BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread

Forgot to discuss how Hayley got a promotion after Mike retaliated against the receptionist. What exactly did Hayley do for that promotion?

Is Jacob dense? I am asking b/c why does he think that someone accepting money on the street equates to a crime? Especially, when no illegal transaction occurred. And isn't his father a cop, too? And stakeouts take weeks, months, even years to get enough incriminating information. I need him to get it together. I do feel like it was a grim sign when Marcel mentioned his upcoming retirement. I don't think he's going to make it. I think he'll die just shy of that date. 

Naomi going after Bill's firm is juicy and ripped from the headlines. Just what soaps are supposed to do. Sexual harassment/the Me Too movement is still prevalent, and I am glad that BTG is leaning into getting topical again. I think soaps lost their edge when they solely focused on bed-hopping instead of ripping stories from the new. Law and Order thrive thanks to doing that. I never understood soaps steering away from it. 

Eva v. Kat is everything. There is no cliche good girl in the matter. Both of them are ice-cold and willing to get dirty. Yes, I would've preferred for Eva to not do the cliche thing and lodge her fangs into Tomas (I suggested Jacob but I digress), but I am here for it. 

Anita and Vernon = love, BUT I need the exposition to cease. They're telling instead of showing us. At this point, I don't need their backstory of how they fell in love every scene. We know it at this point. The chemistry is there. What I loved was watching them get saucy with each other at the end of the episode. I need more for them! I wanna know more about Anita's band members. I know Anita was Diana (Ross) in that group. Where are the other bitter band members?! Paging Vicky Rowell, Amelie Marshall, and Debbie Morgan! 

Hayley is a weirdo. How can you expect a subdivision that was built by Dani's family to accept you? Girl, you should've moved to another gated community and established yourself as "queen bee" there. I'm over her whining. Girl, you got Bill. Be happy. 

Darn it!! Missed the first five minutes. That said...I hollered that the first scene I saw was Kat mad at Eva wearing her clothes.

 

And uh oh at this lawsuit. And I was shocked to see that Daphne Rose lookalike in the lawsuit. And it made me wonder how Bill and Hayley will look if they go there with the lawsuit.

You're assumption about a character's history, particularly their alleged involvement in abuse is fan speculation and is not based in fact. You are entitled to your opinion, and so are others. 

Unlike the other four soaps, those who might claim to have inside info about Beyond the Gates or spoilers relating to the show are liars as the show does not have leaks like the other four do, which proves even more that there is no indication of what you are assessing as a character trait for Bill Hamilton character.

Yesterday with Martin, today with Vernon...hehe. Nice to see the guys watching out for their girls.

I have mixed feelings on how I wish that will turn out. It would be great if Haley got the job on her own merit, but on the other hand it might be fun of she schemed to get it.

Annnnd looks like I'll be watching the rest later because it seems CBS finds the return of the astronauts I saw on the news last night was more important than finishing the show. Ugh.

Your assumptions about what I have & am posting do not really relate very closely. I have not claimed anything as fact, nor have I in any way alleged "insider information". What I have done instead is fan theory, interpretation, impression & yes, opinion. I have not done anything to negate in any way any other, especially different opinions. I can only guess that you have misunderstood. What is being discussed has not been proven, at all. We know certain things. We do not know one crucial fact, Hayley's age at the beginning of the period in question.

no one hates when the news breaks in more than me, especially when the “news” could easily have waited.

but these astronauts went to space for what was supposed to be 8 days and wound up having to stay more than 9 months! so yeah, that they’re finally back is a big deal.

Like I said, it was on the news last night. So for me, it was something that could have waited. And I can think of far more pressing news from what I saw last night that could early have cut into today that concerned me...and frankly the rest of the country. That was more of a big deal since no one would want history to repeat itself circa 1940s.

 

But I edited that OUT of my original post since we are here to talk about THIS show. Not politics.
