay, but he's very intense and I don't think it translates to potential lighter or romantic material; his flirting with Ava briefly was strange) and I was holding out for Tyler to recover and return someday. I am not interested in Nikolas #5 or 6.
    • AlwaysAMC - Your posts are a crack up; they make me laugh.  Thanks.  I especially like how detailed you get enthused about something, and how you curtly and flippantly you reject that which you find subpar.  LOL.   What's great about Annie is her increasing rooting value as time goes on.   I often wanted Annie to be victorious.  Watros infuses her with an energy and a vulnerability that really works, even at times when neither should. Soap viewers often remember and talk about the Big Moments, which is fine, but what I also find really interesting is the 1-2 week time frame that follows the Big Moment.  Later, there are scenes between Annie and Rick involving a trip to the hospital (no way am I telling you why and what happens - hopefully no one does) that I think are as well done as the Big Moment.  Astonishing stuff. Oh..and to reiterate...I ain't telling you sh*t.  You'll just have to suffer!  Ain't anticipation grand?  LOL.
    • @alwaysAMC Glad you made it to the soft rock theme. I share your disgust for the Gilly story, as many viewers did. Gilly was never a big character, but she was a part of why the early '90s feel real and different for GL, and she deserved a much better exit. This was also the last worthwhile role Amelia Marshall had on daytime (I don't even know if Passions fans would disagree). This was also Petronia Paley's only major chance at story and as someone who always appreciated her work, I'm sorry it did not go better for her. And I liked Charles Ewing a great deal on Loving, so I was even more unhappy with how they treated Griffin. It's a deeply offensive role, in many ways.  As for slapping, you may enjoy this, if you are able to find anything onscreen underneath all the ham. It really goes into hysteria in the second clip. As a bonus, you also get a quick glimpse of why the Billy and Mindy recasts were not accepted by viewers. One positive I will say about this clip is that it's one of the few times I remember the show making clear that Roger was able to defend himself if he had to do so.

    • ER Season 15 (first-ish time) BUFFY Season 3 (First time)
    • Probably less than a NBC or ABC soap. There were occasionally slaps. Women slapped men. And parents occasionally slapped their children. There was a period when Mindy and Roxie would fight. But slaps between women were few and far between. The only one between women I can really recall is Vanessa slapping Nadine. There was once where Bea Reardon almost slapped Vanessa, but she didn't. There are probably more, but in general, I always thought CBS soaps (aside from B&B, which used to love Stephanie slapping Brooke) shied away slapping, sort of the way they limited "hell"s and "damn"s to so many per week.

My favorite moments are with Erika and then Robin and Tim Stickney around 7/8 minutes. There are also little yellow bumper moments with the crew, which I enjoy more than the real ones.  There's also a music video at the end to I Will Survive, with Linda Dano and JFP having a cameo (they certainly do know how to survive). Also a fun bit with a frazzled crew member showing cards with the names of every EP she presumably worked for at the show (or maybe just every EP, period).
