this is the kind of thing i’ve been talking about. i would have been so much more engaged in this storyline if i had a better sense of their back story.

and yes, why now? why not wait a week or two — or three:)  for the reveal? there would have been nothing to lose, and so much to gain.

Oh, for sure. Assuming he doesn't get recast, he still has a way to go. But he came across better today. So a start at least. 

If I was Hayley after today I would probably invest in good security for my house... And probably a bodyguard or two.

I totally agree. Some of why I love the show so far has been the layers of gray going on with the characters.

Possibly, but Dani seems more unhinged than Erica ever was. To me, they're not the same. As someone mentioned earlier, Dani holding a gun on her ex feels more like something Annie Lavery—or even Greenlee—would do. Greenlee’s rage when she tore the dress off Kendall on the witness stand, exposing her fake pregnancy belly, is the kind of intensity I see in Dani.

I think its possible we are all overreading a production choice to have the phone placed that way, but I am certainly not judging given my speculation heavy posts. 

The piece that makes me leery about it being intentional is it hurts her case for leaving her mother to start the purse line. I imagine this accident will be used to keep Chelsea attached to Dani a bit longer and frustate Kat in the process long enough to accept a date with Tomas. 

It's been subtly alluded to, but was more clearly laid out in casting call for Leslie. I'll address that and the stuff about Ted behing a spoiler just in case:

Leslie's husband/partner Alan died recently which was cited in the casting call as the spark that has led to her recent action. It would seem that because she had a man, it wasn't an issue. 

I'm nearly positive the Ted has a twin thing isn't on-air canon yet, if it is even a thing. Someone posted last week that they read Ted had a twin somewhere and that seems to be the origin, not what we have heard onscreen to the best of my knowledge.

It was subtly alluded to in the episodes leading up to Friday's reveal, but it wasn't stated implicitly because it would have spoiled things. If you read my above comment, it should give some more insight.

Jonathan's wife Eleanor, Maggie's husband Roger were both present in the opening with Matt's ex-wife Crissy appearing in June, and Beau marrying Lauren in July

Generation 4: Jonathan had two children with at least one on-air early in the run, Stephanie. Matt's son Bobby arrived with Crissy in June.

Yeah her actions I could see Annie and/or Greenlee doing. Because Erica would never be unhinged about it. But the dialogue for me...especially the parting shot ('I'll see myself out.') with the walk-off was giving diva. And that I could see Erica doing after verbally dressing down her enemies.

 

But you know I bow down to your knowledge on all things Erica so I should just shut up if I'm offending her memory.

What makes the Leslie/Eva revenge campaign extra creepy is that they are about to make life hell for two innocent people who have not done to them what they are alleging, providing the twin angle comes to fruition. They said this show was going to be crazy and wild. It's already taking shape in so many ways.

I don't recall even once someone saying that Erica Kane and Dani are the same.

All people have said is they've seen similarities in certain aspects and vibes and etc. 

And Karla herself has stated that Dani IS somewhat like Erica Kane. And Reva.
