Really looking forward to Season 2. Thank God we don't have to wait years in between seasons.

Up to episode 8 and what a stunning ride it's been so far. The organ donor storyline with the teen passing away after an overdose and his parents grappling with accepting it is just one of the many, many highlights. The honor walk was an incredibly heartwrenching ending scene. 

The acting is spectacular. Characters and histories unravelling in ways that feel so organic and interesting. Medical storylines that are just as captivating as the personal stories.

What a triumph! Hope this continues into season 2.

You can say that again! I can understand two years for a fantasy/sci-fi show heavy on SFX, but four, five years? ABSOLUTELY NOT. It's time for streaming to start holding itself to a specific timeline.

 

The rest is just as good! Cannot wait for Season 2.

Oh, and to do a soap tie-in, Joanna Going (ex-Lisa Grady, Another World) did a great job as the mother of troubled kid, David.

To be honest, with her hair all silver/gray now, I didn't immediately recognize her. But Theresa, her character, kept nagging at me, because there was something familiar. So I checked the credits...

Apparently, The Pitt is airing in 3-hour blocks every Monday night on TNT unedited, from 9:00 p.m. until midnight ET, unedited* (*except for F bombs, apparently) through December 29th. So, obviously, Episodes 1 through 3 have aired (perhaps TNT will repeat them?).

The Pitt got a cover on Entertainment Weekly. and there is an article about behind the scenes and what to expect for Season 2, which will premiere on January 8, 2026.

My baby @lukas.jann on The Pitt❤️ so great to see you shine!! I always remember taking Luke on the Griffith Park choo choo train with my mom one afternoon when he was a tiny baby.. the only other rider was a young Noah Wylie and his little baby.. i was like.. “mom.. if you ask him for his autograph I will kill you”… 😂 (because I’m a jerk) I I was def not thinking.. “probably someday this little baby and that dude will be on a random tv episode together”..but.. life is sometimes just funny enough..❤️ #thepitt
